This past fall, Creekside began a landscaping project for me and I couldn’t be happier with the results thus far. Mike and his crew have been very professional and open to ideas throughout the process. I’ve never had so many people walk by or drive by and remark on how beautiful the property looks now. Some even took pictures! Indeed, I can’t wait for Phase 2 to begin!

Last summer I worked with Derrick and team on part one of a large landscaping project at my home. Part One was all the hardscape including Unilock pavers to extend current patio and a retaining wall for the pool. The results were outstanding. I received lots of compliments on the paver work, especially the contrasting black trim and sand fill-in. The team worked so quickly and kept the worksite neat and clean. I cannot wait for part two.

We were constructing our dream home and wanted the perfect backyard to match. We didn’t know much about landscaping, patio design, or how to incorporate items like a pool, pavilion, fire pit, kitchen, or other features, so when we met with various companies, we were looking for a guide for the entire process as well as someone we could trust to do great work. When we met Mike, the owner of Creekside, he spent genuine time with us to understand our needs, helping us think everything through and render designs to help bring the backyard to life. He even spent time with our daughters to make them feel part of the process. Mike is very passionate about what he does and intently studies his craft. WOW, did he and his team do fantastic and exceptional work! Each phase, which included coordinating with other vendors, was seamless. His recommendations were spot on, and the attention to detail from everyone during execution was spot on. We have a lot more planned with Mike. I highly recommend Creekside for anyone doing large and small projects. Worth it!

Creekside Outdoor Living was a pleasure to work with from the beginning to the end of each project they did for us. Our first project was the replacement of our 30+ year-old patio. The new patio is beautiful, much more useable, and a lovely addition to our back yard. They even replaced the exit at the other end of the pool, to match the patio.
This summer, we moved around to the side of the house, and had them replace the steps coming down the hill at the side of the house. They are now so much more attractive and easily - and safely - navigable. They also removed a retaining wall which had deteriorated, and replaced it with a graded slope.
We knew they were going to put in a walkway to connect the steps with the patio, but what we didn't expect was that they would remove some of the edging of the patio, and incorporate the walkway right into the patio. It unifies the two projects in a very attractive way.
We have been more than satisfied with the end results of each and every service they have done for us.

The team at Creekside was wonderful to work with throughout our entire project. We started our journey working directly with the landscape architect to design a breathtaking outdoor living area built around an inground pool, complete with a unique multifaceted tile design, seating walls, fire pit, and custom in-tile lighting system all surrounded by beautiful/lush vegetation that creates a natural barrier to the surrounding world. The team met with me each day to walk through what was complete, what was planned for the day, and what was planned for the days ahead. We worked closely with the installation crew to make minor infield modifications if/when necessary. Their superb craftmanship and attention to every detail resulted in an outdoor living space that far exceeded our expectations, and has been the envied talk of our family and friends.
The Creekside team made the entire project easy and painless. They were excellent at keeping the lines of communication open, they kept me informed of progress on a daily basis, and they offered options and suggestions any time there was obstacle or opportunity for improvement on the initial plan.

Mike and his crew are amazing. From the detailed walk through planning what we wanted, great suggestions to transform our ideas, detailed and intricate design features (state of the art!), and then a hard working, extremely knowledgeable, and wonderful group or workers to complete the project; this business is one of the best. Mike worked with us to create the vision we had in our minds. His suggestions really helped us work out the kinks and his expertise helped make sure we didn't make rookie mistakes. He used videos and a drone to capture the full property and made it much easier to visualize the project with his design team's additions. When the team came out to start, they worked diligently, timely, and were great to talk to at all times. They made sure to check with us when there was any issue or suggest a slight change. They were cordial and blasted through the project. We had so many moving parts and they made it all work and look spectacular. They are true professionals and we look forward to using them again on another project!

I can say after a full year of fertilizer and weed control, my appreciation for the attention to detail and the product they use has been huge. They also care about outcomes. The way they show is that they actually won’t typically do Lawn Care for you unless you’re a fertilizer customer. They don’t want someone else’s weeds from their equipment being transferred to another customer. They know if they’re managing all of it, they can confidently stand behind their product, service, and most importantly…the results! Highly recommend!!!

We are very happy with the quality of service provided by Creekside Outdoor Living. We contracted with them to provide lawn fertilization, aerating and over seeding for 2022. They showed up when they said they would, did a great job and the people were very knowledgeable and professional.

This company is stacked with wonderful people from the owner Mike to the install crew lead Joe! They made the design process so easy! From a simple conversation to a 3D design on the computer that you can "walk through" to the finishing touches of our outdoor paradise! My wife and I love these guys!

