HomeStar Remodeling did an amazing job on our 13 windows that we needed replaced. They showed up were very professional and knocked the job out in a few hours and looks amazing would highly recommend them to anyone that needed windows

The technicians arrived on time. They were very professional. They did an expert job on the installation and they did a thorough cleanup at the end of the job.

I had pushed off a estimate for siding and doors for a couple months due to family members passing away. This company would periodically call to see if we could reschedule and I postponed at least twice. Finally they called when things lined up and I had Ian from HomeStar Remodeling come out the next day. He was fantastic and we concentrated on doors. He gave us estimates and we informed him we would reach out when ready, we wanted to get other estimates, he understood and offered us discounts if we agreed today, we had to decline multiple times due to him asking multiple times. Rating for Ian five stars.

Well I just got a call from Dan, following up and I informed him we had found a better estimate from another company. He went on about the siding and pretty much belligerently trying for me to choose a date this week to have an estimate done on the siding. I told him I did not want to make any decisions without my consulting my husband. I informed him I would call them back once we had a couple dates available. Dan would not take that for an answer. And continued to badger me about setting a date now and I continued to tell him I would call him back. He acted like he didn't understand why I was getting agitated about him ignoring what I was saying. I finally told him that he had definitely lost a customer and to remove our phone number.
I was willing to give HomeStar Remodeling a chance even after them calling me multiple times while I had multiple family members pass away the first few months of 2025.

I do not recommend them and I found the same doors for half what they quoted me.
They get 1 star only because of Ian, he was respectful and nice to my husband and myself but Dan deserves no starts.

Cannot get an estimate unless I can swear on my life that both home owners are available at the same time that is ridiculous!!!! My apt just got cancelled because my husband will be for sure and I work at home and may not be available! So loose a job because of that ridiculous and would t give this company another chance they cancel day before because of this ! Prob best I didn’t use them!! Buyer beware

I was shopping around for new sidings and was contacted by Homestar, I set up the appointment. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it and cancelled it 24 hours in advance. Something came up and we decided to put the home improvements in hold. The communication with the company was great until yesterday when someone call me from the company to literally interrogate me WHY I changed my mind, when I said personal reasons, he wanted a reason and kept asking WHY WHY, I had to hang up because it was getting very uncomfortable. I understand you need to sell but pressure tactics are not the way to treat prospects.

Ian was the best. He was very informative. He took his time and walked through the whole house with me to ensure I understood exactly what was happening with my windows.

From start to finish the team was very efficient and informative. They contacted me with updates from ordering materials/specific colors to comply with HOA requirements, delivery of dumpster and material. When the weather prevented starting the project I was contacted early that morning.
The team manager and crew that installed the siding were very professional, worked quickly, answered questions and were skilled in their vocation. Before leaving each day they cleaned up the work area.
The project was completed on time and at quoted price- thank you. My house looks beautiful.Home Star is a reliable company. I will definitely call them for any other projects for my house.I highly recommend this company to anyone. JOB WELL DONE

I had to wait for over 2 months for them to come fix he soffit on my house under 'warranty' from a whole house siding wrap. This is the SECOND time the same tin has blown off the house.
They did show up to look at it, agreed it should never have come off after the FIRST time they had to fix the same problem and said they would put me on the schedule.
That day came and I got a call telling me the guy couldn't do it because the company only has one (ONE) 'break' with which to bend the tin in order to finish the job.
Called to see what the hold up was and got no call back. So I called the installer who came out, he apologized again for "the boss had the break at his place and he needed to get it back.
I've about had it with this company. First, they ran over budget by $10,000.00 because nobody on-site spoke or understood English. We came to a agreement on that, but this? TWICE? ONE BREAK for the entire company? Yeah .... tired of them peeing down my back and telling me it's raining. I will give them one more chance, and then I'm calling my attorney. Life is too short.

Ian has fantastic customer service skills. Easy to talk with and he maintain eye contact throughout our conversation. His presentation was excellent. I especially like the part where you can pull the windows down to wash them and open at the bottom or the top.

