This is the second project with InSite Builders and we couldn't be happier. Our kitchen "refresh" was done expertly. Not only were they on time, it came in under budget. We wouldn't use anyone else!

In-Site Builders & Remodeling did a great job on our recent kitchen expansion and update! The architect, Tom Reineberg, was terrific and creative in the design. Our project manager, Christina Clark was fantastic and really made sure the job was kept within budget and moving along so the job was completed on time. All of the team members were so responsive and wonderful to work with and we would highly recommend working with them to get a job done correctly!

InSite did an impressive job managing our remodel from conception to completion of construction. They took our old, detached garage structure and turned it into a usable art studio/office.

Dallen Russell worked with great creativity, responsiveness and patience to produce a high quality plan that was within our budget.

Oversight of the work by InSite was excellent, led by Stephan Bernstorf, who checked in person on progress twice a day and helped make sure work stayed on schedule and met our needs.

The subcontractors did good work, kept the space clean and were efficient throughout.

InSite Remodeling's renovation of our 90-year-old home exceeded our expectations! It was critically important to our family that the renovation be completed on time and on budget. InSite delivered. We have heard horror stories about renovations done by other companies that when horribly awry, but are happy to report that our process was seamless and choreographed nearly flawlessly.

The goal of our first floor addition and interior remodel was to enhance the functionality and openness of our home, objectives that InSite helped us to achieve. The design transformed our vision into reality and the production team executed the plan accurately and on schedule. The project manager also communicated consistently with us throughout the project, and InSight's use of BuilderTrend software, which provided daily photos and updates, allowed us to follow the progress of the project on our phones since we were away for most of the renovation.

We were also particularly pleased with the considerate approach of everyone at InSite, especially towards our neighbors. InSight took great care to minimize disruption during the renovation, for which we are grateful. We highly recommend InSite and look forward to working with them again on future projects.

We have a beautiful newly renovated kitchen and primary bathroom at our house in Georgetown. Kitchens and bathrooms are complicated and expensive, and we needed a trusted partner. Having previously worked with InSite on another renovation, we had confidence that Steve, Mary and their team had the expertise, integrity and resources we needed. The InSite team was highly knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with. The design team provided a smart architectural and procedural plan and the wonderful crew executed with great expertise and craftsmanship. We are so happy with the finished project and highly recommend them.

Insite Builders did a complete renovation on my kitchen in 2009. They were great to work with, totally professional and detail oriented. They liaised with the appropriate designers so that I felt I was always up-to-date on the process and had significant input without being overwhelmed. I moved out of my house five years ago to downsize, and rented it for five years. I just sold it (to the tenants!) but in the intervening five years I used Insite for other work around the house, some major, some minor, as needed. My tenants were always pleased with their work and Insite's terrific client interaction helped me establish and maintain an excellent relationship with my tenants.

I’m not one to write letters one way or another, but the service from InSite is so extraordinary I would want any potential customers to consider my positive experience in their evaluation or consideration.

A number of years ago InSite constructed a set of external entryway stairs to our home in Arlington. The design was extremely attractive, and we were happy with the quality and workmanship of the project. We had chosen InSite based on the recommendation and experience of our neighbor.

Recently we experienced some problems with the deterioration of pressure treated wood used in the project. We reached out to Stephen Gordon on the off chance they would share some of the cost to replace the structure. Within days, InSite sent a representative, Ricky Myers, to analyze the situation. I was pleasantly surprised when InSite assumed complete responsibility and within a few weeks had entirely reconstructed the stairs. Again, this is several years after the original construction.

The old adage ‘you get what you pay for’ certainly is true, especially with contractors. I would encourage anyone considering home improvement construction to put their trust in InSite. In my experience they are true to their word and stand behind their product.

InSIte, what can you say other than that we could not imagine using another remodeling company?

We have a Bethesda home that was built with pride in the 60s and InSite has made it a home built with pride for the 2020s. They had to modernize everything, combine a room and completely replace and remodel to bathrooms and bring everything up to code.

