Worked with Steve Kaelin in the beginning. He was amazing to work with. The roofers came today and did an amazing job working till dark. They cleaned everything and the roof looks amazing. I have passed their name to all my friends. Wouldn't have anyone else. Will work with Art Kennedy when he comes to inspect.

We hired HKC to install our metal shingle roof. I found they had specialized expertise and experience with this roofing system. Every person we dealt with took a personal interest in our project. The owner made multiple trips to the site to inspect and update us. The craftsmen sent to the site did excellent work and went the extra mile.
Special shout out to Gary, Mike, Pedro, and I wish I had caught the site craftsmen's names.. they worked in bitter cold weather and did great work nonetheless.

Matter of fact, I did reach out to my roofing representative Stephen the day after the roof was started to talk about dissatisfaction with the process. I have the text messages as proof. A month or so goes by and after reaching out to the district manager I received a text from Ed asking me to call him in which I responded asking for all communication to be in writing due to hearsay with the initial contract not being as promised in person, leading to the second contract. No written communication was received afterwards. 7 months later, The issues stemmed from HKC have been fixed via another company, I am still storing supplies that were left by HKC and no written communication has been received. There was an additional email with pictures sent by me to note additional damage done during install after I had a contractor come review the mess including but not limited to, sideways shingles and shingles falling off, damaged vinyl from roofers carelessness, the hvac vent being shifted upon roof scraping requiring more work from a different company to fix my now CO2 leak inside the house putting my family in danger, water leak in the attic requiring drywall repair to ceiling, just to name a few. 0 stars, will involve attorney if needed

Do not recommend! Ongoing issues with the roof install, holes in my vinyl siding from installers dropping equipment from the roof, paint splatter everywhere that was not properly cleaned and did not come off with pressure washing, b vent knocked loose during install causing carbon monoxide to leak into my home and a hefty bill to have my furnace moved to fix the problem, materials and roofing nails left scattered in drive way and throughout yard causing a flat tire, sideways shingles due to laziness of installers and terrible, terrible communication from the company. I reached out with my complaints immediately after install and again 6 weeks ago with pictures of the issues which was cc’d to the QC manager and sales manager and have yet to receive any response from anyone. I thought they were a reputable company and did my research before hiring them but apparently they have changed owners recently and the company has gone down hill since!

Couldn’t be more pleased with this contractor! HKC has proved itself in 2 separate projects to be the most professional outfit out there. They worked up front with our insurance company on site at the time of estimate for siding replacement following storm event and provided clearly, well written documentation the same day before leaving our site. Amazing! Years ago they also installed a new metal roof for us on another home with the same personalized and efficient care. Whether you need a roof or siding installed, you can’t go wrong with the crew at HKC!

The only complaint I have is that we weren't notified that the installers would be there before they arrived to do the work. Thankfully, we were home. Other than that. They were efficient and did a good job. Our new gutters are a major improvement over the old ones.

Would not recommend. Left paint stains on my driveway, ruined the gutter guards they should have removed when replacing instead pulled them back. HKC used multiple old pieces of material when new material was charged. They left cigarette packs and beer cans in my yard as well as a huge amount of mess nails, shingles, everything boards with nails sticking straight up. They brought cushions and slept in the yard while working which I did not mind if they needed a break but I am certain this crew had never put a roof on before they even left pieces on top of the roof that later blew off. When picking out the color of shingle I asked for a sample I was told they do not have samples. I asked for close to black when the roof was applied it is a blue green hue I was told I should have asked for a sample. I have used bone dry roofing before and no issue at all I should have used them again but was recommended HKC as someone knew the father who owned the company however since changing hands to the son it is clearly not run the same. I have tried multiple times to contact Justin with no response and the business does not respond. Also there were no tarps put down to protect by deck. Tossing the old roof off made holes in my deck and knocked off pieces of the deck posts. They also knocked off the satellite dish. No one came out to inspect that the job was completed because there is no way a supervisor would have left the completed job this way.

