Loved my experience with Maggio roofing. From my first consultation with Jadolo to the installation team arriving and cleaning after completing the work. The production manager, Edgar, was communicative and promptly responded to any of my questions and concerns (I had tough situation) leading up to the installation. The day of the install, the team arrived on time and the Project Manager, Antonio Moscoso, made sure to talk me through the steps. He introduced me to the foreman, Joel Agustin and the rest of the team. Williams, Misael, Elmer, Jose Perez, Jose Argueta, Jose Alvarez, and Luis Carreto immediately got the work area prepped, were kind and worked diligently. They made sure to clean all debris from the yard and paid close attention to a drain I’d mentioned. I made sure to get everyone’s names because I’m so grateful for their work. Nobody wants to have to replace a roof, but if I ever have to again, I’m going with Maggio.

Maggio Roofing did a great job fixing a roof leak on our flat DC roof. They were professional and fast on-site visit and repair day. They took time to figure out best approach and 6-months later the repair has kept the water out.

Maggio did really nice work on our townhouse mansard roof and turret as part of a larger exterior restoration project. Work was swift, and they dealt well with some peculiarities of our very old and not-quite-perfectly-square townhouse. After seeing their work first hand (I climbed up on to my roof to have a look) and speaking with one of their foremen, I feel confident that we've got a beautiful-looking roof that will last for many years to come.

Beware, I was charged $3,000. Way, way too much for a very minor job. I have solar panel. Four places where the solar was attached causing rain leaking in. The attachments
was sealed. The solar employee stated that price was too high.
Do your research first. Get two to three estimate.

It's been years, and.I still think of you everytime it rains...and how I've never had to use your lifetime warranty on my now not-so-new but still kickin' it roof. Thanks, Maggio!

Maggio’s came highly recommended by our realtor and we couldn’t have been more pleased with their roofing services, material quality, warranty, timely communication and scheduling. We replaced a 1 ply TPO material with a 4 ply monolithic membrane material and Maggio’s has a 20 year warranty! Most companies in DC only offer s 1 ply TPO with a 5 to 10 year warranty. Jason was our project manager and he did an absolutely phenomenal job at seeing our project to the end, even going above and beyond with inspection of our solar panels once they were reinstalled and assisting with internal house damage. I cannot speak highly enough of Jason. Best Customer service I have experienced in years! If there were a 10 star rating, I’d be coloring in all 10 stars. If you are in need of roof repairs or replacement; Maggio’s is your BEST choice and I did a lot of research!

We had a great experience with Gabriel and his team. Very skilled, professional and nice guys who went above and beyond on every aspect of the somewhat complicated job. The communication was good and the execution was great. We have been fixing up our old house for a long time and Maggio Roofing is one of the best companies we’ve worked with. We had to repair our porch roof and our experience with Maggio Roofing was excellent from beginning to end. Very unprofessional experience. They initially scheduled a consultation, then moved it an hour later on the same day. When the estimator was 30 minutes late for the rescheduled time, he called and said he was "held up" and couldn’t make it. He then asked if we could reschedule for Wednesday, to which I agreed, requesting the first thing in the morning. His response was, "No, how about Thursday?"

At that point, I told him to forget it. It's clear my time isn’t valuable to them. Being late, calling last minute to reschedule, and then not being able to stick to the new plan shows a complete lack of professionalism.

I’m pleased with the finished work and the professionalism of the workers. They came early in the morning and worked to finish the replacement of my roof in one day..

Outstanding quality and work ethic. Their team was diligent and competent, and the office staff was prompt and courteous. Four stars because the "add on" prices seem very high - over $26 per linear foot of 5/4x6 decking that needed to be replaced, plus another exorbitant sum to make two small optional repairs. But, again, the quality of their work is excellent. I guess, as they say, you get what you pay for.

Excellent experience from beginning to end. I needed a full replacement and wanted it right the first time. Maggio was highly recommended by friends and the good reviews are very much earned. Everyone I interacted with at every step was professional and courteous. Jadolo and Edgar took the time to walk me through my options and answered all of my questions thoroughly and promptly. They are extremely efficient and had about 80% of the work done the first day. They left the site incredibly clean too! I’m very glad I chose Maggio and have recommended them to others.

This was our second time using Maggio, after we hired them, with excellent results, to do a roof repair six years ago. This time we were due for the full 20- year roof replacement, and Maggio was our first choice. Everything went very well- the estimate was very fair, and the roofing crew was very prompt, professional, and excellent at communicating each step in the process. They even finished ahead of the original time estimate. They also thoroughly cleaned the site. The new roof looks fantastic! I absolutely recommend this company.