On-time, On-budget and they dealt with a pretty demanding client (my wife and I are self-aware at least) during Covid with plenty of supply chain problems. Everyday I use our new bathroom and can't believe how great of job Insite's team did. Highly recommend and will use again.

InSite was recommended to us by a neighbor who hired them for a large home renovation – much larger than the project we had in mind. We were concerned our project would not be big enough for a full-service design/build firm, but from the beginning, InSite was transparent, professional, communicative and consistent about their process. The owner, Stephen Gordon, was very deliberate in his meeting style and it was clear he had a process and a certain cadence to the business origination process that was developed over many years of practice. His clear and considerate style helped win our business, but his team’s accountability and follow-through during each step of the design and build process (including small follow-up items going on a year post-completion) is what has made us InSite fans. The firm came through on everything they promised. They listened to what we wanted, and we got exactly what we were hoping for from our remodel. Our project manager John was great, as was Tito a skilled carpenter. Their sub-contractors all appeared to work well with InSite and our limited interactions with the subs were positive and constructive. As noted above, even though the project is done, the InSite team is quick to respond whenever we call. We would use them again for other projects in our home and have recommended them to our neighbors.

We had a successful and stress-free experience remodeling our primary bathroom and closet with InSite Builders & Remodeling. The InSite Team listened carefully to our ideas and our hopes for the renovation, and we got exactly what we wanted. They were great communicators throughout the process. Our project manager Rick kept the job site very clean and safe; he oversaw the subs, and the workmanship was excellent. Their project management software was updated daily with photos and notes, and we always knew what to expect. There were no surprises on budget. We are very happy that we used InSite for our renovation and would not hesitate to use them again and to recommend them to others.

We hired InSite to help us connect our new dining room (previously a formal living room) with the rest of the house by opening up a small portion of a wall, adding a pocket door, and framing the entrance between the dining room and the foyer. We also hired them to paint all of the dining room walls. This is the first time we had worked with a design/build firm (as opposed to a general contractor) and we were so glad we found InSite for this project. Stephen did an excellent job of explaining the whole process and really took the time to understand what we were hoping to accomplish. Once we decided to move forward with InSite, John, who managed the project directly, was equally wonderful. He provided accurate and detailed renderings of the various options we had for our space, and pointed out little details that we likely would not have otherwise considered. The work began, much to our delight, just before the holidays and concluded in time for us to have our family over for Christmas eve dinner in our new dining space. The crew was prompt, clean, and (during Covid times) respectfully kept masks on, even when they were working alone in the space. John showed up every morning and went over the progress that was made the day before, the plan for the day, and updated us on timing. We were so pleased with the quality of the work and the fact that everything was done on time. We look forward to working with InSite again in the future, and we highly recommend that you hire them for whatever project you are planning!

Insight built and installed a new set of custom shelves in my living room. The process from the first day to the last was incredibly satisfying. I have used InSite for several renovations, and I trust them completely. I was out of town for the whole remodel and came home and found the house spotless. The quality of the work was excellent, the punch list short. I am very happy with my whole experience. InSite provides a very organized process, We liked the steps in the process, and we always knew exactly what to expect and what was coming during the entire renovation. The people assigned to the project, John, project manager and Debbie, designer, were excellent, The were hand selected for our renovation, and they were perfect for us. I'd like to keep them around! John, project manager, is so calm, so reassuring, and his attention to detail is unparalleled. Whatever it takes to get something done, John will do it. He takes care of the client which we appreciated so much. He really cares. The creativity of the design and the will to make what we wanted work was amazing to us. The assistance that Debbie gave walking us step by step through the selection process was invaluable, and we credit her with so much of our happiness with the end product. I could not have done it without her, and she has become a great friend through the process. The kitchen was completely opened up, and we were worried that the existing conditions would prevent us from getting exactly what we wanted. This was not the case, however. Magic happened! We got everything and more that we could have wanted. InSite completed the job on time and were very diligent about making sure that all punch list items were accomplished.
