Russ and his team handled themselves with professionalism and integrity. When there was a billing issue resulting from an honest miscommunication, Russ worked with us to resolve it fairly. We will not hesitate to call Home Environment Solutions again should the need arise.

I used Home Environment Solutions (HES) to insulate my attic and the two knee walls in my cape cod style home. I knew I had an issue when my gas bills were $300+ with only my gas being at 65 degrees. HES contacted me after I found them using the Angi app and requested an estimate. Russell (Sales) came out to my place (Feb 2022)and I explained to him my issue and showed him where I believed my problem was in the house. He agreed with me that the attic and knee walls needed insulation and we sat down and went over the options and I signed an agreement with him right there. They were going to remove all the old insulation, air seal the knee walls, cut a hole to access one knee wall and cover back up and then blow in cellulose insulation thru all of it. Russell didn’t try to sale me anything more than I needed and explained everything in detail as what they were going to do. He was a good guy and I trusted his expertise.

A few weeks later, Christie (Office Manager) contacted me and went over the contract with me. She did a great job in explaining the contract with me over the phone and then also sent a recap of everything in an email. There was no confusion in the process, it was just very straightforward.

A few months later (May 2022) when the production team was ready for the install on my contract dates, they called me around 8:30am and said they would be there in a half hour and they were right on time. There were three guys, very friendly and professional. I showed them upstairs to the areas that needed the work and then I just got out of the way and they did their thing. It took two days for them to complete the project. They cleaned and vacuumed everything up and it was like they were never here. They did a fantastic job.

As for the insulation, I already notice a huge difference on my second floor. Before, it was unbearable and so humid on these hot summer days but now the space is useable. Clearly the cold air is holding up there. I’m curious as to how it will be come winter time with the heat but I’m sure it will be a tremendous difference from this past winter.

We stopped by the Home Environment Solutions booth at the Home Show last Fall at the Convention Center on a whim. Our finished basement was always cold as well as our master bedroom which is above the garage. When their rep came out to give us a free estimate, he said that a lot of times the issue downstairs can be caused by a lack of insulation in the attic and recommended that he check the attic while he was on site. He went up into our attic and took tons of photos to show us the condition and were we surprised. We've owed our home for 35 years and never knew what was really going on in the attic. The lack of insulation was eye-opening and we were grateful that the rep took the time to show us. He explained in detail what their company would do to rectify this situation, but it didn't take much to convince us to move forward after seeing the photos. It took a couple months to get on their schedule which was not a problem for us. The crew did a thorough job of removing all the old insulation, sealed up all areas in the attic so no air could come in/escape, and then blew in the insulation. It took them two days. The crew took numerous pictures so that we could see their work during the installation. They cleaned everything up each day and at the conclusion of the job. Immediately we could see the difference in our bedrooms, especially our master bedroom. We are waiting for our first heating bill to see how much of an impact it has on the overall cost. We are very happy with the work that Home Environment Solutions did for us and highly recommend them to others.

This company is top notch! From Christie the receptionist, Russell the consultant, and the two installers, everyone was a 5 star professional from start to finish. The sales appointment was friendly and low pressure and the installation was that of expert craftsmen. These guys worked so hard and treated our home as if it was their own. We even had an incident where one of the installers accidentally mis-stepped and part of our plaster ceiling was damaged. The gentleman apologized immediately, and within 48 hours we had another worker in our home repairing the damage! This company has incredible customer service, performs excellent work, and you would never know there was any accident at all! We are repeat customers and we would recommend this company to anyone looking to get insulation!

We had our attic insulated. Our home is 60+ years old, approximately 1550 square feet and has never had the insulation updated! We have one floor with a partially finished basement. Upon walking from room to room, you could feel the draftiness and variation in room temperature. We called Home Environment Solutions to get an estimate on replacing the insulation. Christie, in the office, was very courteous and prompt in setting up an appointment. Russell came and crawled into the attic. He inspected the current situation and took pictures. He sat with us, showed us our pictures and explained our current situation. He was thorough in what he proposed to do, and was very knowledgeable of the heating and cooling environment. We were very impressed with what he proposed. It wasn't just blowing insulation in, but sealing all cracks and inserting baffles as well in the perimeter of the roof. Cameron and his crew came and were very professional in answering all our questions!! And we had a lot of questions, lol. They removed the old insulation. Cameron took pictures of the process and showed us all the foam sealing they did which was very thorough. This service happened to be done during single digit temperatures! The house had no insulation for a night and the furnace ran constantly! They came back the next day and by the end of the day, you could actually FEEL the difference when going from room to room! The furnace ran noticeably less!!
Even though it was quite a chunk of money, we are so glad we had this done, AND we know it was done right and will never have to be done again! I highly recommend this process and company.

