I have been working with Home Tech since September of 2024 . Our home was badly damaged due to a severe hail storm. Home Tech did an outstanding job from start to finish. With the significant amount of work needed: Roof, siding, trim, and window work, we were happy with the efficiency and quality of work performed. Thank you to Chance, our field tech, and all of the wonderful people in the office. Without their help, our process would have been much more stressful. Home Tech took care of the whole process of dealing directly with my insurance company. We would recommend them to anyone. Our experience was seamless and our home looks beautiful again. I am so grateful that Julie, Luis and crew came to our rescue so quickly after a giant oak tree came down in a windstorm and smashed into our garage. As a trusted partner of our insurance company, Home Tech (Julie) reached out to us within two hours of the tree falling down, and had a crew out here to clear the tree and stabilize our garage the very next morning. Luis and his crew worked continuously for the next two days in arctic temperatures, and Luis updated us regularly on their progress. We felt well informed and in very good hands the entire time. Julie continued to check in, and worked diligently to make sure that the insurance company was making us a priority.

Had a leak and my friend recommended I call Home Tech and boy am I glad I did. Not only did they do a full inspection they even emailed my insurance all the photos and got my roof fully paid by my insurance and all I had to pay was my deductible. Home Tech was recommended by my insurance company to repair and replace my roof after some storm and wind damage in late 2024. The replacement was completed a few days ago. The workers seemed efficient and cleaned up all around my home. I won't be able to tell if any nails or debris were left behind until the snow melts and it's warmer, but I think they picked up everything. The office staff was a pleasure to work with. They made sure to follow all requirements of my HOA too.
I hope all goes well with them getting the insurance portion of the payment.

HomeTech Exterior impressed us with every step of our roof replacement, solar re-install, and new gutter project. I am always reluctant to answer the door when any of these kinds of contractors come around the neighborhood, but glad that somehow this company made it through our "family defenses." We received great customer service through both Nick and Katerina. They did a fantastic job coordinating with our insurance company. They also had to get a solar company to come and remove (and then re-install) our pre-existing solar panels - that felt seamless to us. The roofing crew did a great job and we appreciated their attention to detail in cleaning up as well (barefoot kids running around). Asked if I wanted him to check on the damage from the storm.
I said "Why not!? If it needs to be replaced let's get this done."
In the end, we got a complete roof replacement, and they fixed some issues the previous "Contractor" messed up.
Home Tech was Fast, Professional, and high quality work.
I think it was about 5 Hours including a lunch break and a thorough cleanup afterward.

The hail storm in VA did a number on our entire block so naturally we had quite a few contractors knocking on our door. We said no to all of them until Chance (HomeTech) showed up. The insurance check processing through the mortgage company usually holds things up causing me to be reluctant to start the repair or replacement process. With HomeTech it was handled through there office. The whole process was easy and stress free.

We are very pleased with Home Tech for the way they responded to our situation and quality of work provided. They took the time to assess the problem and offered possible solutions. Those solutions enabled for our new roof, gutters and siding. We tried to handle the situation ourselves with the insurance but we felt that we were being taken advantage of or mislead of information. These guys came to my house because they were "doing work in the area" and asked if i wanted a free estimate; said I could potentially get a free new roof with my insurance. I had never heard of them so I said I wanted to think about it and they said that was fine. They asked if they could call me to follow up later and I said that was fine and gave them my number. About an hour later another dude from the same company showed up at my house without any call or notice and was kind of pushy about checking out the roof even when i said i had no idea someone was coming and i was told i would recieve a phone call. He said he was going to just check out the roof for me and it wouldn't take long so i just agreed which i really shouldn't have. It was my fault for not being more assertive for sure. About 20 min later he tells me his boss is the "metal expert" and he would be here in 30 min to take a look. I told him even if they did get insurance to cover a new roof i had 1. Not had any issues with my roof yet and 2. I didn't have the money for the deductible right now. I said these things to try to deter him but again he wad kinda pushy so I just let it go. Got my neighbor to get rid of them for me. I really didn't like how pushy they are and would for sure never call them just based on the fact that they showed up at my place a second time in the same day without any call.

Edit: they have called me several times today now as well after my neighbor got them to leave. It's pretty annoying that they keep calling...

5 stars all the way around! This man came into our house and absolutely went to town!! He completely cleaned up every little mark and stain that was on our carpet! He had a great attitude and a smile on his face! Great guy and great company. 10/10 would recommend

The work (roofing, siding, and gutters) was quickly scheduled and finished with excellent crews for each phase who were a pleasure to work with. They truly made a big job look easy.