Wasted 3 hours of my day. Came out for windows quote, and told me I need a new roof. Gave me a price quote for $50k for a new roof and $30k for windows. I was quoted $8k for windows by another company. This company says they are the best installers and have the best warranty. Who cares? Thats not worth 4x what other companies are charging.

Kevin worked efficiently to get my sliding door lined up correctly to lock easily. Homestar stood behind their work and got this right. I appreciate good workmanship so much.

DON’T SIGN ANYTHING!!!!!!! I signed an agreement with Homestar and it took over a week for them to tell me I was denied financing. Homestarhad twopeoplecome out to assess the job and take measurements that is as far as they got as i was still waiting on news of financing and still didn't sign actual contracts to complete the work. I was able to find another company to do the job and they gave me financing. Homestar has a sneaky contract cancelation policy that you must pay 25% of the proposed work if you don't cancel within 3 days of signing! Like I said it took longer than 3 days just for them to deny financing!!!!! Now I have to pay over $14,000.00 to them for work they will NOT be doing! I hope this review reaches others before they make the same mistake I did!!!!!!

Excellent service, professional and reliable. They changed my windows quickly and their work was spotless. The staff, super helpful. Will hire them again! Kevin for the Service Department installed my shutters, ensured they look nice and was very professional and kind. I am very satisfied.

They were walking around my neighborhood and got my wife on the hook for an estimate for windows while I wasn't home. They said they would come back when I was home. They showed up but I had a work emergency and had to leave before they got there. The guy proceeded to use language that would suggest my wife is not someone that can make a decision on our home without me present. He decided not to give us a quote until I was available as well. After my wife told me how it went, I called them and told them I was not interested in their service any more. A few days pass and now today I get a call from the guy and after saying 5 times "I am not interested any more" he said "did you get the windows done or something?". Your estimator has no tact, work on that. Take no for an answer, your high pressure sales tactics and disrespect towards my wife is what lost you a sale.

HomeStar was very professional, clean, fast and efficient. They did a great job on my roof so hired them again to do my siding. Job well done. Feels like a new home, love, love the new look of my house.

Just recently had a roof installed This past week. They were in and out in about 8 hours. Used quality materials and only time I seen the guys stop working was when they took a break for lunch. They cleaned up behind themselve, I can’t even tell they were there with the exception of the new roof. They do excellent work.

Absolutely LOVE my new windows!! They brighten every room in the house. The installation guys were quick and VERY EFFICIENT!!! The entire process was GREAT!! Well worth the investment!!!!!

I had new windows and a door installed by Homestar. Overall I was very pleased with them from start to finish. Kyle and the installation team were very professional and efficient in their installation. Every member of Homestar I interacted with was very kind and helpful. I would definitely use Homestar again for any future home projects, and would recommend them to others in the area.

This company has a hard time understanding that no means no. The way to make clients feel safe is to listen to what the clients request. They have people walk through the neighborhood asking about your windows and then say, "Oh I can get you on the phone right now". I shared with the person on the phone that I, indeed, did NOT want to setup an appointment with them that I was in the middle of a work call and needed to leave my front door. I thought that was enough. They have proceeded to call me four times a day to see when I want to reschedule I kindly told them that I was uninterested in the service. We are not doing any work on our home. They continue to ask questions after I say no. They, then, call me three times the next day. At this point, if I ever wanted to get windows done, we would NEVER call them. When someone says, not now, that is what they mean. We don't owe you anything. The harassment is unnecessary.

The team did a complete window replacement at my home . The whole experience from sales to install was professional. I’m extremely pleased with the end results. The windows are great quality and I can already see the improvement based on how my old windows aged.

These guys were amazing. They maintained constant communication from start to finish. The workers were quick, efficient, and polite. They even took their shoes off when working inside the house! They cleaned up everything when they left and even vacuumed and wiped down the floors. The ONLY thing I wish had gone differently (and this was my fault for not thinking ahead) was they reattached the hardware from my old blinds that I’m not rehanging to the new windows. Other than that, completely happy with the work.