We have been extremely happy with all the services we have received from Creekside. We had spent months attempting to obtain some type of patio, porches and sidewalk replacement. Finally I had a friend refer Mike Arnold from Creekside. When I called him, he came out within a week to discuss options and give us an estimate. A design plan was created for us and in a few months our back patio was replaced with the beautiful pavers. A circular pattern was used with black pavers to accent. They worked hard with us to incorporate a gazebo into the patio. The steps are curved and lighting installed. The sidewalk around the house has accent lights. The second portion was done the following spring. This included a new front porch and sidewalk that was seamlessly blended into the previous sidewalk done in the fall. We were very happy with all aspects of the two projects. Everyone worked together as a team and were pleasant and courteous. We have also had grass weed and fertilizer services. We were shocked to see the difference this has made for our lawn! I continue to just look at all of the improvements with awe. We are very happy!

Mike Arnold and his team designed a beautiful backyard around my inground pool. The multi-colored Uni-lock his crew installed transformed my backyard into a relaxing and gorgeous oasis. His team was so professional and knowledgeable throughout the process. Creekside also poured 2 concrete steps by my front and back doors. I am immensely pleased that Creekside was able to work such magic turning my yard into an enjoyable retreat. The design, installation, communication and follow up was outstanding!

Landscape design and implementation. Everyone we dealt with were very professional, timely, and we were so pleased with the outcome of our project.

We hired Creekside to fix our failed retaining wall that was done incorrectly by another local contractor. We could not be more pleased with the end result. Creekside was professional and took pride in their work and it shows. I am confident that this wall will hold up and I love the aesthetics of it as well. They were on time and completed the project when they said they would. The whole team was a pleasure to work and communicate with. They recommended the added lighting and it really made a big difference. We are so happy that we went with Creekside and we will be using them for all of our future outdoor projects! From day one Creekside performed above their competitors. The bidding process was far more professional than their peers, this alone weighed heavily on our decision. We were upfront about timing letting all prospects know that implementation may be a year or 2 away. This may have influenced how some responded. Mike and Creekside didn't flinch at this. The design phase was phenomenal! It was clear that Mike took detailed notes on his first visit. After a short discussion with the designer the wheels were in motion. Creekside did a great job on our landscaping project. They listened to what we wanted/needed and came up with a wonderful design for our backyard. When any issues came up they were willing to make it right. They were on time, worked really hard to finish in a timely manner, and wanted to make sure we were happy when the job was completed. Creekside did an AMAZING job from the quote process, to final product! We did a landscape refresh project, and Creekside was both interactive and adaptive throughout the whole project. Mike personally sent interactive videos explaining landscape ideas, provided great inputs to our plant and bush selections, and adapted to changes along the way. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!

Owner took his contact information off his truck because he drives so irresponsibly. Not only that, but he got in arguments on tik tok when people called him out on his reckless driving habits. He mentioned phone calls happened weekly, just how terrible of a person and driver do you have to be to get calls weekly?

We hired Creekside to replace the retaining walls and stairs leading from our house down the hill to the lake in front of our house. It was not a simple task but Creekside did a wonderful job creating a 2-tiered retaining wall, replacing the deteriorated wood that was there when we purchased our home, with retaining block and stone coping, which transformed our yard into a relaxing space where we can actually enjoy the view. Creekside went above and beyond our expectations by enhancing the original design with their insight and expertise. They made suggestions and paid attention to details that we might otherwise have overlooked like built-in lighting and the beautiful Rosetta stone walkway that we had not envisioned ourselves. From the beginning of the project until the end, we were treated with kindness and respect from everyone in the company. Our questions were taken seriously and answered honestly and promptly. We could not have asked for a better experience and we will definitely call on Creekside again for any landscaping projects in the future. We contracted with Creekside to re-landscape our house. Mason was great to work with - very responsive to what we wanted. We had their landscape architect draw up a design and she worked with us until it was what we wanted. Both she and Mason were very respectful of our budget. There was zero pressure to spend more, the workers were friendly, hard working and cleaned up when finished each day. Mason was on site every day making sure everything was done correctly. It was a big job, but they did it correctly and our water problem was solved!! Then they moved on to landscaping our backyard. Mike and his team did a phenomenal job reconstructing our deck and patio. We were unsure of what we wanted to be done, but with Creekside’s design software they were able to show us many options and we were able to construct our perfect outdoor living space. We had both our back deck and front patio completely reconstructed and they finished in just 3 weeks! They worked through both the snow and cold weather. Talk about exceptional service! I would absolutely recommend Creekside to those who are looking for their perfect outdoor living space!

