Chris was very professional. He examined the chimney inside and out, explained what needed to be done and answered my questions. I received the estimate right away.

High Chimneys was incredibly fast in scheduling site visit after receiving our call. They have a great estimator, Jose, who got on our roof and was extremely professional. He answered all our questions and has priced out various estimates to fix our 2 chimneys of our old stone house.

Update: I am very pleased with the work High Chimney did. I highly recommend them. They do anything related to mason work, including patios and walkways.

The team came out to do the work was very respectful and professional. They took care to protect my home and left the area clean when they finished. The weather did not cooperative on the day they came out. However, they were careful and able to finish the rebuild of the top of the chimney to the roofline in one day. The bricks are a close match and once the rebuilt section weathers it will look even better than it does now. Zack and the team out a couple of days later to inspect and take off the protective plastic and wood. They let me know they were on their way. Everything looks great.

The team was on time and communicated before they arrived letting me know when they would arrive. The went on the roof and took lots of pictures. They were professional and friendly. Zach explained what was happening with the bricks and mortar. They also explained how they would fix the issue. That it would require a breakdown of the bricks and rebuild. They also explained a temporary fix would only last at most 5 years while to fix it right will last.

Matt and Zach swept my chimney yesterday. They were on time and very pleasant. I will definitely ask for them again.

I would like to commend High’s Chimney Service for their excellent staff who were very professional and courteous in providing service. Chris and Matt exceeded expectations by not only sweeping my chimney but also giving my wood stove a thorough cleaning. They even cleaned the glass!

The technician came out, diagnosed a bad pilot and said they would call us to let us know when the part is in. I have since called them twice to follow up. Today I was told they could get a technician out on March 18--one month later when the weather will not require me to turn on my fireplace. How will I know if the part is working when I won't be using it for months. Worst service. No return calls, no follow up.

Could not be more pleased with my new wood burning fireplace. First off, the Project Manager, Chris, was incredibly transparent and kind. Always available to answer any questions. His team was always on time and finished earlier than their protected finish date. The fireplace was installed in a unique boutique carriage house and i was very nervous about this project ruining the charm but it upgraded the uniqueness. Great job. Look nowhere else.

Supervisor Omar was fabulous and made sure everything was done correctly, was safe, and was easy to use (open and close damper). He took the time to explain things in detail. He went above and beyond, and genuinely wanted to be sure everything was done as best as it could be. He was also very professional, honest, and kind. Ask for Omar and I can almost guarantee you will be pleased. I recommend him without hesitation.

Chris and David were great throughout the process of replacing my Heatilator fireplace and chimney. The invoice was clearly itemized, and Chris and David gave full explanations and options when we needed to troubleshoot and reschedule. David's crew was clean, efficient, and friendly. Great experience with my first big home repair.

Mike did a great job on my gas fireplace clean and service. Communication was great and the gas fireplace looks and works like new.”

Techs did a nice job of protecting the interior space,but could have done a better job of cleanup on the exterior. Concrete on heat pump and landscaping. Would have been nice to have pictures of the top of the chimney to see quality of their work.

Would highly recommend High’s Chimney Service. They have the friendliest and most knowledgeable employees I’ve ever encountered. Customer service is exceptional.

When making the appointment, the person in the phone was rude and did not offer information like what days or times were available or how much different services cost unless I asked about specific days making the process extremely aggravating. Finally a time for an appointment was decided on and the weather forecast predicted a lot of snow on the day of the appointment so before I confirmed the appointment I asked if they were sure they could do that day. They said they rarely cancel due to snow. Later that day I received a confirmation for a time different than what was discussed on the phone and the day of the appointment it snowed and so the appointment was cancelled. They reached out to reschedule for a different day and on that day they arrived looked at my wood stove, took some pictures of the inside, and told me that because it was too old and because it didn't have a liner they would not clean the chimney or inspect the chimney because of liability. I asked if they could install a liner and they told me no and that I should Google the manufacturer and contact them. I asked if they could give me some quotes on how much it would cost to replace the wood stove with a new one and how much it would cost for them to convert it to an open fireplace and they said of course. I asked if they could send me the pictures they took of the inside of the chimney and they said yes. Then they charged me a $75 travel fee and left. This was several days ago and they have yet to send me the pictures they took or the quotes. I would not recommend their services and I would not choose to hire them again as there are several other companies in the area who at the very least know how to have a helpful and productive phone conversation. It honestly didn't seem like they were interested in providing a good customer service at all.

Edit: Just as an example, I called a different company afterwards, they told me upfront the cost of a home visit, they listed days and times that would be available and asked me which days would work. They were friendly on the phone. I appreciate your commitment to improving your timeliness and your communication.

Edit 2: Also in the initial phone call I remember asking for the appointment window to be between 2 and 4 and the confirmation message was sent for an appointment between 8 and 10. It is possible I misremembered. If you are able to share the recording of the phone call with me and I am wrong, I am happy to remove that complaint from my review.

Punctual, knowledgeable, easy to work with, and they cleaned up after the job was complete. Overall VERY good experience and will be our chimney company moving forward. Highly recommend!

High’s Chimney Service was amazing!! The person that did the estimate and evaluation was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He walked me through everything he saw and was very informative. Made me feel confident in picking High’s to do the final work. The team that came in (scheduled and completed 2 days after estimate was done!!) was amazing. They got right to work and were so efficient and clean. Before I knew it, the work was finished and not a thing out of place or dust in my living room. Would HIGHLY recommend them to everyone!

I think you already have all the photos before and after the work done on our chimney. No leaks and it's been raining, so that is great news! Chris and his partner were here again this year. They were quick professional and courteous. They did the right things right and I am glad to use Highs Service over 11 years now.

UPDATE: I called Angel as you indicated 9 months ago. He said he would look into my case and get back to me. Is he ever going to call me back???
ORIGINAL POST: Had my chimney cleaned. The technician's vacuum wasn't working, and after cleaning the chimney there wasn't a square inch of horizontal space in my family room that didn't have ash/soot on it. It took me the better part of a day to clean it up. Also had two fire wall panels replaced. These have a directional (horizontal) pattern. The replacement panels were cut and installed with a vertical pattern which looks really unprofessional next to the two existing panels with the horizontal pattern. Also one panel is cracking already.

We have used High's Chimney Service in the past years, at least 4 times. We don't use our fireplace but have kept the outside of it well maintained and have had the inside cleaned also. We are making improvements on the exterior due to rain and concrete issues in one area, which will definitely correct any issues in the future. Chris K and all their techs are very informative and help us with several options to maintain a longer and lasting fireplace and chimney. Definitely worth the call and keep to a schedule.

Very happy with High's Chimney Service! Responsive, polite, professional. They repaired (rebuilt) our ailing chimney, installed a wood burning clean insert, and replaced a 1970's brick hearth with a very nice piece of slate. And the job was done on time at a very competitive price. Update 2 years later: I continue to be very happy with High's service. Just had our Regency ci2700 fireplace insert serviced after our second season of burning. Chris Kessler and his man Zach were awesome. On time, efficient, clean, friendly, and generally great to deal with.

I am so pleased with the service I receive from this company. The technicians, Chris and Nick couldn’t have been better. Very thorough and professional. Honestly, they never disappoint. I rarely recommend companies because, unfortunately that’s the time something seems to go wrong.
