My house was damaged when a tree came through my kitchen ceiling. I was emotionally traumatized and when the tree company poked a tree through the glass patio doors I felt like that was one thing that was going to break me and lose my composure. My initial thoughts were how I was going to clean that up because glass and water exploded everywhere. The Hays team came in just at that time and said we got you. We're here to help you and they quickly cleaned up everything and asked me to move away so they could take care of the problem. They quickly boarded up the house, and although everything is still sad, they made me feel better. I was impressed how well the team worked together and kept me in the loop on what was happening and when they would be there. I felt both compassion and no judgment as they had to pack up most of my kitchen. Shout out to David Cline and his team of Paul, Joseph and Felipe. Thank you very much for your professionalism and compassion.

After a recent water loss occurred in the middle of the night, it was a great pleasure to work with Hays and Sons for mitigation of the water damage as well as restoration of the floors, walls and vanities. All members of the team were very responsive to our immediate needs, as well as the follow-up restoration. My husband and I have great appreciation for the courtesy and respect extended, by all members of both teams, for ourselves and our home. Hays + Sons did great work restoring the major part of my main floor after water damage (Kitchen/Half Bath/Laundry/Pantry/ LR/DR). Hays + Sons has computer tools that helped them document the work for the insurance company. The adjuster specifically mentioned the ability to download Hays info directly into his system. I took the opportunity to upgrade the kitchen & half bath finishes and repair/refresh other things. Miodrag Dodig was very helpful in planning the work I needed and defining what was possible. The entire work team was skilled and friendly. Mick Eggebrecht's knowledge helped navigate problems that arose during construction job.
Hay + Sons also did the initial salvage work to minimize mold from the original water damage. Travis Evans and David Cline lead that hardworking and friendly team which arrived promptly and were very helpful in removing the damaged materials, storing material to be reset and drying out the floors.
I recommend Hays + Sons for all remediation and restoration work.

We had storm damage on our roof, siding, gutters, and soffit. Hays did a great job working with our insurance company (who fought every inch of the way), the contractors, and myself.

We called Hays and Sons when our sump pumps popped the circuit breaker during a heavy rain and our finished basement flooded. David came out and assessed the situation and also gave us information for our insurance company. We received the okay to clean up the water from our insurance company and Hays and Sons started work the same afternoon. David, Travis, LJ and Trictian moved furniture, pulled up the carpet padding and set numerous fans, dehumidifiers and an air cleaner. They checked the basement every day to be sure it was drying out, then removed all of their equipment. They were all excellent workers, polite, and knew what they were talking about and sent all of the required paperwork quickly to our insurance company.

Chris was awesome. My son lit a fire in our backyard that destroyed our siding. When Chris was assigned the task of restoration, he came through and even had all of our concerns addressed when I was worried about the electric issues. In December we had an insurance claim for water damage. Tristan and LJ came out late in the evening to start the dry out process. They were very professional and extremely helpful every time they were in my home. Travis came out to take photos and explaines the whole repair process and then we met with Mio to go over the estimate. Every one of these men were helpful with answering our questions and speeding up the process to get the work done. Juan came out on a weekend to add some insulation during a cold spell while we waited for repairs to start, we were very grateful. We ran into a few bumps with a subcontractor but Carlos and Juan came out and noticed how badly our floor was installed. Carlos, Juan, and Chris then made sure it was all reordered and redone correctly by them this time! Carlos and Juan ended up doing almost all of the repair work needed and we are very pleased with their work! Chris was our project manager and we enjoyed working with him, especially my toddler! We would recommend anyone who has an unfortunate situation like ours to hire Hays and Sons. They handled our whole project from clean up and dry out to the repairs themselves and made sure it was done right. They also took care of everything with the insurance adjuster so I didn't have to worry about anything. The whole project took about 3 months and we were able to stay in our home.

I am so impressed with the overall services provided by Hays and Sons Complete Restoration. My parent’s house was damaged from a fire on June 1, 2023. My parents hired Hays and Sons to do the demolition, mitigation and reconstruction. All of the Hays & Sons’ personnel were friendly, professional, and sensitive to my parents needs. There was extensive water damage and the Hays and Sons’ staff quickly addressed it by drying out their house to reduce the possibility of mold. Their process for removing all furnishing was clear and concise. All items were tagged and accounted for which supported my parents’ peace of mind. The reconstruction work was done to the specification of my parents and now the house looks brand new!! It is just beautiful. This project was expected to take a year But due to the leadership of the Project Manager MICK EGGEBRECHT, they were able to move back home 4 months earlier than expected!!! Other Hays & Sons staff that must also be thanked for their service and support are ANGELA TUDDY, MIODRAG DODIG, KELLY METZ and TRAVIS EVANS who explained the process so that we could understand it first! It is because of the outstanding services provided by Hays & Sons that my 86 year old mother and 77 year old dad are back in their home!! Thank you Hays & Sons Family!