Mike and his team from Creekside were absolutely wonderful to work with. The work they did on my parents landscaping was phenomenal so we had them do repair landscaping for our home! Their price was fair, they were timely, and professional. They had to completely take apart past work and reset it properly, as well as move some borders and remove bushes as well as trees. They did the work and our dogs were not even upset at the crew working! Our front yard looks very nice and the front landscaping is no longer falling apart! It was great that they were unable to utilize material that we already had, it saved us a bit of money. We will not hesitate to give them a call if there are any problems, and we have been reassured that they will help if there are any concerns come Spring. These guys work at the top of the professional level! The landscaping around our home had gotten out of control. Mike designed a new look for us that would require less maintenance, back in 2017. The crew members that did the work were all conscientious workers. The work was done during October and November of 2017. The old landscape was removed. A smaller area was designed with a brick border with grass planted in the former landscape area. Many of the days were cold and damp. These guys never quit. It was too late in the season for some plantings so they were planted the following spring. A few plants didn't survive the winter and were replaced in the spring as guaranteed. I highly recommend Creekside landscaping.

Creekside helped us with our new construction home including front and back sod, stylish landscaping (using cool 3D interactive software), and a full sprinkler system. It has been nearly four decades since Tom Peters wrote In Search of Excellence, detailing his quest to find the best run companies in America. Creekside Outdoor Living could have been on that list had they been around. From the top down to the laborers, this is a first class organization.
The sales staff led by President Mike Arnold is remarkably responsive. The incredibly talented designer showed great patience as we worked on her brilliant design. Finally, our Project Supervisor Mason led the crews who painstakingly executed that exquisite design with the skill of old world craftsmen. Importantly, there were no surprises on price. I knew what this project would cost from the start and they stayed right on budget and on time. When they needed stone, it was there. Never once in over three weeks did this project stop for lack of material, labor or equipment.
Every step of the process was flawless. Of course nothing would matter unless the folks in the trenches, who must determine elevations, excavate the site, lay the base, and then cut and lay the stone were not the extraordinary craftsmen they are. And indeed these gentlemen executed brilliantly and with exacting detail the design plan that was months in the making.
We had two levels of circular stone patios created that connected two separate composite wood decks that likewise were at different elevations. The determination of elevations was critical to this project, and it had to be coordinated with the separate contractor installing the decks, both of which were either complete redesign, or in the case of one, a brand new deck serving new patio doors off the master suite. Creekside worked diligently (six days a week often from shortly after 8 until 6 pm) to both set the proper elevations and properly coordinate with the deck contractor to make sure the stone met the deck stairs perfectly. They also built a grill island, helped create a stunning water feature, and finally installed beautiful landscape lighting
In a word, Creekside transformed our home both front and back, as they also did a “front entry makeover” involving new steps and planter boxes all in Unilock Estate wall and Ledgestone steps and coping. The front project, too, is stunning and called upon the great design team to create another masterpiece.
Simply put, we could not be more pleased. Five stars are not enough.
Before they did our project, I read their on line reviews and thought, no one is this good, for I am not the first make note of their excellence. I was wrong. They are that good. I cannot recommend Mike and his team any more highly. I have a much smaller spring time project and they will be the only bidder.

THANK YOU Creekside! I know Diane and I had a 3-D Design of what the Patio & Landscape would look like, but not even in our wildest dreams did we expect what we believe is a spectacular finished product. We have had well over 30 people stop and tour the patio and landscaping and of course Creekside is mentioned with an offer of your contact information. However, the best comment was made by 3 ladies who stopped, admired the finished product and said "talk about making a statement".

Even our fur babies, Annabelle and Holly, love the patio. On Friday evening they took a self-guided tour of the upper and lower patios, walked up the stairs as if they were going to go in the house and turned and jumped off the side ledge and started playing.

Finally the crew... simply wonderful! They made a number of suggestions that have enhanced the project such as additional step lights, river rock for better drainage and the placement of the plants and shrubs. I have attached a picture we took last night, but the picture does not show the entire finished product.

Next year we will be seeking your help and guidance to finish the South side of the house along with the front which we hope can include a small Magnolia Tree.

Hands down the best landscaping company. The best thing about Mike and his guys were they were always consistent with their products and getting the job done by the deadline. They brought our lawn back to life from what was mostly weeds and dirt! I will never let another company touch our lawn! I look forward to many more sessions with them!

