I recently had Hemlock Contracting renovate my backyard patio. The reason we did this renovation is so we can host for gatherings at home. Very pleased with the results. It’s transformed my outdoor space. Feels like my entire house got a facelift. I’d definitely recommend Hemlock.

We had our deck demolished and rebuild with trex deck by hemlock contracting this past April and I could not be happier. From the start they responded within hours about my request for a quote and were out the next day looking at my deck. We ended up going with them not only because they had competitive pricing but working with Nathan was so easy and he is so friendly and you can trust him with your property and to keep the communication open through out the job. Halfway through the job it looked so nice we ended up adding on to the project. I will be recommending them to all my close friends in the area and we plan on using them in all further projects on out property. Thank you guys for your hard work. We love what you have done!

Hemlock has completed two projects for me this year. One of them was a very large three-story deck on a rental property. The deck was completed in the time frame that was quoted, and the workmanship was excellent. They did such a nice job that I also used them to repair and replace some railings and shutters on my primary residence. I would have no problem recommending them for future construction projects.

Had my roof and front deck replaced by Hemlock during the last couple weeks of November. I really struggled with what company to go with. While Hemlock offered the best price, it seemed as though the quote was quick and didn’t take into account nuances with my home. After Teddy reassured me that my concerns would be cared for, I opted to go with Hemlock. Now that the job is completed, I wonder if going with the other roofing company would have been the better choice. I have an old house that required a little extra attention around the edges and I don’t think it got the attention it deserved. A lot of the siding got cut up and quite frankly looked like crap when completed. Rubber was used in a spot that now looks pretty awful. I agreed to pay extra to have it fixed correctly but was told they would try to fix it without creating another project. I’m still not happy with the end result and will likely have to fix it on my own or hire another company. Debris was left in areas around the house. Multiple window screens were damaged. The back deck was scratched up and a huge dent in my grill was the result of falling materials when they were doing the work. When they did the deck they didn’t complete the finishing underneath. He also never sent me the final pictures of the finished job like he said he would do. To their credit - they tried to fix things I had issues with. They repainted the deck blemishes and came back to finish the lattice under the deck (or at least mostly finish) Teddy was fairly responsive and sympathetic to my concerns (even though it seemed like I was just starting to bother them towards the end). They were timely with the work they did, and fairly friendly. I have no doubt in my mind that they are the correct people to call for very run of the mill easy jobs that are straightforward. However, for properties that require a little more attention and have some unique features, I would say you’re better off with a roofing company rather than a contractor like Hemlock. At the end of the day - I wouldn’t tell anyone to not go with Hemlock but I certainly wouldn’t recommend them to friends. I’ll refrain from posting some of the pics that show the end result not being ideal - as the house was not an easy job. I was just hoping I could easily sell my house without the roof being a contentious point of the sale which I don’t think was accomplished. Overall - they did an “ok” job. Though for what I needed, I probably should have gone with the other company.

Hemlock Contracting did an excellent job on a small project in my kitchen. They are on time, on budget and professional. I will continue to use them for both small and larger projects on my house.

Hemlock was great - good construction, willing to work with us on our ideas, adapted to some difficulties with the project. They came right in the middle of or quotes for the project and provided a very solid build. They removed our stone front entryway and built a small attached porch that the neighbors say looks like it was always there. Near the end of the project communication had some hiccups and they left some trash behind beyond what was expected. That said, it was still a good experience and I'd recommend them to others. Looking forward to using the porch for years to come. Thanks Hemlock!

I got my quote quickly for my new deck and found the team to be very responsive initially. Everyone seemed really nice. They built deck quickly, in three-four days. But we kept finding issues, boards were cut crooked, lag bolts were completely missing from the support beams, the railings were crooked, and didn’t lineup section to section. And the stairs were pretty sloppy. The railings were crooked, literally add an angle from the top stair down to the bottom stair, and the stepping boards seem like they have more space between them than the flooring boards up above on the deck. All the whiteboards underneath the stepping boards were uneven and sticking out beyond the stepping boards. And a few other issues.

The company was responsive and came back out and fixed almost everything, and they tried to fix the stairs, but they’re still not right.

I have used Hemlock Contracting for various house projects. I am always impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. I would highly recommend them!

Recently had a deck remodeled as an enclosed sun room, the pricing was fair and Teddy went above and beyond to meet and satisfy my every expectation. All his contractors were clean, kind and courteous. Especially his Electrician. Would no doubt refer them to anyone looking for professional a trustworthy contractor.

Waste of time. I requested a quote to build a screened in porch. They scheduled an appointment and came out to take a look, and Teddy said he'd have a quote over later that day. A week went by and I hadn't received anything so I followed up. Kayla told me I would receive a quote that week. Another week went by and nothing. Followed up again with no response. Don't waste your time with this company.