Normally, I would not even entertain the idea of buying anything from a sales rep walking around my neighborhood, but in this rare instance I had been considering getting a new roof due to the age of my current one. Initially the representative provided a free full inspection and actually recommend I wait on the new roof, as mine was in decent enough shape to hold out for a few more years. I had fully been expecting a hard sales pitch so that was a pleasant surprise. In hearing that, I told them to call me back in a few years for another inspection and we could take it from there. 3 years later, they did reach back out and came back out for another inspection. This time they went into my attic, up to the roof, and all around the house - much more thorough than expected. They once again said the roof was still structurally ok, but the shingles themselves were starting to wear down pretty significantly. (Which I had seen based on the runoff out of my downspouts). They recommended replacing it in the next year or two before it failed, but were not pushy at all. I decided to pull the trigger (given that the roof was nearing 7 years past its expected lifespan) and they made the process easy. Detailed explanations, demonstration of all materials, and even worked with me to look up comparable companies in terms of pricing and quality. While they did charge a bit more than the others, the professionalism and willingness to be honest with me more than made up for the 5-10% I could have saved elsewhere.
Their crew came out exactly when scheduled, competed the full roof in 1.5 days (a sizeable job) and cleaned up completely while being friendly and professional the entire time. The day after install, we got hit with a heavy storm, 60 mph wind gusts and torrential rain, and not a single issue with the new roof. 10/10, would hire again (in 50 years since the roof is slated to last that long)

Homestar remodeling did and excellent job with installing my windows for my home. They were punctual with the arrival time and the group of men that installed were very careful and considerate of my home . The lead worker showed me how to operate the windows and if I have any problems don’t hesitate to call. They cleaned up nicely. Great job. Will use them again if I need other work

We just finished our third home remodeling project with Homestar Remodeling. Each project has been completed with total professionalism and communication, from initial contact, through the follow up review and estimate, and completed task. We have had porch windows, kitchen windows, and entry door with home windows all replaced. Their pricing, installation, and follow up have all been top notch. Their installers are very courteous, professional, and throughly respectful of our property.

Homestar Remodeling installed new gutters on my home. The gutters themselves were of a much higher quality then those originally installed. They also went above and beyond hooking the gutters up to a drainage system we had installed. The workers were very considerate and left everything as they found it. Planning to use them for future work.

Homestar did a phenomenal job on our new roof. The roofing team was on time, respectful, worked hard, and finished the job in one day!

This company does not take NO for an answer. They will continue to come to your house and continue to call your phone multiple times even though you say you are not interested. If I was, I would not go with them because of the harassment I have endured over the past couple of months.

HomeStar Remodeling provided exceptional service from day one. The representative who spoke to us in our home was very knowledgeable and professional. The installation crew arrived on time and did an amazing job from start to finish. We are very pleased with our new windows and instantly noticed a difference in our bedrooms located ok the 2nd floor of our home.

My experience with HOMESTAR Remodeling was an A-1 experience. From salespeople to office staff to workers on the job, it was top notch. I highly recommend this company for their services.

Crew confirmed work date as planned, and worked in frigid temps and gusting winds. The windows are beautiful and kaio returned a second day to finish a big picture window that proved to be difficult but he got it done and beyond my expectations with the trim!

Crew arrived close to 10 am (not 8:00 as I’d thought) and stayed til 8pm and then again 10-3:00. I was expecting a one day job, and had to cancel plans. But I couldn’t be happier with the work and the windows so still a 5 star!!

We didn’t make a final decision on the windows. However, Joe was truly amazing! Very detailed and personable. Thank you!

We have used Homestar twice now, each experience was great. They came out and did the free estimates, went over our options and answered all our questions.

When the crews came out to do the work they were professional, friendly and worked pretty quickly, each time the job was accomplished in a few hours.

Throughout the whole process the made sure we were happy and made sure we had contact info for any follow questions, issues or anything like that. I would recommend them.