We enlisted Creekside to create us the back/side yard of our dreams! We met with 4 other landscaping companies and no one compared to Creekside from initial consultation and ideas to the incredible 3-D presentation of our project. I felt like I was on an episode of an HGTV show. Thank You Creekside for our end project being as amazing as the design. And for having the ability to see our vision to completion.

I spent probably a full year researching local landscaping companies to help me with my backyard project for a new construction home. After talking to a dozen or so companies and hearing nothing but uninspiring proposals, I found Creekside and knew right away they were the one. Mike listened to our ideas and came up with a plan that was exactly what we were looking for. The price was fair and the work was done extremely well. The only downside is a bunch of jealous neighbors!

These guys are great!! We needed a paver wall on the side of the driveway, and wanted someone professional to do it because we were worried about drainage issues. Mike came out, and gave us a quote that was significantly lower than a few of the other places I called! When they came out to do the work, the crew got the demo and construction done in two days! They were friendly, and let me add another tier no problem! They did wonderful work, and I would definitely hire them again!

Oh- and the final bill was LESS than the quote.. gotta love that!!

Update:
I got my work done and it exceeded my expectations for my awful yard. I spoke with Mike, and he explained it had been a mess of a summer and apologized for the inconvenience. I believe this was an off season for them and not how they usually run business.

Creekside did a great job of filling in a low spot of my yard and putting in drainage tiles in April or so, which I imagine was their off season and that was why it was such great service.

I've had a contract signed with them since May (I think) to redo a lot of my yard and I've been pushed off for almost 3 months now. I was given a date around the middle of June with no show. I waited a couple weeks and called for an update. I was given a reason that it was rainy weather and they had a staff shortage. I was understanding. I was also understanding each time I called or emailed about an update for the following 2 months. Then I started getting a "next weekend" answer from them. Then we'd get a day or two of rain, so I figured it would get pushed back. I kept calling and calling and finally had the utility company come out and mark my yard. Okay, great! Any day now. That was 3 or 4 weeks ago now. Then I got a "on Saturday if there's only one day of rain this week" answer about 2 weeks ago. There was a day of rain so I figured sometime the next week. It wasn't.

I called today and was told I would get a call back in 45 min when someone was out of a meeting. Up until this point, I was always told "we just reworked the schedule and you're schedule to start [fill in blank]." Well it's been about three hours now. When I called, a girl named Amber answered and transferred me to Gina's phone, which was not set up for voicemail. Then I called back immediately to talk to Amber, and no one answered.

I can't tell if they're about to go out of business so they're giving everyone the run around or what. I'm thinking of either demanding my deposit back or asking for a very steep discount because this is just appalling. If I were one of the receptionists and had to deal with all of their complaining customers, I'd be pretty embarrassed and not work there. They probably take a lot of abuse.

We hired Creekside to do basic landscaping for our new construction home in September of 2017, and that was the biggest mistake we could have made.
When we were researching landscaping companies in NWI, I came across all of these wonderful reviews and pictures that people were sharing about Creekside, so my husband and I decided to call them for a quote. Mike, the owner, met us at our new home. He was very friendly and informative. We received the quote for our project from him on the same day, and we let him know within a week that we had decided to hire them to do the job. When Mike met my husband to have him sign the contract and collect the deposit check, he informed my husband that they were a few weeks out from getting to our project, which was no problem at all.

The middle/end of October came around and Bob, the guy in charge of our project, came by our house to introduce himself, let us know where he was at with starting our project, etc. Wow, that was great!

After the first interaction with Bob, everything went downhill from there.

1) Our project was not started when we were told it would be and Bob never once communicated that to us. In fact, Bob was absolutely terrible at communicating with us during the entire time that we dealt with him, or this company. Our project was started one day, then the crew didn't show for a few days, then would come back to work again, etc. etc. Never bothered to call or communicate in any way. November had arrived and all we had on our property were buried downspouts and landscaping bricks. No visible signs of Bob and his crew for about two weeks, no phone calls to let us know when he was coming back to finish, or what we were looking at as far as timeline. We were extremely frustrated at this point.
2) To top off our frustrations with Bob and the lack of progress on our project, the Creekside office called my husband to let him know that they never received our deposit check. What?? The funny thing is, my husband personally handed our deposit check to Mike, the owner, on the day our contract was signed in September (the 22nd to be exact), and my husband told the woman that. Long story short, when the woman in the office called my husband back, she said she had spoke with Mike and he said that he remembers my husband giving him the check but he had lost it between the time he picked it up from our house and went to the airport for a personal trip that day.
At this point we were so unbelievably aggravated and fed up. My husband called Creekside and spoke with the manager. He told the manager that we were not going forth with their company and we would just pay them for the little work they had completed. The manager insisted that we stick with them, gave him this whole speech about how Bob was new to the foreman position and that he needs to learn to communicate, blah blah blah...
We gave them another chance, and we were so stupid to do so.

