I recently had to rely on water mitigation services after a water leak damaged a portion of my home. From the moment I came into contact with SERVPRO, I was impressed with the professionalism, speed, and thoroughness of their team.

A special call-out to Nate, Noel, Darren, Donovan and Kelvin, they arrived promptly and immediately assessed the damage, explaining the process in detail. These men did an outstanding job, they answered every one of my 100 questions! I couldn’t have asked for a better team of people to work at my house. They used high-tech equipment, including moisture meters and industrial-grade dehumidifiers, to efficiently extract water and prevent mold growth.

They communicated with me regularly, updating me on their progress and letting me know what to expect next. In addition, they helped me navigate the insurance claims process, which was a huge relief.

What stood out to me was their attention to detail and commitment to getting the job done right. Once the drying process was complete I could tell they weren’t just there to finish the job—they were genuinely interested in ensuring that my home was safe.

We had a water leak in a bathroom which went undetected for several days, with water reaching an adjacent bedroom. We discovered the problem one evening, and immediately called Servpro of Hawaii. Within about one hour of our call, Nick (Project Manager) and his crew were at our home beginning the process of remediation. They returned the next morning to continue the process. Once remediation was completed, Nick arranged for a subcontractor to restore everything to its original condition.
We were very happy with the work of Servpro and would call on them in the future should the need arise.

Unfortunately we had a broken water filter under our kitchen sink when we were off Island my neighbor inform us that the there was water coming out our Garage door I immediately called Serv Pro within hours Nick Montana’s showed up with his crew they opened the house and began to remove standing water removing carpets and flooring Sheetrock moving furniture to dry areas.
Nick show how professional he was by leading his crew for the next week and a half removing damage materials from our home when I got there
Nick answered all my questions and explained the process of dealing with deconstruction from the first day until the last day of moving all of our belongings into storage.
Nick has a lot of knowledge of construction techniques which help him explain things to me of what they had to do.

Our water dispenser pipe broke after business closing and all through the night water poured into our office leaving it soaked with puddles everywhere!! Servpro Hilo was onsite quickly to assess the damage and promptly went into action. Thorough morning and afternoon check-ins continued until our office was back to normal. THE WORST! SERVPRO of KAILUA KONA, HAWAII As an established property manager I’ve definitely have had my fair share of good/bad & ugly experiences in all scopes of maintenance. Servpro is by far the WORST! I had a unkniwn slow tub drain leak which over a long period of time resulted in a flood & bad black mold situation. Don’t be fooled by anything they claim to be on their website. It’s all false. They don’t answer any phones on weekends. I’m still two months later living in a home with one less usable bed/batheoom my living room/kitchen flooring gutted out. The black mold was spread thru out the entire home so fast all they did was put about 10 extremely large loud fans in my home that now hot air for about a week. About tripled my electric bill of which didn’t even bother to claim nothing on insurance for me. You’ll have to deal with a bunch of donkeys especially the “clean up crew” which consisted of a couple of adolescents carrying a spray bottle and one rag goofing off & even sprayed my new flat screen tv leaving spots all over it. After many failed attempts trying to get anyone back to my home to finish the job they started I ended up having to hire in a separate cleaning crew. ‍♀️ it’s been the worst nightmare & still haven’t heard nothing from them not even received any kind documents/invoices / insurance claims ect…. could go on & on. I just hope this review will save you & all future any one of yous . Don’t even consider this an option because you will regret .

We had SERVPRO come out to clean a pool machine room that had debris and mold, they came out quickly and gave us an estimate on the work and came out the following day to do the work. The guys did a great job cleaning the room and spraying with an anti fungal spray. The charge was very fair for the work and time that they put in, and the guys that came out were professional and friendly, we very definitely recommended this company.

We had a water leak in the bathroom. We called servpro and JV & Noel came within an hour! They found the source of the leak and set up dehumidifiers. They came everyday for 7 days to check the humidity in the affected rooms. Damon came and explained the procedure. We're very impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of the whole crew.

We encountered a leak and water damage situation on the eve of closing a real estate transaction, and we were referred to SERVPRO in Kailua Kona. Arthur Griffin was very responsive and knowledgeable, and quickly assessed the situation to identify the work required in order to correct the problem and repair the damage. He worked with us to analyze the potential leak causes and identify the source of the leak so that it could be fixed, and quickly set up his equipment to dry out the area so that the drywall could be repaired. We will call SERVPRO and Arthur again. He’s the best!