Good service especially Dan. He was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They really gave me good advice. I am so happy with their service.

I have had one interaction with this company and did not have any work done by them so this review is only for the sales guy that did nothing but call and harass me for months, a young man came by my house one day in June asking if I was looking to have any windows or siding done, I was kinda curious so I schedule the appointment but then after talking to my wife decided we werent going to do anything within the next few years so the next time I talked to DAN I told him I was not interested and completely ignored me and kept going for several minutes till I hung up on him and then the proceeded to call me almost everyday for several months I finally decided to answer phone again and proceeded to tell him not interested again and he kept going with his pushy sales pitch again as I proceeded to yell and get angry I will never uses this company from that experience alone!!!!

Had 18 windows replaced. Upon completion the installer and I inspected all the windows. About half of them when opened from the top would not stay open. We completed the paperwork and I selected do not release for payment since the windows were not all operarional and signed the document. I few weeks later I suddenly get an email from the loan company that the funds were released from payment. I have never even received a phone call from Home Star about the repairs or a follow up about the installation. I did finally have someone from the window manufacture cime gic tge defective windows, but still zero contact from Home Star 3 months later. All this company does is take your money and run.

I'm very impressed with Homestar. I'll tell you what, it's not often you find a business that's successful enough to afford high end, quality materials, yet small enough to devote alot of extra time and energy to customers to ensure the best possible service. I was also very surprised at how flexible their pricing was considering their products are a cut above the rest. I highly recommended this place!

These people showed up at my door back in 2022 asking if we wanted a free estimate. Flash forward to June of 2024 they call asking if I still want the estimate being a 22 year old girl living at my parents home I did not want to be rude but was telling them I was not interested. They scheduled an estimate anyways. From there my nightmare begins. I was called consistently the next 3 months three times a day two times a week, I blocked four phone numbers of theirs. In August they called and I handed the phone over to my dad who told them he is not interested, it took several minutes for the point to get across. From then I had peace until october. They started calling again. Between yesterday and today they called me 5 times... This morning I called them back and told them to leave me alone they call too often and it is bothersome and I am not the owner of the house. I hated being rude but I hate being harassed more! I thought finally the point has been made, except it hasnt! I just got a call ten minutes ago from them making this the 5th phone number of theirs I have blocked. Homestar remodeling I do not own my house, my parents do not want their windows redone you people need to stop harassing me and lose my number. Its obnoxious and weird.

The Homestar team were great to work with. Ty and team were on time, responsive and professional before, during and after installation. Nicely done, would highly recommend.

We had a few shingles come off our roof. We called and the company was more than helpful in setting up a tech to come fix the problem. Kevin Hart came out, called me to make sure we were on the same page, and then sent me a text with all that had been done. He was courteous and professional. Thank you for great service!

Ty and his crew did a wonderful job on my home! They replaced the roof and siding. I couldn’t believe the transformation! A whole new house! The even repaired the gutters for me! They completed everything in the timeframe given and cleaned up completely! I definitely would recommend their services! We had our roof replaced yesterday. Ty and his guys did an excellent job. Installation and clean up went better than I expected.

Very pleasant agent. Did the work quickly. Fixed the issue and told me if I had any other issues to call back since it is under warranty. Photo's shows a before and after shot.

Kevin Hart was amazing, he came out and assured us that our roof was looking good and we needed more exhaust in our bathroom to cut back on mold which was not a problem til we had insulation work done unrelated to Homestar. I was very happy with there quick response on this matter!

Homestar did a great job with our windows and storm door installation. We had a minor issue that needed to be looked at and Kevin H, the service technician that came out, provided excellent service and attention. He was courteous and respectful and we were very impressed. Thank you!

Stop calling me. It's been 8 years since your door to door salesperson tried to tell me I signed an estimate (that I absolutely did not) for new windows, and you've been calling me sporadically despite me telling your ever shifting sales team to stop calling me.
It's also been 8 years of me telling you to take me off your call list. I am not interested in hiring your company. Stop calling me.

