I could not be more pleased with my experience working with Frolian and his crew. I have worked with so many contractors on home improvement projects, and I found Hammer & Nail to be the easiest to work with, as well as the most professional. They took a beat up 1930s garage/shed that had rusted metal siding and rotten wood, and made it better than I ever thought it could be (see finished project pics below). The project also included adding a finished room that will be a gym, complete with mini-split. I live in a historic district in the City of Richmond, so the project was not without having to jump through the hoops of CAR and the city permitting office. There were many wrenches thrown at us, but Frolian guided us through it and had great ideas for how to make the garage great even with the stipulations placed on the project by regulators. He is very patient and calm, which was helpful to me during times when the project was held up waiting for another committee to weigh in. His crew worked incredibly efficiently and the project was completed in about 4 weeks total. They cleaned up the yard and left absolutely no trace of any construction materials. The price was totally reasonable for the job they did and he stayed almost completely in budget with the exception of a few items the city required, which were beyond his control. I look forward to many more projects with him and his team in the future. He is my contractor from now until whenever he decides to retire.

As soon as I met Froilan, I just “knew” this was the company I wanted to do the work on our house. Hammer & Nail checked all the boxes and then some and we couldn’t be happier with the results. FYI, I got 6 estimates (the first during COVID). Our house is older and all Masonite. I was able to keep it in good condition until Masonite stopped being sold in 2019. After that Woody woodpecker and mother nature started to take a toll and made repairs with cement siding more and more difficult. My biggest obstacle was finding a small, trustworthy, reasonably priced company. Hammer & Nail is that company. Thanks Hammer & Nail for an outstanding experience!

All of the workers were very good at what they do. Also answered any questions I had. The job was professional and perfect. They do what they say.

Froilan and his team did an amazing job with my loft project! I requested to turn my vaulted foyer into a second level loft to create an office space. The quote was incredibly reasonable, workers on time and cleaned up every day before they left. Froilan was always quick to answer any questions I might have. Great company, very easy to work with and professional. Had a big project to do two sets of exterior doors and rebuild a deck, replace some stairs to the other side of my sunroom, fix some wood rot and flashing in another area of the house. They made sure I was happy with everything and the finished result looks great. Already talking with the owner for an estimate on a second project just a month later, they're gonna make my house look new again.

Hammer and Nail Home Improvement painted exterior of my home. They also replaced some siding that had deteriorated, replaced railings on porch, installed gutter guards and new shutters. The owner listens to questions and was very responsive. I researched several home improvement companies before I decided on them. Very happy with the finished product. All around they were great to work with. Would highly recommend.

We used Hammer & Nail Home Improvement for our project of converting our cathedral ceiling into a second-floor room while improving our existing downstairs room and would highly recommend them.

Froi and his team are first and foremost punctual, and in our experience very committed to seeing a project through in a timely manner. From getting a quote to the project being completed in its entirety took only seven weeks. Froi and his team arrived at 8am and wrapped up around 4pm daily, scheduling certain tasks around our family.

Froi and his team receive feedback very well. Because the project moved very quickly and so much progress was made daily, there were a few things I requested to change after they were done— moving a light switch, painting a small wall to match one room instead of the other, etc. I was very pleased with the way Froi’s crew took these changes, with positive attitudes and without hesitation.

We will use Hammer & Nail for future projects and will recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

Froilan is incredibly nice and his guys did an awesome job! We had them tear down an old 18x18’ shed and put up a fence where it was. They had the job done in a DAY so our dogs could use the yard again right away.

They also fixed our damaged sliding and repaired and repainted our front porch and steps.

Everything looks great, the work was quality and it was all done on time and on budget. We’ll definitely be using Hammer and Nail for future projects.

We had a hard time finding someone to do the repairs we needed done. It was hard just finding a contractor that would even return our calls. It was so refreshing to work with Froilan. He communicated well, came out quickly to give us an estimate. His crew was friendly and did a great job cleaning up the work site. Online payment options made that part easy. Very reasonable price and we got exactly what we needed. Such a great experience, I highly recommend.

Froilan and his team were able to accommodate us into their schedule on short notice to stop a water leak which came from an old piece of damaged siding that had come loose. Hammer and Nails is beyond professional from the time they gave me my first quote electronically and was able to sign the contract on my phone which was very convenient. I had a bathroom repair and remodel and the first thing the owner said was I need to call my insurance, which showed me he cared and was honest (I had about 4 estimates and his was the only one that matched what my insurance co. gave me for funds).The Hammer and Nails team was extremely good, doing work I didn't know needed to be done, matching paint colors, replacing baseboards and worked with me patiently since I ordered almost everything from Wayfair. There were parts I ordered that weren't correct and he replaced pieces as needed locally with no issue. The whole job was about 3 days for 2 bathrooms. They also put paper down on all my carpet (it didn't need it because of stains from kids) but it was the small touches that mattered. I'm not at home to post pictures but I already plan on having them to 2 more bathrooms later this year and anything else that needs to be remodeled or repaired in my home. I'm so glad they were the company I chose, thank you Hammer and Nails.

Froy and his team did a great job adding a new roof over my front door, porch widened, cut out/reframed two windows into one large window, and ordered/installed the new window. Very glad I hired him.

Froilan and his team are excellent. This job cost HALF of what I was quoted by Champion Windows (never ever use champion windows). High quality provia windows and doors were used. Service was fast. They cleaned up well and were receptive to changes that I requested while the installation was on going. I'll be calling them for our next big project!

I would not hesitate to use Hammer & Nail again (in fact, I think I will!) Frolian and his team did a siding removal and replacement on my entire house and then I had them in to remove a wall and old flooring in my kitchen. I am very happy with my bathroom remodel. Hammer & Nail team of Froilan, Heiner and Melvin did an excellent job. They took down 2 walls to enlarge the bathroom and added a walk-in shower and a soaking tub. They are professionals, polite, punctual, and skillful.

Froilan, owner of Hammer and Nail LLC built our deck and screen porch in vinyl and Trex flooring. He also assisted in a 3D imaging to our HOA for approval. The professional workmanship that he provides was above our expectations. He also replaced our shower door with a 76” tall all glass pivot door, installed ceiling fans and an Anderson glass storm door. The thing I liked the most is that he was on the job daily and his crew stayed on task and kept us informed of each stage throughout the job and inspections.I would highly recommend him.

Froilan and his team were amazing! They helped remove aluminum siding on one side of my home, did a stellar repair of water and wood damage under two of the windows, installed new waterproofing, and put the aluminum siding back up. The quality of their work was excellent and it looks so great. I'll definitely be reaching out for future projects!

We had the Hammer and Nail team install our windows earlier this year on the recommendation of an acquaintance and they did an excellent job.

Froilan was thorough, professional, and transparent; we felt that we got a reasonable quote before the windows were installed and were over the moon after the job was done. Froilan's team was able to completely removed and install all eleven of the first floor windows in our home, which hadn't had new windows since the originals installed in the 40's, and they did it all in one day.

The team was efficient and respectful of our space, and communicated everything. Afterwards they cleaned up thoroughly.

Omg! My Husband and I told Mr. Valverde what we wanted which was the side porch and everything new on the out side of the home. He sent us a mockup of what is was to look like. Hammer and Nails Home Improvement installed vinyl siding on my house. They did very high quality work for a fair price. My house had rotting 36 years old Masonite. Now it is like a new house on the outside. The company did everything they said and more. Their vinyl installers were experts. My friend is a retired general contractor and he inspected the work at the end and said he considered it very well done. I cannot recommend them more. In fact they are coming back next month to replace all my windows.