I chose to use HKC after my first choice for a roofing company switched to high pressure sales techniques.
My insurance company had already approved the roof replacement due to hail damage and I had already had another roofing company provide an estimate before I chose HKC. When their salesman (David) came out he did not even bother to go on the roof and look. He actually suggested that I didn’t even need the roof replaced. His most proficient attribute was the use of four letter words. I found this extremely unprofessional but looked by it and signed the contract for HKC to do the work.
Several days later I got a phone call from Justin at HKC to schedule the work. Justin was polite, answered my questions, and a date was set. I travel for my work as I oversee the operations of six maintenance facilities in three different states. The week prior to the roof replacement I was out of town. A truck showed up to deliver the supplies. Turns out HKC had sent a letter to the house about this… which I did not know about because I was out of town for work.
Let’s jump to install day. Had no idea what time the workers were going to show up (I had to call all three days and ask when they were coming) I called the HKC office and spoke with Justin. He stated they had to finish up another job due to rain the previous week. Fine…. But when the workers showed up their “leader” (really not sure who he was since he left) stated they were late because one of their crew had to take a child to the hospital.
HKC sub contracts workers… the workers that arrived did not speak English. Also, HKC tells you not to talk to the workers… to call the company. Well, the salesman phone was going straight to voicemail. And when calling the office you normally have to leave a voicemail and wait for a call back.
Three days to do my roof. Outrageous…. The crew also punctured my pool… and did not tell me. I found out about it when I stepped outside and heard the pump screaming from running dry. They just put some painters tape over the hole and called it good. The workers camped out in my grass in the front yard. Absolutely no respect for my lawn. They had wrestling matches during their breaks. They spilled sodas on my sidewalk and didn’t clean it up. They threw three brand new bundles of shingles from my roof into their garbage trailer. When I asked Justin and David about this I was told they would go back to a distributor. Ok… so take them off my invoice! No… they were factored in as waste… they are waste now because they broke from the fall from my roof.
Let’s go back to the pool…. When I brought this up to Justin he said he had to get with the owner. A few days later he calls back and offers to send a technician out to check out the pump and patch the pool. Uh… no. I had an undamaged pool prior to the work being done… I should have an I damaged pool afterward. I don’t have an expensive pool… it’s only $1000. To make this even funnier… David (the salesman) called the week after I received the final invoice to see if I had received it and if I could pay it. Unknown to him I had already mailed full payment. I told him about the problems and the pool. He said they should not have damaged the pool. I told him I didn’t think the companies offer was right to patch the pool. He told me I should fight it! Here is a company employee agreeing that the company is wrong!!!!!!
No one from the company ever came to make sure the install was done correctly. No one from the company ever came to make sure the workers were actually working and not hanging out in the front yard for hours. There is no communication between the install crew and the customer. And their cleanup left a lot to be desired….
I have cameras on my house with video evidence to back up everything. I have the photos that I have taken to back up everything. HKC has shown zero accountability or care for customer satisfaction.
After my experience with HKC I would never recommend them for replacing a roof. If you choose them… good luck.

Had a great experience with a repair a few years back, it was a no brainer when I made the call for my new roof. We changed the color and we couldn’t be happier with it. They are very professional and it only took one day for our little house to be covered. There’s a comfort having the warranty and they are just a phone call away. Extremely Happy!!!

Working with HKC is seamless. From start to finish they were extremely responsive and very professional. Our new roof looks great and I cannot imagine ever using anyone ever than HKC.

Awesome roofers nice courteous did great job fixed leak and hail damage from storm from last year about November, even put on drip edge and ridge vents that were needed and up to builders code that previous roofer didn’t even put on just awesome.

HKC did an exceptional job replacing a steel roof and vinal siding with all aluminum trimmed windows and doors from a hail damage claim on my home and garage. The crew worked tirelessly and truly displayed their skills in securing difficult places especially where electric boxes, pipes, and electric lines appear to create a very neat appearance. The lead foremen insured that all my expectations were fulfilled. The company representative worked well with the insurance commission as well as with the insurance company to secure full replacement.

HKC Roofing fast, professional, and did high quality work. They were super easy to work with and very friendly. Highly recommend them for all your roofing needs!

HKC did a great job installing our new roof. A Special Thank You to Gary Ferrigno for helping me fight the insurance company. We had hail damage. Gary sent photos to them and had to resend them later, because the insurance company kept on lying. He went way out of his way to help me.

HKC Roofing was fantastic. Got to our home about 7:00 am, with the dumpster.Layed tarps around our whole house. Started the tear off. Had to lay some new wood on the roof. There were about 8 guys. Completely cleaned up everything even sweeping the porch and walkways. Was leaving that same day about 4ishpm. Would recommend them to all our family and friends. Thanks HKC !!!

I recently had my roof replaced. This is a professional and top notch company. They hire knowledgeable and hard working employees. David Cooper was my estimator who was honest, gave us proper advise on what was needed to replace our roof and did not try to sale me something that was not needed. The clean up of the old roof materials was spot on. The opinions of their clients hold high value. PEOPLE go get your roofs replaced with this company. you will not be disappointed.

This is my second time using HKC Roofing and Construction. If I would have allowed them to do my whole roof the first time, I would not have needed them the second time. They have always been friendly, fair and have given great quality of work.

HKC, from estimate to completion, they did a great job on my roof replacement. Job was completed in one day. The crew cleaned up and worked till dark. I’m pleased.