Step 1 and 2 done. perfectly easy and great. Larry, Shane and Ty were terrific. Very knowledgeable and we are looking forward to working with Homestar.

The representative that came to the house ( Kevin) was very helpful with going over the details of picking and installing a new storm door. I have to wait to place an order for the door and install it for financial and personal reasons but have used HomeStar before for a couple of projects and they do honor their warranty and if any problems they take care of them. Kevin was extremely helpful, professional and pleasant to work with.

Kevin came out to look at a problem we had with the gutter after getting our new roof. Kevin was excellent he figured out the problem and fixed it.

After having HomeStar Remodelling replace all our windows last year and being very pleased with the result, we asked them about replacing our siding. From the initial demonstration and options discussion with Camar to the final installation of new siding and gutters with Ty’s construction teams, we are very happy to say they continued their excellent track record with us. We live in a townhome community with some rigid requirements in style and colors, and the HomeStar team was able to accommodate our HOA without any hassle. They took care of all the review and negotiation with our property management group. Having scheduled for 3 days of siding work, they managed to complete their work in 2 full days of cooperative weather. Not only does the product look great, it’s the extra care and attention they took with their surroundings that makes this 5-star rating undeniable. Their cleanup was immaculate, and they took great effort to cause no damage to landscaping or the surroundings. The crews were courteous and professional. For Omar, Eric, Warren, and all their working crew, our everlasting gratitude for a job well done. Our neighbors have all praised the results as well. I would be remiss if I were not to mention Mackenzie and the staff helping to coordinate our project and keep us informed of progress from material requisitions to contract agreements with our property management to scheduling. Thank you all.

They showed up asking if I wanted new windows, I said no thank you, and asked them to leave. They call me daily asking about it, all hours of the day, morning, night, when im at work, whenever. If I don’t answer them for 2 days in a row they send someone to my house. I don’t want your windows. Leave my family alone please.

We are very happy with the process, the three guys did them job very nicely ,when they do the job they were very quite,they don’t play loud music or talk loud ( I don’t like loud noise this is very nice) work very hard took them whole day and got all the window done help me put the blind back, showed me how the window works , Window look just like the way I want , thank you so much

Update a year later: Never got anything new from Homestar and was actually glad I did not.
They convinced me that I needed both new windows and gutters. I signed up for the gutters but the guys never came on the day scheduled. I cancelled the job. Then they came and without even knocking on my door, they began walking around my property.

Furthermore, I had a seasoned contractor check out my windows and gutters and there was nothing wrong with them. The gutters needed a little repair and the windows are actually really good quality.
Kyle was really nice BUT he clearly did not know anything about gutters or windows, he just knew how to sell them.

Don't fall for Homestar, it's manipulation and sales tactics!

Update#2 (7/25/2023) Well here we are again. Another window leaking, more of the same treatment even though I was promised a different experience if this ever happened again, and just nonstop headaches. They have had over a month to address this new leak and still nothing. Now it has managed to get worse. Originally it was just drywall damage. Now the leak has gotten worse and cause the trim to separate from the wall. I can't believe we are living through this again. Do not waste your time with this company. My biggest regret as a homeowner is hiring them to do anything to my house. If I could have my old, dated, non-leaking windows back without ever having dealt with these folks I would in a heartbeat.

