Very professional and accommodating to our needs. Beth was amazing and could not have been more helpful. This was just one part of a large reroof project but was the easiest to deal with. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing their solar hot water heater replaced. Mahalo!
I am deeply grateful for this company’s respectful attitude and aloha spirit towards its customers.
Two separate components in our solar hot water heater systems failed (factory defect), and additionally, an issue arose associated with installation timing, that required replacement of our roof (not company fault). The company had, at all times, done a good job it was just spectacularly bad luck --- for us, **and** for Hawaiian Solar and Plumbing.
Nevertheless, Hawaiian Solar and Plumbing never had an attitude, never got snarky or critical --- they just replaced the defective components, and worked with us while we repaired our roof. And they were incredibly kind and pleasant the whole time.
As customers, we only have super positive things to say about them, and we strongly recommend them to any Hawaiian homeowners wanting to install hot water systems in their homes. Hawaiian Solar and Plumbing do a great job, they are fast, punctual, incredibly clean on the job, informative, and they are really easy to work with. And, as mentioned a second ago, they totally support their work-product.
Why can’t every vendor be like these guys?
We were disappointed that when the technicians showed up to inspect the system (because our electric bill had gone up considerably), we expected that they would climb onto the roof to inspect the hot water heater. In the past some years back, when we had a much higher electric bill and we called for a system check, when the technicians arrived, they climbed onto the roof, inspected the hot water heater and told us that we needed a new hot water heater. We expected a similar inspection but they did not climb on the roof this time and they told us that there would be no charge for the visit. They did suggest that our refrigerator in our garage might be the issue. They then said there would be no charge and left. The whole visit, they were here for less than 15 minutes. A few days later we receive a bill in the mail for $200 with no hot water tank inspection. We asked to speak to the owner after complaining to the manager, and were told that the owner was on vacation. Until he returns and we speak to him, we will not submit payment for the visit that we were told that we would not be charged for that if we didn't pay the visit, the company would go out of business.