After experiencing the Lahaina wildfire we needed help cleaning our home. Servpro works exclusively with our insurance agency to ensure our needs where met and beyond. The crew who came in after my condo flooded did a remarkable, thorough, honest and professional remediation. Arthur always gave me updates and expectations that were both timely and thorough. Jimmie and Richie did the tough job of respecting the interior and a complete demo of flooring.

We used the ServPro team to clean up after a water leak in our condo. They were onsite within an hour or so after we contacted them and worked straight through several days to remove the water and preserve the furniture. Due to their efforts, the damage ended up being minimal. As we were remote when this happened, we really appreciated their communication on their progress. These guys are awesome. They came out immediately and began repair and cleanup of damage inside the house caused by a water pipe bursting while we were away from our home for several days. Servpro came to my home to access damage due to an improperly installed refrigerator. They evaluated the situation and quickly went into action
A crew came in and packed up my furniture and stored in a container that was brought to my home. They removed my flooring and set up fans and a dehumidifier.
The entire experience (although overwhelming) was handled very professionally. I truly felt as if the crew were my friends.. they gave me confidence that I would one day get back to normal!

Wow these guys are amazing-we had a disaster water event from a storm and the next day they were out with all kinds of quality, new equipment and manpower. Cleaned up then started with the drying process. Extremely courteous great guys. Can’t say enough. Rare to get service like this nowadays. Should be 10 star!

Cant say enough great things about these guys. A hole in a water line flooded the ohana & Servpro was recommended by insurance. Mike showed up 15 min after the initial call and the crew started working on getting the walls dry the next morning. The crew, Huelo, Kamaunu, Nate were awesome. This is the business to choose. I just can’t say enough good things about the service we got from SERVPRO of Kailua Kona, Hawaii. First, I called them and the got back to me right away. Then, the great employee, Arthur, came to assess the flood damage THE NEXT DAY ! Who does that these days? Apparently no one but SERVPRO! Arthur was more than willing to show me how they determine where the water is coming from and other water damage. He spent the time to show me where they needed to cut exactly. When I went to inspect their work, the demo was immaculate and so clean that we were thrilled! Sorry for the delayed response. I called Serv-Pro the day after the major storm on the Big Island 7/17. Since we were not on island, Justin came right away and got to it. He coordinated with Dave and together they assessed the water and mold damage. They removed debris that was not salvageable, cleaned and packed up contents and moved them upstairs. I wish they had gotten the contract for our HOA, they were so easy to work with and communicated everything to us. When that did not happen, they actually forgave all the charges!!! Who does that? Such professionals!!!

I was in NYC taking care of my Father when the water filter burst in my refrigerator back home in Hawaii. It flooded my entire home, upstairs and down. I had tenants renting my home while I'm away and they notified my property manager who quickly called Servpro. They had a very rapid response and did a professional job. From the detailed pictures and invoice I could see the massive amount of work they did, removing flooring and drywall from my newly renovated home. It was nice to know that the disaster was being handled in a thoughtful and knowledgeable way while I'm away from home. They put a stop to the heartbreaking disaster, so I can breath again.

Justin, Ethan and Tsru arrived on time and made quick work of sealing of the flooded areas and setting up fans and a dehumidifier. They were just as quick and thorough at taking everything down and putting back our furniture. We are so happy that we used them and recommend them highly!

I had extensive damage involving cleaning up 2 walls to their studs and removing a cabinet. It was done in no time and huge fans and a dehumidifier were used to dry everything up. Absolutely fantastic!

5 star professional service! Casey & Damon came to inspect the damage and explained the water mitigation process thoroughly; and answered all my questions. I felt taken care of during the entire process. Kudos to Casey & his team!

Came home from a relaxing vacation to a nightmare of water stress and unknowns due to a faulty water heater. Both were mitigated by the fast response of the Office Manager, Tammy and the hands on crew of Arthur, Logan & Ethan. I found everyone to be experts of their trade and were amazing how well they treated my home and made me feel like everything was going to be ok. I would of course never want this to happen to anyone esp to myself again, but hands down the first company I would recommend and call. Since their first visit, Arthur has returned to my home to inspect how the drying is progressing. Simply impressed!!

