I can't say enough great things about HD Remodeling and Roofing! After a major storm hit Summerville, I had a serious roof leak that was starting to damage my ceiling and drywall. Jack and his team showed up fast, found the source of the leak, and handled the roof leak repair right away. They even did professional drywall repairs to fix the water damage inside.

Huge, HUGE waste of time. Jack came twice to prepare a proposal to do a relatively big project, said the quote was almost ready and then totally disappeared. No replies to my calls, emails or texts.

Separately, he gave a proposal to my solar installer to repair some minor damage they made, the proposal was approved by the solar and then Jack stopped responding to them as well.

I will take down this review if I figure out there were some special circumstances why Jack ghosted both me and the solar company. But meanwhile I hope he is fine making it a truly bad experience.

We recently had a leak in our ceiling. Jack came out the day after the storm to access and discuss our options and got us on the schedule. We had to change dates due to more rain and Jack was quick with the communication and to reschedule. Would definitely recommend

We had been struggling with a roof leak for over a year. We had many other roofing companies out to assess the issue and none of them could figure it out and several tried to upsell us on a new roof or suggested fixes that they couldn't guarantee would even fix the problem. In fact, we went ahead with a couple of attempts and the leak persisted. Jack was the first person to suggest a water test to try and narrow down the problem area. He had a suspicion what the problem might be and the test confirmed it. But he told us we could get quotes from other companies to fix the problem and we didn't have to go with them for the repairs. We decided to do so as we got such a great vibe from the company. The crew were extremely pleasant to work with. They worked fast and efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. We were very impressed and after raining all day today, we experienced no leak!

My wife and I own several rentals in addition to our primary home. like anyone would expect we have had leaks and issues along the way. Finding an honest roofer that can complete the job was always a challenge. We used several roofers for different jobs always with call back issues or misguidance on what needed to be done. When we found Jack all those issues went away. Jack was the only roofer that did not try and sell us a new roof on our primary home. We have done 4 or so jobs with him now and it is always a pleasure knowing the job is done right. We have worked with a lot of contractors and tradesmen over the years and Jack is by and far among the best, I could not recommend him more to anyone that needs work done right.

HD Remodeling was quick to answer my call and come out to review our issue. What we suspected to be a roof leak turned out to be an issue with the chimney masonry, which they quickly identified, took pictures, and gave us good honest recommendations of how to proceed. While we will need to go with a different provider to fix the chimney, it was a pleasure getting assistance from HD Remodeling to identify the issue. Jack Harbison of HD Remodeling and Roofing has done three different roofing jobs for me in recent years on my house in Jenkintown This included some custom metal work and partial roof replacement. When a minor leak appeared (possibly due to drain blockage from leaves) he returned the following day to add extra sealant -at no additional charge. I value his expertise and he has been a pleasure to work with.

Jack was amazing. We needed a professional to help identify the source of a mystery leak in our house—our roof is practically new, the water had saturated a ceiling that was six feet off the ground, the basement was dry, and the water to the house was off when the leak developed. Jack knew all of this and he still agreed to investigate. He spent three hours inspecting our bathrooms, the kitchen, all of our appliances, the roof, every drain, all of our windows, the plumbing, the flashing, and more. He was thorough, methodical, and extremely honest. I would refer him to a family member without a second thought.

I've used Jack for several projects over the last few years and he's always been extremely responsive and done great work. Several years ago I had been having issues with a leaky roof and called him for an estimate along with several other roofers. While he was up there for an estimate he noticed the scupper box was clogged and pulled the leafs out of there. The other roofers I had reached out to hadn't bothered to do that. I think it speaks to his character that he was willing to take that step that others weren't, and even before we agreed to hire him or gave him a dime. I'm a lifetime customer.

Jack and Team were great to work with from the start. From his initial visit for an estimate I could tell things would be solid all the way through. As I had never dealt with Home Repair through insurance claims - Jack was patient and educational on how things flow. Estimates and payments were clear and upfront, scheduling was easy, and his team got right to work on the day of. He even backed up his work by making sure we wait til after some bad storms to ensure no leaks before completing drywall repairs. All through a measured and well completed body of work.
*Not for nothing - but Jack's vibe is easy to work with. My 2yo hung around and watched his team work - and when I told them they were done and not coming back - we got an "I miss them" with real tears. Take the review of a 2yo - these are a good team to work with!

We have a roof deck on our house, and we were getting terrible leaking in our home for years (actually still are). We worked with Jack at HD Remodeling and Roofing for a couple years, and at first he was awesome! Very responsive, dependable, and decent pricing.

Last year we decided to have our wood roof deck removed and replaced with a "waterproof" material that Jack put down. We hoped that would solve the issue of the leaks in our house. Not only did that NOT solve the issue, but now we have so much water trapped between the "roof" Jack put down, and our home. It is literally like walking on a waterbed. And we continue to get terrible interior damage and leaking when it rains.

When I reached out to him about it, he completely ghosted me. Didn't even have the decency to tell me this job was getting too big for him to handle. So not only did we waste thousands of dollars for this "fix" less than a year ago, now we're stuck with a mess nobody wants to touch. If you're looking for smaller jobs, then I think Jack is great. Don't be surprised if he leaves you high and (not) dry, though.

Did the work they committed to but when it didnt fix my leak they stopped responding to emails and I needed to find a different roofer to solve the problem. Would have been nice if they could have at least told me they were not interested in the job. The work that was done was done well though.

Jack does excellent exterior and interior jobs. He has been in the business a really long time and continues to take pride in all his work !!

I called Jack to ask him if he could come check out my property on 11/12. I noticed there was water stains in the living room ceiling. Jack came promptly on that day at the time we intended to meet. He was quickly able to identify where water was going into the house. There was a hole right by the 2nd floor window where the previous owner had installed a camera security system. Jack quickly caulked the hole and got it sealed so that water could not penetrate it and leak into the home. At the end of all of that, I asked how much I owe him. He told me to not worry about it, but I insisted on at least giving him $20 or so for gas. He didn't even want it. He even gave me a bottle of interior caulk for free so that I can caulk the living room ceiling when it is dry. Awesome service and awesome guy. Can't ask for anything more out of a contractor than to be genuine and honest in their line of business. This is the type of contractor you'd definitely want as your "go-to" person. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
