We were thoroughly impressed with all communication from Sharon and the hard work by Alex and his crew, removing two layers of shingles, replacing many sections of rotten wood, new vents, trim, flashing, ridgeline etc in a single day. They listened to my concerns and made sure everything was right in the end. Dale is also fantastic to work with from his original visit a few years ago to following up after we finally were ready to have the job done. I’ll continue to use Hardesty in the future and recommend them to my clients.

I never thought of using Hardesty Roofing for my replacement windows before but I'm glad I did recently. Much better than the big window companies I've used before! Hardesty re-roofed my house and did a great job. I had some unique flashing requirements and they were happy to work with me on these and the result was outstanding. I have a twelve year warranty with Hardesty Roofing and they honest and honored it both times with no questions asked, I have a cedar roof and I get them to clean and seal it every three or four year, first I talked with Sharon who is in the office, whom does the scheduling and then the gentleman to come out to look at the roof was Coleman and they are some terrific people to work with and I would use them again and again, Thank you Hardesty Roofing.

We had our roof replaced by Hardesty a little less than ten years ago. We noticed during a heavy storm that we had a minor roof leak in our attic. Called Hardesty and they had two very professional guys come out in a short period of time, diagnosed the problem as a nail that had backed out, found the location on the roof, sealed it and put a plate (that we can't see) over it to ensure it didn't leak again in the future.

Great company! I had a bit of a leak in my roof, and they were quick to get me on the schedule to have it looked at. The gentleman that came out was very polite and professional. He was quick to find and fix my issue (a loose pipe collar where a vent exits the roof), and went above and beyond by tightening up the others just to make sure I don't see any other problems anytime soon. I'll definitely be calling them again for any future needs.

I'm very pleased with the roof Hardesty recently put on my house. It looks great and the crew did a better job cleaning up than I expected. A week later someone came out to check the job and found one flaw that they repaired. Roof they put on my parent's house 5 years ago has also held up well.

This is a roofing company to avoid. A new roof was installed in 2018 on the house we purchased. In just over 4 years, 3 out of 4 vent pipe collars have failed, allowing water in. We are now dealing with black mold, ceiling damage, and paying a competent company to fix the mistakes made. Hardesty does not stand behind their work, and you shouldn't live under it.

I'm not even concerned about the warranty aspect. I'll take that on the chin, I should have gotten it transferred but between rent-back and moving it got away from me. We'd have been happy to pay for parts if the company would fix their mistakes. There is no reason, other than shoddy workmanship, that 3 out of 4 vent pipe collars are leaking water into our home.

You simply can't trust the work here. Find a different company.

I have used this company before on another house and they did a great job. So I had them put new roof on my other house. The workers are very competent and the cleanup was good.

I was extremely happy with the job that the company did for me. They saved me a lot of money. Their price was more than fair and each crew worker arrived on time and worked hard all day without fail.

Not a good experience. Roofers were polite and professional but they could not fix the problem with my roof after many visits. It only took one visit from another highly-rated roofer to fix my roof problem for less than half the cost that Hardesty charged for various fixes that ultimately never fixed or even helped my roofing issue. At the time my suspicions of Hardesty's poor practices or capability were confirmed by the fact that Hardesty's business rating at the time was low. I had only called them without even looking at the reviews since they were the original roofing company that my builder used.

It looks like they've been making a concerted effort to get people to leave 5 star reviews in the past couple months and hey it could be true but I would be very concerned about doing business with them again.

We used Hardesty Roofing for a roof replacement and new gutters. I found them to provide excellent work, great attention to detail and willing to go the extra mile to ensure we were satisfied with all aspects of the work.

Hardesty came out to do a small repair for me. From the start they were very professional and explained the work need to complete the repair properly. Once the crew came out, they were extremely professional and polite. They were also extremely clean. Instead of just tossing the shingles and trash off the roof, they bundled them up and carried them down (again small job 6x6 area). I could not have been happier with the work or the crew.

They were great. Got a prompt quote, with good advice. Once I was read to proceed, they got me on the schedule the next week, did the job. Billed via email. Quick, professional. Let's hope the repair keeps any future squirrels out.

Wow! My experience with Hardesty Roofing was amazing! Sam Hardesty himself came out and did the initial inspection and consultation with me to hear what I wanted and to explain step by step of what they were going to do when their crew came out. His estimate was very reasonable as well. Brittany and Sharon at the office kept in contact with me to make sure I knew exactly when they were to come out and the crew of four gentlemen worked hard for two days to get the job done and correctly!

Edit: On February 28, 2022 I received a call from the owner of this company. He had read my original review review (which was not very good) and wanted to talk to me. I reviewed the story with him. We had a very honest and polite discussion. He seems like a nice guy. He admitted that mistakes had been made, and wanted to know if there was anything that could be done. He made an offer and I accepted. People make mistakes . . . . I was impressed that he called and admitted a mistake. That is rare in these times.

Between the time I signed the commitment letter and the installation of my roof, I had a heart attack. It put my finances in a bad way. Hardesty Roofing showed their heart and worked with me by allowing me to go on a payment plan instead of demanding the entire amount when the roof was completed.

Had a wonderful experience. The owner himself came out and gave me an estimate. It was the lowest price around. The had it done in 2 days. The installers worked hard and clean up after everything.

Do not use this company if you are going through your insurance company. They do not assist you when dealing with insurance company. I had damage from the ice storm where part of my roof needed to be repaired. Hardesty did not want to repair it, but wanted to replace the whole roof. So I went ahead and replaced the roof. When I asked for a quote for the repair portion to send to the insurance company, they gave me the run around. Promised to get back to me. They NEVER responded to calls and only responded to emails after constant contact. They kept telling me the estimator would call me back and he never did. Coleman was the estimator and he seemed to not have any customer service skills at all. They also over ordered materials (at my cost) so I had a lot left over. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend as there are plenty of other respectable roofing companies.