Maggio was amazing. They answered all my questions, provided transparent pricing, and sent a huge crew. In one day(!!!) they removed the old roof, replaced the damaged, wood, installed the new solar-powered skylight, and finished up the new membrane surface, trim, and gutters. They send us 60 photos of all the stages of the work so there is no question what they were doing up there! We couldn’t be happier. One year, no issues at all.

Antonio Rodas, Baudilio Arias, and Jose Rivera did a superb job repairing the roof on my front porch deck. They contacted me to inquire if they could come 3 days earlier than scheduled to begin the work which was perfect for my schedule. They arrived on time and completed the work in about 6 hours. Very professional crew. I have used Maggio Roofing before and will continue to do so.

If I could rate zero stars, I would. This is the most incompetent, difficult, useless vendor I have ever worked with in my entire life. I hired them to repair a roof that was leaking in Washington, DC. It took weeks upon weeks to get a quote and we were told that the entire roof needed to be replaced. After moving forward with the replacement, it turns out the leaks were being caused by something totally different and the roof did not need an entire replacement - and yes this was after the work had already been completed - and what was really necessary would be an additional ~$20k. Not to mention, they no-showed on the job multiple days/weeks in a row. After almost an entire year of dealing with them, weeks without a response, multiple discussions via phone, tens of thousands down the drain, I finally can be done and wrap up the terrible experience but of course even getting a payment to them is a headache. I wouldn’t recommend Maggio to roof a dog house.

We have working with Maggio Roofing for a variety of needs from a major roof replacement, to roof repair, and gutter replacement/installation. Each time the front end interaction with Steve Zisserman has been great and each time the work was handled very professionally and completely. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

From sales to installation, administration, and close-out, our experience with Maggio was an easy 5 stars. Their technical expertise was paired with a great bedside manner. They proactively provided several options at the start, and clearly communicated the process and the pricing. The house was built circa 1912 and Maggio's scope included replacing the roof assembly, tying into an existing metal facade, gutters, and rebuilding a wooden balustrade.

I own A townhouse in Columbia Heights in Washington DC. My relationship goes back to the mid 1990's with Maggio Roofing. They have replaced the roof on my garage, main house and front porch. I recently needed repair on of my functional and non-functional chimneys. I also needed work on the slate work in the front of the townhouse above the windows. Several slate pieces fell off and needed repair. I would not have know this but when I called Maggio to look at the roof they performed a complete review of the condition of my roof. I received a bid for the work I requested and was given a proposal to repair the newly found roof damage. As always the process was smooth, options were provided. Once I engaged Maggio Roofing to make repairs, execution was seamless. The staff was professional and the work performed was excellent. Lastly, the price was right. I can't say enough good things about this company. Maggio is my go to roofing company.

Maggio did a complete roof replacement with some significant job specific modifications. My original flat roof had problems with pooling and the ceiling had no insulation. Antonio, the foreman, came up with a plan to address both issues and he and his team did a great job implementing it. Their price was higher than I thought it might be but there were good reasons why and I'm very happy with the results.

Maggio exceeded my expectations for my Fibertite flat-roof installation in Rockville. They are extremely knowledgeable and professional and foster a family-like environment among their staff. Everyone takes pride in their work, and it shows.

The porch roof and gutter work is flawless. Our 100+ year old Capitol Hill rowhouse will be standing for many years to come! Will be going back to Maggio for all roof/gutter needs in the future.

We hired Maggio’s to replace our roof after tree fell on it in a windstorm, and they did a great job. They were responsive, professional, and efficient, and even came back to replace the flashing on the front of the house to make sure it matched the cornice (which was our mistake, not theirs). I have to give a special shout out for carpenter Gabriel Zabala, who was able to beautifully recreate the wood corbel that was destroyed by the tree - if you have a home in a historic neighborhood (we’re on Capitol Hill) and need cornice and/or roof repair, you’d be well-served going with Maggio’s!

New roofing material replace worn material on my porch roof and new windows replaced damaged ones. the staff was very thorough and completed work in a timely manner. I had a very pleasant experience with Brian Smith at Maggio Roofing. He gave me an estimate for replacing my roof. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He was also very nice. I decided that I would accept the estimate and sign the contract. It was the best decision that I ever made. My roof was done over the Christmas Holiday. Maggio Roofing is a super company!