Update:
12/29/21 - Since the above mitigation 2 months ago, my home is still in the same state. Still being told arbitrary dates that have moved once already and no timeline schedule even after providing 11k deposit. I’m still hopeful things will change but am concerned due to lack of communication and responsiveness. Fingers crossed everything will come together and I’ll update this review if it happens.

01/17/22 - After being told repeatedly that White Gloves was not being responsive or unavailable nor were their in-house crew available and that the relocation of my furniture was no longer necessary, I called White Gloves personally and had my furniture moved out in 2 days. Day 1 of construction, the PM does not come onsite and sends two nice ESL men that do subpar drywall work with finger size gaps. Mud should be used to fill seams not gaps. They also after months inquiring on the vanity selection, dropped the task and handed it off to me without any direction besides to go to hardware stores. Not a big ask had I been afforded the necessary time to get quotes not to mention it was in their initial quote to do. Still hoping for the best but very concerned that their lack of communication, logistics are just two of possibly three issues.

01/18/22 - Nestor and his colleague completed all of the dry wall today including taping, mudding and texturing. My earlier worries on the gaps are no longer of concern.

Making sure everything was professionally clean after having almost 2ft of water in a space my three young children (all under 9) use as a playroom was critical to me.

Justin and his crew were thorough, professional and efficient with my post-flood remediation concerns and I now feel comfortable having my small children back in the basement.

The gentlemen were extremely professional. They did a lot of the mitigation in just a few hours, sealed off the area and had fans drying for the weekend. They came back early on Monday to quickly retrieve their fans and restore the quiet. I recommend Servpro highly.

We had lots of sheet rock damage from a water leak and SERVPRO came in and dried the area very well. They checked humidity levels to make sure it was dry. They removed the damaged sheet rock and left the area very clean. I was very happy with their service. I highly recommend them.

The crew came in the day after my requests and were very fast and professional. Justin who was the Foremen kept me informed the entire time. Once the work was completed, they returned as they committed to remove all the equipment.

Casey and Richard, along with other crew members (Calvin & Al) headed by Mike, were quite professional and friendly in handling our restoration needs. Sensitive to unfamiliar odors, which they have determined to be mold, Richard was quick to mitigate the situation by providing an odor blocking packet. This immediately remedied the offensive odor. Moreover, Casey takes the time to call to alert me of their arrival and patiently explains what document I am signing.

I have had the opportunity to see the awesome work done by Brett and Rod with ServPro on three different occasions; one as a result of flooding issues from a washer that went bad. And the other two after a house fire. This property had to go through an initial clean up, followed by a more thorough removal of fire damage. They both work so very hard without complaint and I just hope ServPro realizes the value in these two guys.

Our Tiffany & Co store at the King's Shops on the Big Island had a flood. Servpro got us back up and re-opened within 24 hours. The service was excellent and the Servpro team very professional, empathetic and thorough.

On July 20, 2019 we organized a major clean up for an elderly lady who lived in a "hoarding situation." She was informed by her doctor that she would have to begin dialysis in August and there was no way that she would be able to return to her home in the condition that is was. I contacted many different businesses after hitting a dead end with the State and County resources (Adult Protective Services, Office of Aging and Public Health Nursing) knowing that the owner of the unit would not be able to assist financially with the clean up. After seeing a presentation that was done by Steve at Day-Lum Rentals & Management Inc., where I am employed, I thought I would take a risk to see if Servpro could help. I explained the situation and he informed me that he would have to check with his boss and would then get back to me. I was so pleased to hear that even though he couldn't be there physically the company donated a gift card at Home Depot for $100 dollars. Steve went to Home Depot, got every thing that we needed, came over to the unit the day of the cleaning and gave us a quick class "cleaning 101." Servpro was able to help with 3 fans to help circulate the wind as we had 3 small vernado fans blowing to keep the smell of the situation moving. Your fans were a life saver. Steve was so professional in guiding us and explained the importance of doing everything right. He came by on the second day to check on how every things was progressing and to me, that was going beyond the call of duty. We would not have been able to complete this taks if it wasn't for Servpro and for the many other businesses that donated their time and products in making a dream come true for this homeowner. She was overwhelmed with the love and care that was poured out to her and the thought that "strangers" would take the time a do the impossible. When asked how she like her home, her response was "I love it." Thank you Steve and Servpro for making a big difference in this woman's life. You gave her hope, peace and an answer to her prayers.
