Hixon Roofing responded to my home following a microburst which caused significant damage to my roof. There were tree limbs all over the roof and one went through into a guest room and another into my kitchen, another destroyed my front porch. Hixon people were on the scene very quickly, put up tarping and within a short time were making repairs to the beams and overall structure and supplied a beautiful new roof and porch. Every person who worked on my home was polite, caring and very skilled. The supervisors provided lots of information, encouragement and support. One was especially outstanding in dealing with difficult insurance issues. The entire team was concerned for my benefit and provided the best experience of any company I have ever engaged for work!

The team did a good job. Initially they had to deal with staffing shortages due to the hurricane in the upstate. Then, the weather was too cold for the work they were going to do, and finally the snow. But they stayed in touch every step of they way until everythig lined up. Their work uncovered other damage that we were able to work into the schedule. Kudos to the crew who were very careful with our property and did an outstanding job, followed by a first class clean-up effort.

We had a roof leak from Tropical Storm Debby. From the time we called Hixon Roofing they were out within 2 hours to tarp the roof, which was when the wind had finally subsided. Trent Yates was outstanding providing a fast and fair quote for leak area plus repairing other areas of the roof that needed attention. I am impressed with the professional way that the crew replaced the shingles. They were very conscious of how the old shingles were removed, and the new ones installed. Care was taken to ensure the roof membrane was tucked under the flashing on the side wall, and that the new flashing was also carefully installed. Everything was done with care, including the clean up. I highly recommend Hixson.

Hixon's Roofing did a great job replacing my entire roof. I stopped by their tent at Third Thursday in Summerville and set up an appointment for Trent to come out and take a look at my 20 year old roof that had some storm damage. Trent was very knowledgeable and helpful. From start to finish he made the process stress free. My new roof is beautiful!

We had a tree through out roof and Trent with Hixson's out right away and put the emergency tarp on our roof so our interior would not get damaged. We really appreciate their excellence!

Bryan Reyes and his crew are awesome. When Bryan came out to quote my job I had another quote scheduled for the next day, however I was so impressed with him I cancelled that other quote and signed a contract for work to be done. The crew showed up on time, covered everything around the house even my pool! They worked hard and finished the job in one day. They left the house as clean as when they got here. My roof looks awesome and I'm glad I called Hixons Roofing, and the price was great! Please ask for Bryan when you call them!!!

We were in need to a new roof. I had called several companies to come out and give us an estimate. Joey from hixons came out. ( He was actually the first to come out,) after side by side comparisons for quality of product, warranty, and price, we decided to go with hixons. They were professional, did a great job, cleaned up and was done in a day. The price was significantly less than some of the other roofers and after checking products side by side, they offer the same stuff and the same warranty. We are extremely happy with the finished product. Again if y'all need a roof replaced sooner or later I would ask for Joey, great guy, more than fair on pricing, open communication (which I appreciate because I'm sure I blew his phone up) and the quality of workmanship we received we were very happy with. I am very impressed with the manner in which Jeremy Stevens and the folks at Hixon's do business. Jeremy was always very professional and the whole crew adjusted as my project was first sped up then delayed due to other subs and the weather. They did a fantastic job on my roof and will definitely use them for my next project.

Very smooth transaction. Everyone was courteous, the job was expedited, they had a team of 12 ppl working from 7 AM to 7:30 PM. We were extremely happy with the job!

The crew did a great job putting on our new roof, & cleaning up afterwards. We’ve gotten a lot of compliments from our neighbors.

Had them replace my roof. Caught the installers not removing all the old underlament and not blowing down the roof. They were putting new underlament right over old underlament, loose roofing nails and pieces of old shingles. Then had to get them to reinstall several ridge shingles the next day. They also used a roofing tar remover on my vinyl siding in several areas to remove the roofing tar they had let get on there. It discolored my siding in those areas. Have been trying to get them to come fix a roofing nail they did not fully nail in for the last 4 months. They have not come yet. I would never use them again.

Started on the wrong day, not a lot of transparency from the rep about the scope of work. Cleanup was average, I picked up trash and about 100 nails. They tore new siding off my house and couldn’t figure out how to reattach it the correct way. The supervisor response was great and it seemed like they wanted to fix the issue but didn’t at the end of the day. If you want average work done for an alright price, this is your company.

We had a minor roof repair that needed to be done to our short term rental when we had guests in the home. Hixon/Joey’s crew were great with getting out there right away and fixing the issue before the next random summer thunder storm came through. We appreciate them working around our guests timeline and making sure it was done quickly and reasonably. We would definitely use them again.

I think most of the 5 stars yall got is from either friends or family because in no ways can someone that you have actually been a client of you will leave any better review other than 1.
They did my roof back in 2021,due to damage from Hurricane Zeta.
I have never have the time to go to the house since I am active duty military station away from Gulfport.
I decided to sell the house and the prospective buyer decided to have the home inspected and after the inspections there were lot of issues with the roof due to improper installation.
Even though, I have "10 years labor warranty " but they denied me of the "warranty" Now , I am stuck with the repairs because I don't have time to go to court with them.