We have been living in our ranch style home for the past 31 years. We have always had uneven temperatures throughout the home and in the winter the outer bedrooms were 10 to 15 degrees colder than the rest of the house. In the summer the air conditioning ran constantly and on the hottest days it could not cool our home to 72 degrees.

We saw the Home Environment Solutions trucks around town and decided to give them a call to see of something could be done about our comfort issues. Mark came out and gave us a full assessment of our insulation and gave us a very detailed proposal including air sealing the attic and upgrading the insulation to R60.

The day of the install the production foreman called us in the mourning and gave us a time they would be arriving and when he got to our home he went over exactly what they would be doing that day. The first thing they did was put out drop clothes and carpet protection from the front door to the attic entry. Half way through the day he checked in with us and told us everything was going as expected. We were surprised to see how organized they were and how they kept everything clean during the installation and when they were finished, they left everything spotless!

In the weeks after the job was complete, we cannot believe the difference in our home. For the first time ever, the bedrooms are the same temperature as the rest of the house, the entire home is more comfortable without the drafts we had in the past and our furnace rarely kicks on and even the granite in or kitchen is warmer.

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Home Environment Solutions to insulate our home! Our only regret is that we didn’t do it sooner!

Working with Home Environment Solutions was a great experience from beginning to end. Their Sales Rep did a complete home inspection, even going into an attic that hadn't been accessed in 20+ years; I was prepared to buy all the services, but the Sales Rep was knowledgeable and honest and actually deterred me from purchasing things that my home didn't need.

Two crews were sent to work simultaneously (basement demolition/mold remediation and attic insulation removal/new insulation installation), and these guys were so professional, kind, and respectful of my home. They were on time every day, worked hard each day, and left their workspaces in immaculate condition each afternoon. They provided daily details on what had been done that day, what they'd be doing the following day, and what was left in the total project.

The finished work is just amazing! My older house smells new again, I've already noticed a decrease in my energy usage with new insulation, and my basement is completely torn down to studs and ready for brand new refinishing.

We recently purchased an industrial facility that was vacant for
several years.  The office space in the building had many areas of mold

We recently used Home Environment Solutions for a water break at our company. The response time was incredible and the quality of work was impeccable!!! I strongly recommend them!!!!

We had a minor mold issue in our basement, not knowing much about mold & having heard the effects on our health we initially and immediately called in a local team. They came out & charged us over $100.00 for a "consultation". Figuring they had done nothing to resolve our issue and charged that upfront we decided not to hire them on. He & his partner came out, checked out the area and broke it down scientifically for us to better understand. Not only were we not charged for a "consultation" but they told us how we could take care of it ourselves at little to no cost & even provided us with the cleaning solution to kill the mold. Even though we have a newer home (built in 2007) our energy bills were sky high and we were freezing in the winter time. In the summer our air conditioner ran constantly and could hardly keep up. Our friends had Home Environment Solutions insulate their home and said it made a big difference so we gave them a call.

They sent out Russ who asked us a lot of questions about what we were experiencing and what we had hoped to accomplish before he did a full inspection of our home. He found we had typical fiberglass insulation that met code but could be greatly improved. The installation team came out and did our job in three days. Each day they called to let us know they were on their way and at the end of the day they completely cleaned up. The guys they sent were excellent! We were very comfortable with them in our home.

After the job was done we noticed a difference immediately! Our energy bills are HALF of what they were! The air conditioner has no problem keeping up in the summer and our home is warm in the winter!

I'm a project manager for a real estate broker and I've used Home Energy Solutions many times for mold remediation and insulation. We have used them for real estate transactions, apartment and Tennant issues and home flip jobs. They have saved us many times, a few of the mold removal jobs had a substantial amount of mold to the point we thought it might be a total loss. The work they do is excellent!! Not only do they remove the mold they fix the problem that caused it so it doesn't come back.

We purchased a building to put our home office in that was empty for years and filled with mold. They removed all of the mold and when they were finished it was spotless! Clean and dry!

