Hayes Ace Hardware & Rental

In a pinch, this place has what the big box stores don't. I prefer shopping here instead of the other two big stores. Convenient and helpful staff.

I was traveling for work and needed a few items. I was impressed with their hardware selection and everything was well layed out

Great selection of most things I need when I open my camp every year. The rental department is shaky at best. I tried to rent a piece of equipment. I was told everything was rented out. All that equipment sat on the lot all weekend. I feel that they just did not have people to deliver. Don't effing lie. Young lady at rental desk was most pleasant person in rental.

Always greeted when coming into store. Associates knowledgeable and helpful in finding what I'm looking for and often offering suggestion on how to better use product to complete my project.

The employees here are very friendly and helpful. They always offer to have someone load any heavy purchases right into my car, which I really appreciate. The prices are good, the quality is good, and I like that my purchases support a local business employing local people, instead of one of the big box stores.

Todays visit to Ace Hardware in Carbondale pa. As i approached the doors an associate saw me and held the door so it wouldn't slide closed on me due to the fact I'm on crutches. She carried my purchase out and put into my car and stayed with me till i was in my car. Not only helpful but caring.

The associates always go out of their way to assist you. Nancy assisted me in locating the DryerDock within a few minutes.

Most complete inventory in area so they usually have everything you need. Very easy to shop there with helpful, friendly staff.
PLUS the owners are generally if not always on premises working as hard as anyone.

Their rental department really has something to be desired. The rude attitude of dealing with the employees there sucks. I’ll never use them for rental again, I’ll take the trip to Windham rental. The regular store employees and the ladies at the front desk are great and a pleasure to deal with.

We had a leaking hot water pipe under our kitchen sink. Thanks to Sheps wonderful help we were able to find the correct fittings and parts to get the job done. We have never tried to do anything with plumbing so went in with no knowledge and he was able to walk us through all steps so we could feel confident in what was needed. I honestly can not thank you enough.

The customer service at Ace Hayes True Value store is second to none. Not only do their employees go out of their way to help but they are all friendly, funny, and personable people. This store recently refunded me for a faulty sump pump after six months of use. I had lost the receipt but nonetheless they refunded me 100% for the sump pump and sincerely thanked me for being a customer on my way out. I’ve had a truly incredible customer service experience there! It’s great to have such a good hardware store in a small town like Bridgton Maine and I’ll always stop in at Hayes True Value first for my home and garden needs.

A great small Town Family owned Hardware Store. Surprisingly large Selection. Friendly Attentive Folks. Definitely not a Big Box Store Experience!

Guys in the back were super helpful when we needed a part for a brand they don't even carry, and got use a substitute from a brand they do carry, we just had to modify it a little ourselves. Didn't realize you can find reverse thread nuts in standard sizes and thread patterns all around. Metric? Not so much.

Expert professional friendly and compassionate staff. The young man who helped me select a generator that would work best for my husband’s oxygen equipment in the event of a power outage was wonderful. The young man who led me around the store to find an assortment of items I needed was very patient and kind. The big box stores should come to Hayes and learn what excellent customer service really should be.

They had the nuts and bolts I needed. To spite the busy weekend. I was in and out in less than ten.

Great store !!! Alot of selection ,prices are fair in most cases ,but some items can be over priced ,most of the staff is very very helpful and knowledgeable, I did ask for some information and a price on a grill and the younger gentlemen knew nothing and was not offering anything , the store does have a great selection of everything you would expect a hard I store to have and more ,I would recommend shopping here.

Very professional place the owner himself looked up my parts when I called and had them waiting on the counter when I got there. Everyone else is knowledgeable and helps make sure you get what you need.

This ace goes out of their way to help you. They took a bar for my chainsaw of a floor model because they didn't have one on the shelf that way I didn't have to wait for an ordered one.

Always a great place to ask questions and get what you need for supplies locally! Lots of expertise inside these walls!

Used to be True Value not long ago but now Ace. Still have an amazing selection of everything. So much more than a hardware store. Also a very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

They have an awesome range of hardware, including stuff Most stores don't. Great people too, real people. They are extremely helpful, and, as I go there a Lot, I very much appreciate it.

UPDATE: Has recently become an ACE HARDWARE Franchise. Still Hayes Family Owned and Operated! True Value Stock being phased out and sold at a GREAT Discount! A handy hardware store in our own back yard! Carries a good selection of paint,reglazes windows as a service upon request,equipment rental and repair service. Good plumbing and electrical selection. Lawn and Garden Section. Local History Book Rack,Common Hand and Electrical Tools. Pleasant Staff. Some Toys,Pocketknives( good gifts for Fathers Day or Christmas!) Flags and some Seasonal Decorations. Deal with REAL PEOPLE here...and NOT an AUTOMATED CHECKOUT.