Update. I feel somewhat better about my experience, listed below if you care to read, they have sent a team out to address the water leaking in from the windows. So far so good and have reached out quite a few times to ensure we are satisfied and have apologized for the absurd experience we had. They informed us they reviewed all the calls and even hired more staff to quickly address problems like this in the future. I feel a bit more at ease and hope if there are anymore issues with the windows they will follow through. Summer was one of the people handling the case after being dismissed a few times and did a great job making us feel like a priority. I hope she has a huge part in the training of the new staff! ***Absolutely horrible customer service, I am just baffled by the lack of professionalism and care they provide. I am a previous customer and had 6 windows installed by this company in April 2022. From the start, they were never on time. Delayed the installation the day of due to damaged windows from the manufacturer, which they had in their possession for at least a month. Never thought to inspect upon receiving them? Also, they did not come with screens, so we had to wait weeks after they finally installed the windows for our screens. The caulking and quality of work was much to be desired. I can go on and on about the rest of the installation. However, the most recent nightmare I am dealing with now is two of the windows they installed are leaking into the house. Not even a year later! One evening, during a typical rainy night, the windows started dripping water all from the frame and seal on the inside of the house! I attempted to contact Homestar for two days with no response other than an email asking me to fill out a service request. No one was answering my calls unless I selected a new customer looking for an installation quote. How is that standing by your customers who are part of the Homestar "family" as I've seen in responses from the company on other bad reviews? After multiple failed attempts to speak with someone who works in the correct department they called my wife's number only to offer that they are working on fitting us into the schedule and do not want to inconvenience other customers who are scheduled for installations this week.... I'm sorry, but water leaking into your house when it rains in kind of an emergency when you live in this part of the country. No sympathy or solution was offered by them other than we will contact you when we can fit you in... just mind-blowing. I hope I save someone the headache I am experiencing and hope this reaches someone in that company who can make any bit of improvement with their quality of work and customer service. I allowed them to work on windows for the front of my house with the intent of doing the back at a later date. However, the sales rep talked me into doing the back sooner with the promise of a lower interest rate. The equipment took months arrive, which delayed the work. Once the work was completed, I got a call from them saying they needed to run another credit check, knowing it would potentially change my interest rate (which is exactly what happened as it increased by 2%). Why these imbeciles use temporary six-month contracts knowing that their materials to start a job and schedule it takes longer than that is beyond me. Their compensation offer was three months worth of $50 vouchers! This lack of professionalism is exactly why I'll never do business with them again or recommend them to anyone.

I gave 2 stars because of the representative who sold us on the new roof was very good at his job (obviously) and the workmanship is good. The professionalism and customer service overall is terrible and I would not recommend this company to anyone. Admittedly, we should have shopped around more before going with them. My husband and I are taking this as a lesson learned we will be doing our homework for any future projects.

Home Star remodeling is a true star in the remodeling business. My dealings with them have to do with replacing a 38-year-old roof. Each of the five stars I am giving represents the products and people that make Home Star the company for your roofing needs.
My first star is for the quality of products they use on your roof. GAF shingles installed by Master Elite contractor. These Master Elite contractors are certified by GAF to ensure their products are correctly installed. The second star is for Rob, who came to my home for the free estimate. He was personable, informative with the presentation, and answered my many questions. Seeing this was a significant financial obligation, I appreciate the fact he wasn't pushy. The third star I met was Kevin, the project manager. He had taken the time to go over what would happen the day of installation. Once the roof was completed, he came by to inspect the work answering any questions or concerns. The crew that did the work of installation was polite, hardworking, and cleaned up all debris. These gentlemen represent the fourth star. Carly in the office makes up the fifth star. She was polite and kept in touch when supplies, dumpster, and workers would arrive for the installation.
When you view my roof, it stands out as a star of the neighborhood. You can see the high quality. Now when I pull up to my house and view my roof, I think, “Dang, if that isn't one gorgeous roof." My advice is to arrange a free estimate and decide for yourself if they are the real deal.

This is an update to the first review I left prior to the roof installation. I have to apologize for not mentioning our salesman (Alex). He was extremely thorough and informative about the complete project details and product. Unfortunately, the color of the upgraded siding we picked had been discontinued. We all realize the issues with manufacturing during these stressful times, so we know how difficult it is to break that bad news to their customers. Once notified by Homestar (Austin was very apologetic), Alex was scheduled within 2 days to show us the color pallets. He came out with everything he had to make sure my wife and I could make the right choice.

Now back to the roof. Everything was outstanding, from the scheduling to installation. The installers were awesome, and cleaned our property after the installation (fabulous job). The roof alone makes our house look 100 times better. We can't wait for the siding, gutters and trim capping to be installed. We will definitely keep you updated.