We first noticed mold on all of the rafters and sheathing in our attic about 20 years ago. Not knowing where it was coming from, we put on masks and scrubbed it with bleach. After doing this for a couple of years, we had the roof replaced and all of the sheathing with it The mold started to appear almost immediately. The company who replaced our roof said our attic wasn't insulated enough. We emptied the attic of it's contents and paid a fortune for them to come and blow in new insulation. He gave us a five year warranty on the work, and would come back and replace it if mold showed up ,as long as we didn't go up into the attic and disturb it.
Four years later, while having our kitchen remodeled, we went into the attic and every rafter and sheathing was covered in mold. The company that guaranteed it would not even come out to look at it. We were sick about it and not sure what to do next.
It was at this time that we went to a Home Show and discovered "Home Environment Solutions" Russ came out and looked at our attic and proposed a solution to our problem. It included removal of the old insulation, abating the mold, crack sealing and bring the whole attic up to code, then re-insulating. Naturally, we were very hesitant because of the past contractor and work done. Russ did not pressure us and let us contact him with our decision. We did end up going with Home Environment Solutions in July of 2019, and have not regretted it! Everyone we came in contact with, from the salesman to the owner and the workers were very professional. The workers were polite, clean and caring about our home. My husband went into the attic with them at different times and asked questions. They were very receptive to him. The company always responded promptly to any questions that we had. I needed insulation for my 100 year old cape cod, badly. My heating bills in the winter were astronomical. I spoke with Mark at a remodeling expo, and shortly after, Russ came for a house visit. What I appreciate most is that both of them were honest and upfront with me about everything - the cost, all possible options, and what was most/least necessary to do. They didn't pressure me, and allowed me ask questions, think things through, and come to my own decision. Mark and company did an awesome job. Our upstairs was hot in the summer, even with the air conditioning running. After we had the new insulation put in by Home Environment Solutions, the upstairs was cool and comfortable!

Our attic insulation in our home was very deficient. Home Environment Solutions came in and air sealed the attic and added an additional 12 inches of insulation. During the air sealing process, they discovered cases where our cold air returns were open directly to the attic!! Our upstairs bedrooms were like an oven in the summer and were very cold in the winter. When Home Environment Solutions evaluated the rooms we found that there was no insulation in the walls or the ceilings. During the summer the temperatures were at least ten degrees cooler after they installed the proper insulation. We can now sleep upstairs!

I bought my house a few years ago and now come up with the money to insulate my attic. I looked at companies for weeks on the internet. I got it down to 3 companies, the first one i called for a estimate was late for the appointment so he's crossed off the list, which leaves me with two. Booth companies seemed very knowledgable, but Mike at Home Environment Solutions was able to answer my question a lot better and took time to explain it to me so i was sure I understood.

We had Home Environment Solutions insulate and encapsulate our crawl space. We had condensation on our windows in our home, musty odors and our floors were freezing in the winter. When I went down there I found mold in the rafters and we had to have the exterminator spray twice a year for carpenter ants.
Our sales rep Mark came out and inspected our crawl space and explained exactly what was happening in our home. They first sent Dave and Jeff out to remove the mold and the following week Mike, Craig and Zach came to insulate and encapsulate.
Since completion we have a different home! The humidity is normal, no more musty odors and our floors have been warm all winter! We decided to add an extra layer in the crawl space and now since it's so dry we use it as extra storage.

After developing a mold allergy we were concerned about mold in our basement. Mark came out and inspected the basement and discovered a very small amount of mold. He gave us instructions on how to clean it ourselves and things we should do to prevent it in the future.

Mark used a thermal camera to show us how much heat we were loosing through our recessed lighting due to the cheap insulation the the home builder used. We had the lights sealed, the old insulation removed and new insulation put in. The guys who did the work were prompt and kept me informed of the progress. They cleaned up after themselves. The difference in the house has been amazing so far. Mark also arranged to have our air ducts cleaned. There was a ton of drywall dust from construction that was never cleaned out.

Mark and his crew are very knowledgeable and I felt that Mark really cared about the quality of the air in the house.

The A/C and now the furnace are not running constantly like they were before and the house seems to be maintaining a more constant temperature. I think all the work will really be worth it in the long run.

Mark and his crew were excellent. They came in and assessed my attic area for installation of blown in cellulose insulation. He provided me with a quote immediately and did the job according to the schedule he gave me. The had to do some addition work in the attic before they could blow in the insulation. Then they blew it all in in one day. They were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Since the insulation was installed I've found it's made a great deal of difference. It's comfortable and the AC even shuts off occasionally, which it never did before in the hot weather. Good job fellas!