Everything went well. Construction is excellent. Very satisfied. End of job not so good. It’s been finished about 9 months and we still don’t have electricity to the building and there is still a roll off dumpster here. We have been in contact with the company and were told to contact Nipsco, which we did numerous times and still no response from them or from anyone at Hays and Sons. I was asked to sign off the project and said I would once it was finished, it is not finished until we have electricity to the building and the dumpster is removed.

Dave Valerius (General Manager) and Hays & Sons do excellent work. We had a roof leak at my law office, and they resurfaced and sealed the entire roof making it completely waterproof and repaired all the water damage inside making everything like new. When I had a water leak at home due to a faulty fridge, I called Dave again and he and his crew replaced our wood flooring to like new condition and even helped us by refitting the wood trim to accommodate our new refrigerator. Very courteous, timely, and professional. I recommend Hays & Sons highly.

My lower level of my home flooded from a sewer back up during a storm, and my insurance company gave me two choices for the clean up and removal of the contaminated walls,carpets,furniture,etc.
One being Hays and Sons and I can honestly say that they did an amazing job. They came out with in 12 hours with a team and secured the area as it was toxic from sewer waste. All the men were courteous and explained everything that they needed to do. They followed up with me several times following their service visit to make sure that everything was okay. I would give them 10 Stars if Google allowed.

Both times I have had Hayes And son, come and work on my house, they have been excellent. They are very easy to work with. I believe they go out of their way to make sure everything is done well. I pray nothing ever happens to my house again, but if it does, I would definitely call them again.

Storm took out power and trees. Most roads were closed due to trees and power lines down. Hays & Sons showed up at my house same day of the storm. They were able to remove the tree and fencing material that was on my house and AC unit within a few hours. Cover and check roof and exterior walls for leaks and damages, Check AC unit and electrical system for damage. With my elderly Aunt living with me on oxygen , Nipsco needed to be informed that the electrical was not damaged in the house for her oxygen use in the house. Hays & Sons was very professional and concerned to make sure the house was safe for her . Return next day to check AC unit and schedule all repairs. Thank you for your help and professional response.

Our basement flooded and Hays and Sons did an exceptionally great job in restoring the basement. They really care about the quality of their work and they provide excellent service. The project manager was knowledgeable and informative. The workman were focused on quality and they were respectful of my home. They listened and they outcome was beyond my expectations.

Interior and exterior restoration work was completed after water damage from a roof leak. Mick was in close contact and responsive to all calls and questions. Once scheduled, the work was completed quickly with no issues. Work areas were protected during the job and clean of any debris after the work was done. I can’t say enough good things about Hays&Sons! Travis and his team were amazing! I had called other companies and they were going to make me wait a couple weeks. Traviwere respectful my home and melt everything covered and as clean as possible. It took time to repair my attic but Travis called or texted at least daily to let me know what was going on. I would also like to mention David Kline who went above and beyond. When it came time for the reconstruction phase, my new team manager, Chris, made sure I was happy with everything. It took so much stress off of me, knowing they were handling everything. I would like to thank them all again for all of their help!

We were referred to Travis for a mold issue in our basement. He called immediately and set up an appointment to come and help us identify the source. After a thorough inspection, he ruled out a number of potential causes and helped identify where we were likely getting water. In our case, it was something we could fix on our own once the source was identified. The fact that we were not billed for the inspection and were also given instructions for fixing this ourselves was a welcome change compared to the way many other companies operate. Honest and reliable are not traits that every company exudes, but Hays & Sons has them in ample supply. I would definitely recommend this company.

My honey & I were on vacation in another state when a toilet overflowed at our home. It was bad. The water actually covered most of the flooring! The plumber I called recommended Hays & Sons for the water damage repairs. We are so thankful to go with them. Travis, the project manager for the mitigation phase, did an excellent job informing us of their progress. He also suggested how to deal with & what to expect from the insurance company. A couple of new problems popped up in which he promptly informed us of. That resulted in getting them fixed sooner than later. Mio inspected our home and assured us things would be taken care of promptly. Mick, the project manager for the restoration phase did an excellent job helping my lady pick out the flooring, carpeting, & cabinets to replace. He kept us up to date on all progress. Todd did wonderful work with the cabinetry and was very helpful with other hands-on work in the house. Everybody from the company was very friendly and willing to fix whatever little detail was missed. They've done top notch work and I would recommend them to anyone needing restoration work done on their home!

We discovered we had two leaky windows after a bad storm. They came out quickly and immediately started the process of drying everything out. The team was very friendly, professional and left no mess behind. Zero complaints!

Absolutely amazing!y sewer backed up and my house was flooded. Family room kitchen and basement all filled with sewer water and ruined. My insurance sent out Hays and they gave an estimate and asked me if I wanted to use them. I said yes. Within an hour Travis and his team were here. They began to clean and demolition immediately. Once my home was dry Rio stepped in to repair. All I can say now is my home is back to where it was. Even better. Rio and his crew took care of everything. This was all during the pandemic and a very hard time for me including burying my lab. Rio often checked in to make sure we were ok. I am very thankful for Travis and Rio.They put my home back together and giving me peace again.