We had to have the lost check voided, pay a fee to have it voided (Creekside did, however, reimburse us), and then issue Creekside a new deposit check. The manager spoke to Bob, and Bob made sure to have our project complete within two weeks (at this point in time, the weather was very cold and rainy). We are now looking into the middle of November.

Bob told us that he was adding us to their list to have our sod rolled again with their machine the first thing in the spring. Spring came, and Bob left a message on my husband's voicemail letting us know that if we needed anything to give him a call, but never came to roll the sod.
As the weather started getting nicer, our sod had started dying and coming up in quite a few spots and a few bushes looked dead. My husband called Bob and Bob said that he would come out to take a look and "figure out what they needed to do." Never called, never came by, never had our sod rolled or our dead bushes replaced.

You have lost a customer, and we have been and will continue to tell people about our horrible experience. Money was thrown in the garbage.

We partnered with Creekside to landscape our new construction house. From the first meeting, Mike and his team made us feel like family, and wanted to understand what we wanted (not trying to sell us on what he wanted). The design team put together a fantastic 3D drawing for us to review, and modifications were simple, and sent back very quickly for review. Once we finalized a design, Mike and his team were very transparent on pricing, and even suggested ways to reduce cost if desired (mulch instead of rock, natural edging instead of aluminum, etc.). Once we signed the contract and agreed on a start date, Mike and his team were very efficient in completing the job. The Creekside team were fantastic and made sure we “signed off” on all aspects of the installation. Once complete, they cleaned up the job site, and made it seem like they were never there! After installation, Mike and the team made sure to stop by and check out the sod, while making sure all the plants and trees were in good shape. What I love about Creekside is that the “job” doesn’t just end after installation, they make sure that you are 100% satisfied throughout the process, and even after! I would highly recommend Creekside for your next job!

In the Spring of 2017, we needed to have extensive sewer work done on our property. This partly entailed digging up our existing backyard patio, which was quite old and out of style. We wanted a new one that was of a more modern design.

We were very impressed when we contacted Creekside Landscaping for an estimate on the project. Mike Arnold came out on a Saturday and showed us what could be done at a price that was within our budget, using a design very up-to-date that we never imagined.

The patio was installed and completed in a very timely manner. Crew members were very industrious and answered all of our questions and concerns.

Mike, Bob and crew were very helpful to work with. The design included some plants that we liked from our old patio. They also added new plants that we had never before heard of but worked out beautifully in the design.

All-in-all, we were absolutely pleased with the price, workmanship, and overall appearance of the patio and will definitely refer Creekside Landscaping to others.

Creekside was professional and efficient with their installation and Mike even brought up a few ideas I hadn't thought of to better enhance our backyard retreat. I will be recommending Creekside in the future.

Creekside landscaping did a phenominal job on giving us a backyard we now want to spend all of our time in. When looking to re-do our backyard and rip out our deck we consulted with MANY landscaping companies. Creekside was the only one to not only present us with a 3-D image/video of what we could expect with them, but also to make a plan that we couldn't have imagined ourselves while playing into our personalities and all the things we had mentioned would be nice. Their design team is extremely talented and from the moment we saw what our backyard could look like, we knew it needed to look like what they showed us. The on-site crew was also very talented, professional, and worked with us to modify the project as needed during implementation. They were patient, knowledgable, and patient. With any hiccups that came along in our project, Creekside as a whole tried to make sure we were informed and happy customers. Their customer service is really great and even after the completed project, we are still able to contact them and ask for help on how to winterize our fountain. I truly do not think another landscaping service could deliver the way they did. With that, I would recommend them if you are looking for innovative design, craftsmanship, and service.

Last fall/winter we were looking for someone to do a yard cleanup. We live on a corner and get many oak leaves from neighbors who do not take care of their property. With that being said, they came out when we were not at home and there was not a leaf, branch or debris anywhere on the property. So, when we decided to update our landscaping, we called Creekside. Great contact with staff. They were polite, professional and hard working. Job was done in no time. Love the new updated look!

The work was well planned out and the men how did the work are very creative and are very easy to discuss details with. They were very professional.