Called on a Wednesday and someone promptly came out to do a quote on Friday. The gentleman told me HKC could do all of the work and I'd have a copy of the quote by the following Tuesday. That was three weeks ago!! I have called and left multiple messages for the Project Specialist and on the office line. Neither has returned my call. Guess it's better to find out now that they don't honor commitments (time or general) than it is to find out after already scheduling them to do the job. As Mya Angelou is credited with stating, when a person (or in this case a company) shows you who they are, believe them the first time.

Hkc did a wonderful job on our roof. Finished it and cleaned up in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend HKC.

Great work but clean up was sloppy. The roof was great I ended up with 2 flat tires on my truck one in sidewall cost 1200 to replace my tires

I simply cannot say enough great things about this company. They worked relentlessly with my insurance company and stayed the course despite massive push-back. I am so grateful to have employed a company that treated my roof like their own. Their communication was outstanding, and their work was timely, thorough, clean, and concise. I would recommend this company to anyone, it's no wonder why they have the business of half my neighborhood. If you need a new roof, look no further, these guys are the best.

HKC Roofing is top notch!!! They installed a beautiful roof on my house and my garage. Excellent work! They made the process easy. They did both roofs in one day. When they left, everything was cleaned up and you wouldn’t have even known they were there.They even had a man come back a few days later to inspect the work done and ask if I had any questions or concerns. This is the second time I’ve used HKC. They will alway be my go to when it comes to roofing. Awesome!!

They replaced our roof in a timely manner, had everything cleaned up and roof looks awesome! After a week or two, it developed a sag in one place, they just completed the repair and looks like it was never repaired, awesome job! Highly recommend them!

HKC Roofing replaced the roof on one of my properties a few years ago and did a great job so when my new property had a leak I called them and they came came inspected the roof and came back out and fixed it, after several more wind and rain storms no leak. If you want a new roof or need a leak fixed HKC is the company to call. Highly recommend them.

Scheduled an estimate and got a date/time nearly a month later to meet with a rep. Stayed home from work and talked to the rep that morning who gave me an ETA. They never showed up, never called to reschedule, never called to apologize. Contractors are all undoubtedly busy and can't take every job, but HKC really wasted my time.

I had a new roof installed on 4/13/2023. I had wind damage and the roof was was 24 years old. Right from the start with sales manager Blaine Galle I saw this company was different over the others I had to come out to look at the roof. No high pressure sales with HKC and Blaine. He listened to me first and was not trying to up sell me at all. The rood installers were first class and did a great job and did it in one day. I am very happy with the end result and am also happy they are local and have been around for awhile. I would recommend them to anyone with roof issues..They are honest and upfront..I am glad I chose HKC roofing...

Worked with us and insurance to make sure everything went smoothly. Was proactive in tarping to limit damage. Cleaned up debris and communicated during entire process.
Months later, during a week of storms, responded immediately when we noticed a shingle on our driveway. Sent out a crew the next day for repairs.

I had my roof installed in May of 2020. Little did I know I made a terrible decision on a roofing contractor. The roofing itself was fine, but they failed to clean up properly. Found numerous items that would puncture tires in the driveway. That's not counting what they left in the yard. My front gutter was damaged too, but I was able to live with that. The main problem came from them crushing the vent cap in the roof that vents my water heater and furnace. Didn't realize the problem at first. After a few years of water heater and HVAC issues, we were able to determine that the cap on the vent was crushed down. Once we pulled the cap back up, all is well. It's very clear that the cap was crushed down when they finished the job in May of 2020, because they painted the vent pipe as the last thing before they left. Amazingly enough, when we pulled the cap up, you can clearly see the paint line and now I have about 2-3 inches of vent pipe not painted... Because the cap was covering it. HKC came out and looked at it, but I never heard another word from them. I had photos of my old water heater that very clearly overheated and even the damage to my new water heater (we didn't realize the issue when the new water heater was installed). Also have photos of the vent pipe AFTER we pulled the cap up that clearly shows the paint line, but nothing from HKC on accepting responsibility. I didn't ask for money, but I never even got a sorry from them. Terrible customer service. Please stay away and use the next company.

HKC Roofing is a true Jem. They have High Standards, Honesty and most important they want to be sure as there customer you are 100% satisfied with the job they have done and this is a rarity. It is refreshing to do business with a company with morals and who does what is right. I will only call HKC Roofing in the future no one else and I will highly recommend them to family and friends. If you have a job, they can do call them and you will have a customer for life like me.

I had my roof completely replaced in late July & had to pick up an entire 55 gallon trash bin full of trash that was left after the roof crew supposedly cleaned up. I'm so thankful that I had decided to drive my truck to work on the day before the scheduled product dropoff... because my car was covered by any and everything that could be found on a roof to include dents & scratches. I'd absolutely not recommend HKC if you have anything especially landscaping around your house.