This month (late September, first week of October) Maggio Roofing Co. did a terrific job in replacing all of the shingles and installing copper gutters in our Woodley Park house. They did a terrific job! Starting with Steve Piccirelli coming over to prepare the work proposal, he supplied detailed drawings, measurements, and a list of itemized steps to the work. Antonio Moscoso oversaw execution the contract.
Walter Marroquin was the project manager on site, and he did a lot of the work too. His team (consisting of Joel, Luis, Nino, Gabriel, and Elmer) worked efficiently, completing the job in under two weeks, despite interruption from bad weather on three of the days. Each day they left the house immaculate. Access Solutions erected the scaffolding. Both crews were careful about noise.

This was our second project with Maggio Roofing. Some nine years ago they took out the old, bitumen metal roof and installed a lovely laminated roof above our kitchen. Both jobs included warranties. Will definitely use them again!

I cannot recommend Maggio Roofing enough. Everyone from the estimator to the installers were professional, knowledgeable, and fantastic communicators.

The roof of my rowhouse contains a pitched front portion with asphalt shingles and a semi-flat back portion with rolled asphalt and three skylights. The roof needed replacing as it was 15+ years old with multiple layers/patches. Maggio handled everything from assessing the health of the current roof to providing me competitively-priced options for the front and back portions of the roof. Since my house is in a historic district, they handled the special permitting and ended up recommending historically-accurate shingles on the front and a white/beige membrane on the back to help with cooling in the summer.

On the day of the installation a crew of about 12 workmen arrived. They stripped off the old roof, made necessary repairs to the underlayment, and installed the entire new roof in one day. They also reinstalled and re-flashed all of my skylights. When they completed their work, they cleaned up the entire perimeter of my house -- not just where materials may have fallen. The foreman called/texted whenever there was a decision that needed to be made, and gave me a thorough walkthrough of everything that was completed.

The results are fantastic. Rarely do I see such quality work and clear pride in work. Maggio Roofing hires great people and does great work and delivered on time and on budget. My main roof and the roof over my porch
was damaged in a storm in 2021. The house had an architectural dental cornice that had the drainage system built in it. There are only 2 companies in the Washington DC area that have the equipment to fabricate that cornice. Steve P. came out and did the estimate and he worked with my insurance adjuster on a market costing for the repairs. I had to eaiwait veral months for Maggio to schedule me me but it was more than worth the wwork.

Gabriel and Sergio were the two workers who worked to restore my main an porch roof exactly as it was before the it was before the damage. They arrived on time. Wrte very professional and did a beautiful job. They not only completely cleaned up my yard afterwards,cthey also were gracious enough to clean the next door neighbor's yard when they finished to make sure no blown debris was on her yard.

I cannot recommend this company more highly especially for anyone needing speciality roof wotk.

I used Maggio Roofing to replace my flat roof. I chose Maggio because, having used them previously, I believed they were a company I could trust to do the best job. They did not disappoint. Maggio handled every aspect of my project thoroughly and professionally from the initial inspection to the completed installation. Maggio repaired my Mt Pleasant DC porch roof. They also replaced some main beams and the attachment to the house. They knew what they were doing and did a top quality job with the best materials.

Maggio installed a new roof on our row house about 20 years ago, put a coating on the existing roof last year, and just added new roof on a rear addition. Each time, they have been great to work with and we've had a dry house. They aren't the cheapest, but you know the old adage.

We called Maggio Roofing to inspect our roof, as it had been 10 years since we had previous inspection and repairs done. They were professional and forthright, giving us an hones appraisal as to what our situation was and suggested a less expensive alternative, even when they could have sold us on a more expensive course of work.

I had a number of roof related projects and repairs that needed addressing, one of which was time sensitive flashing due to having chimney work completed. The estimator, Steve, was prompt and thorough in explaining his recommendations and provided two separate estimates per my request for the options. Steve continued to be available by email, text, and phone to answer any questions. Maggio was great about working on the timeline that was set based on the chimney project. They also fixed a stack pipe on the roof and sealed the roof. Additionally, they were proactive communicative via email. Edgar provided updates and information along the way both proactively and in response to my inquiries. Finally, the roofing team (Joel and Mary, I believe) were kind, helpful, and did an excellent job. I was provided photos of the work and they even touched up some paint that the new gutters no longer covered due to correct installation. I would hire Maggio again!