HomeTech put a new roof on my home and fixed my kitchen and 2 bathrooms ceiling after water damage. The crews worked timely and did great job in cleaning up after themselves. I install roof and siding for my house recently with home tech. During this, Alex Hernandez and Marcy and the whole team was incredibly helpful with any questions that I have. They have worked out with my insurance to cover all the damages from hailstones. Initially insurance was not approving all the damages but Alex and Marcy stepped in and worked with insurance to make sure they cover everything. I couldn’t thank you enough for your help. I already referred home tech to one of my neighbors, so anyone looking for roof or siding, I highly recommend home tech, you won’t disappoint folks!

Had an inspection scheduled over a week in advance. Sat around all morning waiting for them to show up and they never did. Called in and spoke to one person who said they would contact the person who was supposed to be doing my inspection and have them call me with a eta. Never received a call from them. Finally received a call to confirm an appointment for the following day, told that person that the inspection was for the current day and I was waiting for a call back about why it never took place, they said the person in charge of my inspection had just walked back in the office and to give them a moment to speak with them. Sat on hold for several minutes until I was hung up on. Never received a call back afterwards, and every call I have made has just rang endlessly with no answer since.

I never experienced such great customer service for Adonis was amazing. He took the time to go over all of the process with my husband and I. He also came over after the completion of the work to ensure that the end result was perfect!! Please ensure that you reach out to Adonis if you need any home improvement.

Home Tech completely removed and replaced my roof shingles, replaced several sheets of damaged plywood, cleaned up the area, leaving no trace of debris or nails. They did all this in one day when I was not able to be here. Their process of estimating the work and coordinating with my insurance company was very professional. I'm very pleased with their work and the fresh new look of my roof.

From start to finish I have NEVER seen a more professional construction contractor! The inspection and determination of issues was wonderful and they worked with my insurance company directly so there was no miscommunication.
The materials were delivered and I was notified ahead and well as notified when work would be done.

I literally didn’t believe they would finish in a day. I’m familiar with the roofing process and what should be done. They arrived on time with more people than I could count and everyone knew precisely what their job was. The roof was completely torn off, necessary repairs were made& so on went the process! The ground area below the roof was prepared to catch debris. After it was removed a team searched for any speck of debris. I’ve never seen a staple, nail or edge of a shingle. Planters etc was move out of the way.

Now my neighbors want to contact Home Tech LLC. I think you will want to as well!

I've worked with lots of builders and contractors. Home Tech is a gem in an industry where you can get easily taken advantage of. I have just enough construction knowledge to make me dangerous, so I went for it and started the interview process for a contractor to repair my roof (from shoddy new construction using builder-grade materials).
From the very first call and the inspection by my project manager, Isaiah, I felt at ease. His assessment was thorough (problem: cheap, weather-torn shingles and broken seal around roof pipes caused leaking in my top floor bedroom). His pics were so good that my insurance adjuster had no need to send their inspector out. The ins company immediately offered me the money for a band-aid repair, but HomeTech went to bat for me, showing plenty of pics to prove to them that a whole new roof was needed. Altho it took a few months (shingle samples sent out to a lab for testing), it passed the required brittle test. The roof crew were on time and professional. And their in-sync work ethic was amazing as I got my new architectural roof installed in less than 5 hours under Isaiah's scrutiny and final inspection!
Now for the interior work: Bayardo, the home interior mgr, was amazing at assessing my ceiling damage from the roof leak and some non-claim-related leaky drain damage. His demeanor was professional as well. And his crewman, Klaybin, did an amazing job at re-drywalling all damaged areas and topping it off with a clean and smooth paint job- can’t even tell there was damage!
To say this company was professional is not enough... They took great care to hear my concerns (trust me, I'm an interior designer, and I'm PICKY!) and their work ethic was as good as Home Tech’s promise. And did I mention my coordinator, Ms. Marcy? She was the "glue" that held the whole project together--- communicating with tact and concern--- and making all the paperwork and scheduling a breeze. My house feels like "home" again! Thank you all--great job!

Due to financial issues we have been hesitant to take action on our roof but, Hometech provided us with a reasonable price to get both our roof and siding done! And on top of that their representative Theo, who was closing the deal with us was reasonable, timely, great with communication and extremely helpful to us as we were deciding how to go about the color, materials, and pricing of our replacement and repairs!

