The remodel of our kitchen by Hemstedt is very satisfactory. They are very easy to work with and very professional. We are pleased with their work and would recommend others to choose them also. Kermit has had lots of experience and is a focused worker. They didn't quit until we were pleased. Very trustworthy. Would use them again.

Himstedt Improvements did an amazing job with several different project. This including rehabing and painting the exterior of several building, along with other remodeling. The attention to detail and their prep work is immaculate We couldn't be happier with the quality of the finished project.

Very professional! Kris Himstedt ensured personal attention to my flooring project, checking in several times on my two day project. I knew in advance what to expect in terms of labor and costs; home improvement is no time for mystery. I had a very tight timeline and, thanks to an unexpected opening, he was able to send two employees my way for two days.

Michael and Zach have been with the company for years. They were courteous and friendly. Generally I DIY my home improvements, but with my schedule it was best to trust these professionals; I couldn't be happier with the results. I was able to contribute (the project was in progress before the hire) but I was also able to leave them to it and be confident that the job was not only getting done, but done better than I could do it myself and in a third of the time.

My floors look great! My wife is so happy that our house is ready to host a party and no one had to stay up for a week of midnights to do it. Well done! Ten out of ten.

I had a fire on Nov 5, 2023. Himstedt is located on the same street as my house less than 2 miles away. I called them, I visited them left the insurance estimate and asked them to rebuild my house. I left 3 phone messages never returned. I would NEVER recommend this company. It is June 6, 2024 and I have selected a Professional company to do the work. Stay far away. Horrible company! Deserve no stars! but had to give them 1 to leave this review warning!

The Himstedt team came out to make repairs to our privacy fence. Kris and Melissa were excellent at communication leading up to the work and after. The team onsite did a great job. They worked quickly and were respectful of the time they were working outside of my home office window. I've tried several contractors over the last year or so and failure to communicate has been a huge issue. Right away I found that the Himstedt team was going to be different. Melissa responded to my initial email within hours and continues to be incredibly timely in her replies. Kris called within an hour of the work being completed to make sure I was satisfied. I was so please with our experience, that we've already made contact with them to work on a shower replacement project.

Kris and his crew showed up, got the job done and cleaned up before I even got home from work. They installed a second story sliding door for my balcony, the previous French door having sustained storm damage. I was really impressed with their problem solving to get the new door to the second floor. There was no residual damage and everything is better than the original. Hoping to only have my home improvements performed by this team.

We contracted Himstedt Improvements to accomplish upgrade and appearance work to our home prior to selling the property. It made a very good change to the presentation of the home for showing and took care of a lot of repairs/remodeling that I had let go over the years.

I highly recommend Himstedt Improvements! We used them for outside structural repairs, drywall repair, and inside & outside painting. The entire crew is talented and professional. They communicate incredibly well and most importantly each job exceeded our expectations! My wife and I recommend them to our friends and family.

We love everything about our 'bathroom refresh"...new paint, toilet, mirrors, lights, floor. The project was assessed, discussed in detail, recommendations made, explanations provided and then fulfilled in a timely manner. Staff was professional, friendly, courteous, honest and prompt! They built a roof over our deck. It looks awesome. They did everything they said they would. the workers told us what time they would arrive and they were always there at on time. They cleaned up the work site every day. It looks great.

Himstedt Improvements provides quality work with professionalism. We decided to hire Himstedt Improvements to paint our kitchen cabinets as part of the remodeling process. We hired other contractors to do additional work. Himstedt did a great job with painting the cabinets and also with working with the other contractors, especially as schedules got a little dicy at times. They were easy to work with and always polite. They were also dependable and showed up when they said they would! That has not always been our experience with other contractors. Additionally they were CLEAN, always picking up after a day's work and working neatly so as not to blemish a wall or the floor for example.
We were very satisfied with the end result and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for quality craftsmanship.

I had a water heater leak damage that effected two rooms, kitchen and utility rooms, the cabinets and flooring had to be removed and the flooring replaced. All of the workers were courteous, knowledgeable and a joy to have in my home. Highly recommend Himstedt Improvements!

We used Himstedt Improvements following a flood in our home. Kris and the guys responded and did a fantastic job with mitigation and the repair and replacement of molding and drywall that had been damaged. Can’t say enough good things about them. Will definitely use them again.

We were out of our home for 8 The months, looking for a contractor to finish a water damage claim. The Himstedt team was very helpful, professional and took pics along the way of what they were doing before they started just to confirm the work. Spotted some imperfections in the vanity top e purchased and took it back to the store for replacement for us. They were quick with the job and we are back in our home in a little over a week; extremely happy with the paint job, very clean lines. Himstedt's team also laid the tiles in two bathrooms and set our vanities in both bathrooms. Definitely a company with integrity and character, which sadly is sometimes rare in this business. They are on the top of our list of reliable contractors.

Himstedt Improvements is a small family run business that is personally invested in standing by their work. The attention to detail, communication, quality, and other personalized service beats a big company hands-down. This is our 2nd home improvement project with this company. We recently completed an extensive shower remodel in a small bathroom and the results were stunning. Kris oversees the entire project, and each worker was extremely professional and VERY skilled in their unique disciplines. Sometimes they were so quick and neat that I had to rub my eyes to wonder if they had actually been here. I am going to try to get in line to get another project done here at our home, so YES I would like to work with them again if they will have us!

We had Himstedt Improvements out to paint/stain a sunroom we had recently put onto our house, as well as paint the trim across the entire house, including replacement of old and rotted trim boards. The team was very professional, detail-oriented, and did a great job.

Prior to performing the work, we were kept well-informed on when work would commence. Kris in particular was great to work with - he worked collaboratively with us on design decisions and had some great ideas for future changes we may make. He also did a great job matching paint colors between our siding and the gray color on the new porch.

We weren't expecting to have the whole house painted when we started out, but it was a great experience, and we would definitely call them again whenever we have painting or carpentry needs!