The crew arrived and got to work 6 hours later they were done and gone. Excellent work very happy with it.

Had four companies come out for quotes for a insurance claim and hands down Hixson was the best. Sergio did a awesome job off getting together what we needed and explaining everything.

I really didn't want to leave a 1-star review but I feel I have no choice, sadly. This rating is mostly due to the quality of the work. The guys who came to my house were all personable and professional and I enjoyed working with them at the time, but I later found evidence of poor workmanship and many issues that, I hate to say, really ruined my experience with Hixon's. They replaced a flat roof (including the vapor control layer) on an old house we recently bought, and they also repaired flashing, pipe boots, soffit boards, and a few other spots for us. The repair work initially looked fine but I later discovered BIG problems. While part of the work looks good, a lot of the other repairs weren't sufficient and were sloppily done.
I was also told everything was ok with the roof when it wasn't. For example, sometime before we owned the house, some metal flashing had rusted through and water had been slowly leaking onto the roof decking and behind fascia, leading to tons of mold and wood rot that we couldn't see because this is a flat roof with no attic space (and the previous owners had covered up any evidence of leaks). I had previously seen rusty spots and asked if I could pay to get them replaced as part of the work and fix any related problems, but I was told (1) it wasn't necessary and (2) if they saw any issues, we could add it to the quote. On the day of the work I asked about this again and I was assured everything looked great. Unfortunately, I later found the rusted hole in the drip edge + flashing, fascia boards that were completely rotten, and also a HUGE area of moldy roof decking that was definitely there during Hixon's work. So not only did Hixon's not tell me about the hole in the drip edge which they must have seen since they installed a roof shingle 2 inches away, but they essentially put a new flat roof on top of crumbling and moldy roof decking! What a mess! I'm upset that I may have been lied to when I asked if they saw any problems and/or water damage when they pulled up the roof to replace the underlayment.

We also have a lot of additional little problems that seem to stem from their work.. a cut through the new roof layers which is definitely manmade, a leaky pipe boot that I had to have them come back to redo, improper caulking, a soffit board that should have been replaced but wasn't, etc. And since they only offer a 30-day warranty, I'm stuck with the bill for the repairs.

I can forgive them for the quick/messy work in many areas since the price was affordable and they were working in extremely difficult conditions, but if a roof leaks then the job wasn't done right. And, I worry that they weren't honest with me when they neglected to tell me about problems I asked about. I would have paid for the additional work and I made that clear to them, but none of these issues were communicated to me at the time. I was initially a little wary about going with Hixon's due to their 30-day warranty, which I felt was odd next to the lifetime warranty that many other companies offer, and I should have listened to my gut feeling - I regret using Hixon's services. Sorry, but it's true.

tl;dr: Don't use Hixon's. They're really nice guys but if something goes wrong during the job, you won't find out about it until it's too late and it'll cost you a ton of money to fix.

We are SO thankful for Hixon's Roofing Company! After trying for months to get our "Hurricane Hugo roof" replaced with a different company, we finally found Hixon's. Sergio, the sales representative, is knowledgeable about everything that has to do with roofing. He is kind, understanding, helpful, and honest. He put everything into words that we could understand. Steve, the project manager, was informative and accessible. Javier and his crew worked extremely hard to get our roof done in excellent time. They also had to do quite a bit of wood repairs. They cleaned everything up immaculately. We are so blessed to have found and used this company to replace our roof. Everything was explained to us in detail, and everything was done as promised. We highly recommend these folks! We are absolutely, totally impressed! Thank you to all at Hixon's Roofing for our brand new roof! We love it!!!

Sergio and the entire Hixon team went above and beyond. My insurance company dragged their feet causing the process to take much longer than it should have but Sergio never waivered in his professionalism or commitment to getting the job done correctly. I highly recommend calling them!

As general contractors we frequently use subcontractors for parts of projects where specialists are needed. Joey Kolbet with Hixon Roofing came to one of my projects, sent me a quote in a few days and when I knew we would likely get the job Joey and his boss came back to the job to do a physical measurement of the project. I am very happy with the price and will be using him on this project when the time is right.

From the very beginning Sergio was wonderful. He walked us thru the entire process from getting the roof inspected by the appraiser to cleaning up the yard after the work was complete. The entire Hixson crew was friendly , knowledgeable and very professional. The completed roof looks great and as a former roofer I know it was done correctly.
Based on our experience I believe Sergio Mendes to be the company’s greatest asset.

This company did an Amazing job on my roof. The follow through on finishing the paperwork with the insurance company was less than satisfactory.

I was referred to Hixon Roofing for a home I had purchased, by my Realtor. Their pricing was great and their service was above and beyond my expectations. They did everything I expected of them and more. They even put all of my outside Christmas decorations back where they belonged when they were finished.
I have referred them to a couple of my friends recently and they too received great pricing and service. I give Hixon my highest 5 Star Rating.