My house looks brand new! I had roof and siding with wind damage, Home Tech did such an amazing job replacing them. I definitely recommend. Once it was approved by my the insurance they scheduled that week and the work was done in less than a day. They kept good communication with me, always available for any questions I had. Home tech worked with my insurance company to replace my roof so that it complied with current codes. They were polite, efficient and competent when they came to do the work. The roof was completely replaced in one day as promised and I am satisfied with them.

Greg did a great job keeping us informed about where we were in the process and updating me. The roofing team showed up right when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves. The roof looks great, and we are so glad to have a new roof--one less thing to worry about.

Do not let them speak to the insurance company on your behalf. Do not let them know how much your payout will be. Instead have them quote you for the job, and you handle the finances.

This is where I went wrong, once they knew how much money the settlement was, they knew exactly what figures they were going to fill in on the invoice in order to receive the entire settlement.

My background is very blue collar and very technical. I also have much experience in project managing, scheduling, coordination, budgeting, etc etc.

They tried to use lower quality roofing shingles initially. It took a while to get them to use GAF shingles, which wasn't even offered. They will try to maximize profits by utilizing lower tier options than the industry's top tier brands. I was told they had a set number of roofing crews who actually work for the company, they don't. They subcontract labor out assuming from the conversation I had with one of the receptionist.

When accessories go missing from your roof, they don't take responsibility. They cant go after the laborers, so they say, you signed the completion paperwork, tough luck. They did not even want to LISTEN to my proposition to come to a compromise with me after their roofing crew lost my sprinkler sensor, which I have photographic and video evidence that it was installed before they began, then wasn't during and post roofing job.

Trying to communicate with them is a nightmare. They do not like speaking to you when there are concerns, other than to work money out of you.

One day I came home to find my gutters being torn apart. There was no timeline communicated as to when the gutters would be worked on. You can imagine my horror to come home from work with two laborers in my yard with my gutters ripped off the house. We had not discussed the gutters in detail, other than I would be able to get new ones. What was infuriating was the fact all they said was "HEY CALL THE OFFICE." "HEY CALL THE OFFICE." You're right, I cant get mad at these guys, they wouldn't have a clue what I was saying or was angry about. I called the office, to which no one replied.

No one at the company would accept responsibility. My representative (brandon) blamed Katie, Julie sweet talks people into thinking things would be taken care of, and Katie said it was Brandon who failed to communicate. Its a nightmare of blame shifting when ultimately the company itself was to blame. Eventually, my representative Brandon, just stopped replying to me all together. Why else would he need to continue talking to the customer he just sold a whole new roof to right?

Watch how you do business with these people. There are many other choices for roofers out there. Don't go for the first company who knock on your door after a big storm like I did. They get one two stars total for teaching me a very valuable lesson. Some of my greatest fears are 2 things now:
1. The thought of my roof not lasting very long..
2. Asking Hometech Exterior to fulfill the warranty

I must admit I was skeptical at first being a smaller company, but they exceeded my expectations. Theo (my project manager) worked with my insurance company and did everything he said he would. Being a first time homeowner everything dealing with home repair is stressful! And replacing a roof caused me much anxiety. However, Home Tech was wonderful to work with. The staff at HomeTech made my experience super easy considering my roof was falling apart. Katie Is super nice and stayed on top of my project. HomeTech did an average job replacing our roof. The work did not last, with several repairs needed to control water seeping in from the flashing on our chimney. More disturbing was a skylight that began to leak within months of the repair.

HomeTech had began to uninstall the skylight, presenting a full-price replacement offer (though stating that nothing was wrong with the fixture) that we declined. The first heavy rain showed a slight leak, so we reached out to follow-up. After more than 2 years of chasing Home Tech with emails and calls, we finally got them to send a crew whose inspection revealed that screws were missing from the skylight after we declined their replacement.

Despite this admission, the long-suffering time spent trying to get any response about their workmanship, and an offer to pay at cost, we got a retail price quote with 10% off and no offer of fixing the skylight well and drywall from the damage. The office manager we dealt with was incredibly condescending, and wrote off a second opinion we got out of hand- no attempt at taking any kind of responsibility. What customer service!

We continue to live with a tarp, and will be choosing another vendor for our renovation this time. They appear to get a lot of work through insurance, so we've warned our insurance provider USAA as well, who are conducting a separate investigation.
