Wagner Roofing Company

They are artists at Wagner Roofing. Our slate roof (which was a large part of the beauty of our house) was destroyed by large trees falling on it. Sergio knew exactly the types of slate we had and where to get them. They worked with our insurance and we got a new roof without paying anything above the deductible. Also, Dalton oversaw the project and was terrific, addressing our questions and helping in ways that was above and beyond his job.

They're terrific. I would recommend them to anyone.

We interviewed perhaps 8 different roofing companies for work on our Wardman corner townhouse in DC, and Wagner was the clear leader for the work we needed -- putting a TPO flat roof on our house (above a slate mansard edge). In fact, a number of the others came over and said, "Umm, no, we can't do this. Try Wagner." We worked with Sam Nicolette at the office, who couldn't have stayed more on top of our job and on communication (sometimes multiple times a day) with us. The house is 100 years old, with multiple skylights punched through the roof, and it shares a party wall (and roof) with our neighbor. Intricate scaffolding went up, the men worked incredibly hard and were careful of our yard. They carefully peeled off the degraded roof (and bazillion patches) and surveyed for damage/rot/termites to the wooden structure underneath (thankfully there was none) and then recreated the roof, taking special care around the various (4!) skylights. Sam and the foreman even handled the difficult challenges raised by having to do only "half" a roof, as the neighbor's house took up half the flat roof (and was a different surface). The copper flashing work was beautifully done.

While the work wasn't cheap, the work was worth the cost. Give Sam a call. He and Wagner are great.

I would not recommend trying to do business with this company. I signed a contract to have them come out to review and do roof maintenance on my 1920's tudor home at the new year.

Three months later, after a dozen calls and emails I got me a bill for a visit when I wasn't home nor approved, an estimate for something I didn't ask, and still no estimate for what I need, and no work has been done.

3 wasted months, a $500 bill, and now I am searching for new roofing companies.