Our roof had been leaking for a number of years and we had several roofing companies come and try to isolate the leak. Several repairs later and the roof was still leaking. This year, we hired MAGGIO ROOFING.
Maggio Roofing located the source of the leak, repaired that area and installed a new roof. We have no more issues. The crew was professional, efficient, and responsive. They kept us informed at every step of the way of what they found, how they would remedy problems they encountered, and worked with us to ensure we were completely satisfied. In addition they took care of obtaining the proper permits and ensured that all was protected and cleaned up inside and out. Working with Maggio Roofing was a pleasure as they were so responsive and ready to do whatever it took to make sure things were done correctly. We would highly recommend them.

Maggio installed the Fibertite product on part of our DC row house before a new deck was built on top of it (by another contractor). The work was high-quality and all of the people I interacted - sales, foreman, project lead etc. - were professional and very responsive. This is not the cheapest flat-roof option but possibly the best. Highly recommend. Plan ahead though - they usually have a 6-week backlog.

This was the second time we went to Maggio, having had bad experiences with other vendors. We saw leaks inside and asked them to inspect the roof above. They did and gave us alternatives for fixing it. We made our choice; they set a price and a schedule. They beat the schedule and met the price. In the whole process, Maggio was transparent, courteous, and professional. As they had been when first we used them.

The workers were on time and very professional. They answered all my questions and concerns. I would refer this company to my friends and neighbors. Thank you great service.

UPDATE:
Maggio replaced my flat roof over the summer and did an amazing job with which I'm still very happy (keep reading for the original review). I'm updating because I finally pulled the trigger on ALSO having them install a brand new slate roof on the turret at the front of my house (the old one was on its last legs after ~130 years). Wilder was the foreman again for this job, and he again was super helpful walking me through all the steps and responding to all my questions. When they did demo they discovered a bunch of old rotted joists, and that did understandably increase costs and added another day to the install. They did a really thorough job making the repairs and preparing the false gutter to route water toward the back of the house and preparing the roof for new slates. My roof is a cone shape, and they were reproducing a floral pattern in the slate work, and I'm very happy with the end product. I'll sleep easy at night having seen the quality of their work throughout the process.

My original review after phase 1 (flat roof install):

I'm not one to post reviews very often to be honest, but my experience with Maggio was excellent from start to finish, and I want to give credit where credit is due.

The estimator and the owner put together a comprehensive evaluation of the old roof (even substantiating a series of errors made by the previous installer with actual installation documentation for the product) and then provided both temporary and permanent solution options (with their recommendation) in a way that was easy to understand but was still technical enough and supported with enough documentation that I felt confident making an informed decision. Ultimately I was impressed with their proposal and the product they pitched, and I decided to go ahead and do a full roof replacement.

When the crew showed up on installation day, I was very happy to see them (unprompted) immediately prep the site to keep the area clean and prevent any damage to the back patio and plant beds. Afterward they set to work on demo, and it went pretty quickly and was surprisingly tidy.

The type of roof I had installed was new to me, and I have to admit that I tend to ask a lot of questions. The guys were terrific. They took time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and they were extremely accommodating any time I spoke up with any requests/preferences pertinent to the install. For any contractor, for any type of work, I always check in periodically on progress to better understand the process and of course to make sure the end result is quality (trust but verify). Each time I checked in on this crew I was impressed with what I saw.

In the end, I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the product I got. I walked away feeling that each person with whom I interacted at Maggio really just went the extra mile.

Maggio replaced the drip edge At our condominium and encountered major rotting wood and structural issues. They were responsive, communicative, and fair in their handling of the issues. They integrated the additional work immediately and solved the extra work in a timely manner. The work was done professionally and will a highly skilled crew. Maggio replaced our skylight and repaired our hatch on our flat roof about a year ago. In recent rains we noticed a small leak had started around the hatch, so contacted them to see if someone could come fix it. Within a day they'd responded and set up an appointment. Despite the pandemic, Steve came by within a week with gloves and mask, to check on it. He went onto the roof and did a quick repair which seems to have taken care of it. Because it was under warantee there was no charge for the work. We appreciated the quick response and work.

From the beginning this company was open and honest about what I thought I wanted vs what was needed. That was very helpful in getting to what my home needed and not what I wanted. This saved a-lot of time and money. Their time to complete the job was slightly under what they thought they would need, which was a plus for me. Communications with the company was outstanding.

Steve, Antonio and Jose did an absolutely fantastic restoration of our tin flat roof from 1875. From identifying and replacing problem rafters and reinstalling skylights with new flashing to designing and installing a new interior drain pipe their team really does it all. And even better they do it efficiently, with great communication and minimal intrusion into your home life. If I could give them a 6th star I would.

