Regretfully I hired Jack and his entourage for a construction project, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Communication was a persistent issue throughout the duration of the work. Getting clear and timely responses was often difficult, which made it challenging to stay informed about the project's status.
Furthermore, the final cost of the project ended up being significantly higher than the initial estimate. While some variation can be expected, the number and magnitude of the unexpected expenses were considerable and lacked sufficient justification.
Beyond these issues, there were also concerns regarding the work environment on the job site. On multiple occasions, it appeared to me that the contractor may have been drinking while on the job. Additionally, it was frequently observed that the employees seemed to spend more time taking cigarette breaks than actively working, which undoubtedly contributed to the project's slow progress and eventual delays. The initial timeline provided was not adhered to, and the lack of proactive communication regarding these delays was quite frustrating.
Based on my experience I would never recommend their services.
Jack and his crew completely renovated my basement. They turned it from a raw concrete room into a beautiful studio apartment complete with a full bathroom and kitchenette. Everyone who came in was kind and professional, and the whole project took less than a month (including fairly extensive plumbing and electrical work). They worked so hard, and did a fantastic job. I recommend then whole-heartedly, and would absolutely use them again.
