Need a contractor? I suggest looking elsewhere. I had a very disappointing experience with this company. Although the owner initially came across as professional, things quickly went downhill. I paid him to begin work on my garage and purchase materials, but the job was never started. I was repeatedly given excuses. Week after week he claimed he was wrapping up a project but never got to me. Then, he claimed he was sending someone, but no one ever arrived. Later, he said he took a project out of state.
Ultimately, I had to hire another contractor who came with his crew when he said he would & completed the work in just two days. The owner, Emmanuel Stackhouse, returned $2,000 of the $6,900 I paid but has since stopped responding to my attempts to reach him. I hope others avoid the same stress and waste of time I experienced. Proceed with caution.
Find someone else to help with your repairs and remodeling. This one is a headache.
I hired HAQQ (Emmanuel) to replace a back door, repair the wall next to it, replace the carpet and flooring downstairs with hardwood, and replace all of the carpet upstairs. He never completed the door and done a very poor job with everything. The paint around the door was done very poorly, the exterior of the door looks horrible, and some of the trim was never installed. For the flooring the carpet was very loose and not fitted to the stairs, he didn’t not remove the vinyl flooring before placing the new wood floor and left the carpet padding down in the areas that were carpeted causing the panels to start to buckle. A lot of the baseboards were damaged, some missing, and some not installed properly. There were gaps approximately 1 inch from the baseboards to the floor panels and some of the ends weren’t cut to fit causing more gaps. It costs me about $4,000 for the wall/door and over $12,000 for the flooring. I had another contractor look at it also and he quoted me $4,200 to fix all of it minus the carpet which I am still waiting on a quote for.
Haqq Renovations provided very professional services by keeping us updated as the project progressed and was finished. The workmanship was good and didn't break the bank! We will recommend them to other family members.