So Blain came out to give me an estimate for some roof damage, siding, soffit, and gutters. He looked around took down some sizes and had me send my insurance estimate which I thought was weird. I asked him how long it would take to receive an estimate back and he told me 2 days. A week passed I wrote him and no response. I guess my business was not important to them.

Blaine was very detailed about his company's products . No shortcuts, straight up pricing and very professional in his presentation.

We are so unbelievably happy with the work and service provided by HKC! They recently replaced our entire roof after storm damage and we are so pleased with the result. They were professional and very responsive from start to finish. And patient with my plethora of questions and request to do everything contactless since we are high risk. Our roof looks wonderful and they had it finished so quickly. We have told everyone about HKC and will continue to use them for all future roofing needs! Thank you, HKC!

Brian Miller came out to my moms house to inspect her roof yesterday and within 10 minutes found my leak, caulked it, and found several other places where squirrels had eaten away at the shingles and caulked all those as well. In addition, he showed me pictures of everything he saw and did. On top of everything... FOR FREE?!?! Absolutely will call this company with every roof issue from here on out.

My husband called HKC simply because of the TV ads we had seen. Although we were over an hour away, they entertained a visit. My husband is very hard to please and he was impressed from the moment he met Blaine initially. The company delivered the supplies to our driveway two days before the work was to begin. Our 2000 Sq foot house needed a new roof. Start to finish in roughly 6 hours, it had been replaced. The crew were many and all were professional. Our yard was scattered with tools and ladders and they were laser focused. At the end of the day the crew left our yard just as they had found it and I watched them from the windows with magnets, picking up nails/screws. Fantastic experience!

No Pressure sales associate, Hard working crew worked in morning freezing temperature and was extremely clean when they finished replacing roof.

Had an issue with poor quality on my mothers roof come to find out the rafters were just scabbed together using old lumber.. took a couple years then the roof started bowing in and almost fell down. Then they came out to replace the problem. So come to find out they just scabbed another board to the mess.. so it held about 2 weeks now I have a huge hole in the living room and the ceiling is about to fall in again. Do not use this company!

Blaine from HKC was charming, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I had several roof issues that previous companies wrongly diagnosed. Blaine was quick in spotting the problems and fixing my roof. He probably would've been done sooner had I not kept getting lost in his eyes ; )

A few years ago HKC replaced the wood and roof on my house and installed roof vents. They also blew in insulation in the attic. Fantastic work. I also had a garage and out building that needed new shingles and gutters. HKC gave me a great estimate on that work. I accepted and two days later the crew was here and working hard. A few months later we had a storm and a tree branch fell onto the out building and punched a hole in the roof. HKC came out and fixed it. No problem.
A few weeks ago I had HKC to give me an estimate on roll roofing on my leaky metal porch overhang. I accepted and they came out the next week and installed it. No more leaks.
The bottom line is HKC is the only roofing company I will have on my property. The office and work crew are very professional, reliable and dependable. I will always recommend HKC. Thank you guys.

Great Job! I have used HKC for a few years now to repair roofs on 2 different houses. Last week they put a new roof on my current house. They came early and worked through 90 weather. Finished the job in 2 days, including re-doing my vent system to allow the attic to better cool the house. The cleanup was quick. Rain came the next day and no leaks!

Outstanding job. The crew arrived early and completed roof in one day. They did an excellent job cleaning up all debris and roof looks outstanding . The Management team made the process totally stress free.

HKC Roofing is the best. They show up on a timely basis and do necessary repairs quickly. They have replaced a portion of my roof and a sky light as well as installation of gutter guards along with some wind damage repairs and I have been very happy with their work in every instance. It is hard to find a reliable and responsive contractor and HKC is proven to me that they can be trusted.

Very impressed with the customer service of thsi company. Dave came to the house several times and gave us estimates. He was very knowledgable and explained everything so we could understand. He answered any questions that wevhad. We were unable to replace the entire roof. He gave a couple of options for repairs. The guys that did the work, didnt even know they were there except for the new shingles. Would recommend them to anyone in need of roofing work.

This is a professional company all the way. From the estimate to installation they were on time and efficient. We will use them again if the need arises.

The sales representative Steve Kaelin is very friendly and very knowledgeable about roof replacement. His explaination of ventilation and deck-air vents providing air flow with turbines on back of house to prolong life of roof and keeping attic cooler. Also explained why upgrading to the impact resistance shingles would handle wind and hail limiting damage. Northgate max def moire black shingles were installed as shown in the photo. The team of roofers came very early and were completed and gone by 1pm. Worked efficiently and completed roof in less than 8 hours. Very impressed over all. I would recommend HKC for replacing your roof.