Had a roof that needed replacement, and that was leaking. Paul came by, did an inspection, and was very straightforward in explaing all the procedures, cost, and the timeline in replacing my roof. Had a semi-emergency with part of the roof before my scheduled date, and Maggio accommodated my request. On the day of the roof replacement & gutters, Louis, with his crew was on time, and very efficient, the work was done in one day. Would not hesitate in using them again, or recommending Maggio to friends, and/or family.

Maggio was really good about coming when they say they would and updating me on the status. They were also good about explaining things and I never felt they were hiding anything (unlike my roof/gutters which were hiding a lot!) and were clear about the project. The guys that did the work worked, and cleaned up when they needed to. The job wasn't cheap (but work like that never is) but I don't feel like they charged me mor than they needed to.

The whole experience with Maggio Roofing was professional, and valuable. We were kept in the loop as the planning proceeded, and were informed throughout the process. The installers did a great job, and I can't recommend Maggio Roofing enough. Thanks everyone!

I have only high praise for Maggio Roofing, and the amazing job they did replacing my Carriage House roof. Steve Zisserman did the initial evaluation and prepared the estimate. He presented lots of detailed information regarding the work to be done, and described each step in the process. Both Steve and the Project Manager, Antonio Moscoso, understood how important the functionality and the appearance of this project was to me, and never minimized my concerns. Antonio consulted with me, and discussed various aspects of the work, when needed. I truly appreciated his shared suggestions, and the way that he guided his team in carrying out each step in this project. All team members (Antonio Moscoso, Joel Agustin, Antonio Rodas, Jose Aguirre, Jose Sanchez, and Emely Pena) were polite, professional and hard working. The finished roof could not be better, and exceeded my expectations. This Company and its team of experts provided high quality workmanship, as promised. I commend them for that, and would recommend them, as well as hire them again myself.

Maggio has been a great resource to work with. The supervisor Antonio came out several times after the contract was signed to confirm tricky details involved in the job and he came out again once the job was done after a SOS because of a leak issue (that had NOTHING to do with Maggio's work). Steve, our salesperson was equally diligent and thorough. He insisted on coming back on site to present and discuss the quote. Maggio's pricing was among the lowest bids we received, the communication to schedule the work excellent. We never had the feeling Maggio to do a perfunctory job, take our money and move on. We had to wait longer than expected to have the work done but that is because they are so good, they are in demand! As a commercial mixed use property with a sizable roof to replace, we searched for a dependable, fair priced roofer for several years; I am glad we waited until we found Maggio.

Steve Zisserman, Edgar Ortega, and the Jose Morales crew of Maggio's Roofing were all amazing and professional people to work with in getting my new roof. Steve took the time to educate me about the roofing and insurance process which was helpful since navigating insurance claims can be very daunting and stressful to the lay person. Jose's crew was super quick with the demo and installation of the roof and they were very professional, easy to work with and did a phenomenal job cleaning up each day and at the end of the project. Edgar was great coordinating the work and very responsive to emails. I recommend Maggio's to anyone needing roofing work.

After making an appointment for an estimate the sales representative came and surveyed the project and failed to give me an estimate after two weeks.
I called the office to follow-up and was told I would receive the bid by the end of the day, and never received it. I got the feeling they were too busy and just didn't feel like being bothered. My business was their loss. Another company happily did the roof for me.

Frank, Ovideo and Jose did a fantastic job - the roof work was completed on schedule and looks great. I would recommend Maggio to anyone, anytime.

We were struggling with squirrels in the attic of a rental house we own and I couldn't get other companies to even come out and look at the problem. I had to wait a little bit to get on Maggio's schedule, but once I did they fixed the problem quickly. I own a few properties and have used them before. I will make them my default roofing service in the future. They are just better than other companies I've used.

In fact, two days after our roof was installed, a bad storm hit our neighborhood. Antonio came and inspected the work again and assured us it was as good as installed. Amazing job! We had a 100 year old building in need of a new roof. I mean some of the rafters were rotted! They did a great job just before winter at an amazing price. Go with these guys. You will not be disappointed!

We have used Maggio on several occasions over the last few years. I cannot say enough good about them. They are responsive, prompt, thorough and know what they are doing. Their workmen are neat and considerate of the environment and of our home. While they may not be the least expensive, the quality of their work, means they are the least expensive.