We have a Hendricks Tile roof and the valley over the front door was clogging and leaking into the attic. Hardesty replaced the valley and repaired the tile - no more leaking. They did a great job, not too expensive. They also repaired a few other spots on our roof that were cracking. Highly recommend

Update: Company requested extra money to redo repair for the third time, they sent out a sub contractor. They showed me to holes in the area I showed them months ago. Subcontractor then completed the warranty repair. Very frustrating & challenging to get the company to repair the damage inside my house. Bottom line they only replaced drywall & paint on the ceiling & not the walls.

The entire Hardesty team, from Sam to the people in the office, to the team who did the roof install, were all great. They worked hard, did what they said they would, and were very easy to work with. I would highly recommend them.

Buyer Beware! i've had some shingles come off with recent bad weather on my roof Hardesty installed 4 years ago. when i called to get someone to come out i was told it would by three weeks! part of what they offer is this excellent warranty and if you get another roofer to do the job it is voided! and another storm is coming our way

We chose to use Hardesty because they worked with us on a possible insurance claim. Bad choice. To start the roof replacement, they showed up two days late, making numerous bogus excuses, one of which was that they wanted to cover our landscaping with plywood (leaned up against the house) to protect it. Well, they showed up at 6:30 AM without plywood, only tarps. Oh well. At 8:30 AM, we let our dogs out and one of the workers shouted down from the roof "Hey, hey! Your flowers are broken.". Unbelievable. We should have listened to our neighbors. Here's to hoping Hardesty can finish the job in a better fashion.

After having our roof replaced I asked for a copy of the warranty. They told me they would furnish me with a warranty after they received payment. After looking at the other reviews I told them they could have payment immediately, as soon as they provided the written warranty. They refused and the office manager threatened me with a lawsuit! Beware doing business with Hardesty roofing.

The staff and installers at Hardesty Construction, Inc. are top notch from A-Z! They provide excellent service and all types of roofing work at a fair price! The installers practice excellent safety whenever they are on your roof or property. Finally, they clean up in an expert manner. Without seeing your new shingles, you would never know they've been there.

The roof needing repair is one of cedar shakes on a custom-built home. It has a special look and takes special care to maintain. Hardesty Construction thoroughly cleaned the shakes, applied fungicide and preservative, and applied a water-based stain. They also replaced quite a few shakes and did some resealing of flashings and other repairs. The company was easy to work with, did a professional job, knew the appropriate repairs and processes to use for this particular roof, and completed work as weather allowed. I would call them again in a minute!

We had two skylights installed recently. The job was completed very quickly and we were very satisfied with the results!!

Bad experience with Hardesty roofing- Think twice about Hardesty roofing. New roof put on and 2 weeks later when the first rain came- water leaked into bedroom through the ceiling. When I called them to ask if they would repair the ceiling, they refused to fix it because it wasn't covered by the warranty. It was a small job too, smaller than 2'x2' repair job. would have been a cheap fix to make a happy customer. They did not care.

My roof is less than 9 years old and is already leaking and they want to charge me to fix it. If it had been installed correctly, it wouldn't be leaking already. Makes me worry about what's down the road. It was a VERY expensive roof and I'm very disappointed in them.

I contracted Hardesty Roofing to completely replace my roof with dimensional shingles. The process was great from beginning to end.

It's amazing the things people will post on the internet that are totally untrue there's a gentleman on here posting about what a bad roof you got and how the shingles are sticking up and how terrible experience it was I was one of the service techs that went to his house soon as I looked at it I figured out it was a old house with slat boards on it the roof would not lay down totally flat because he had slat boards on a older house also he decided to get the cheapest shingle on the market a 3-tab shingle instead of putting a quality dimensional roof on he was told not to do that but he did it anyway I'm sure trying to save a nickel so this is what you have now you want to complain about what your roof looks like it's like this you can spend the money and ride a Harley Davidson or you can save some money and ride a Honda enjoy the Honda

When searching for a contractor they responded to my inquiry quickly and professionally. When we decided that we would use them they kept us informed of each step of the process and responded to all of my questions promptly. I would highly recommend Hardesty!

Over the past few years, I’ve replaced quite a few roofs for my house and my rental properties with various experiences and have learned quite a few lessons along the way. Hardesty Roofing came highly recommended by my rental agent who manages over 260 rental houses and told me with her other owners, over 30 roofs were replaced by Hardesty Roofing in 2018, and all of them were extremely happy with the quality and value they’ve received. I am glad to report that I have joined Hardesty Roofing happy customers fan club!
In December 2018 I requested quotes for two shingle roofs and one flat roof from three roofing companies. Hardesty’s quotes came back in a few days as the other two dragged on for weeks. After the comparison, Hardesty Roofing was a clear winner with best price, best materials, best warranty, and best completing timeframe. To be sure, I called owner Sam Hardesty to go over the quotes in details, he went over with me on two shingle roofs and asked me to call his head master, Dustin Akers to go over the much more complex flat roof, I was sold after the discussions. Compared to what I had done before, their cost was on average 10% cheaper than what I had paid before and with better materials (life time dimensional singles vs. 3 tab shingles), 2.5 times longer warranty, and faster (shingle roof was completed in one day). I signed the contracts right after New Year, and they had completed three beautiful new roofs for me in three weeks despite the crazy weather we have had this year!
What I love about the company was they were all about doing the right things for the customers, everyone I’ve encountered was friendly, flexible, and happy. I could only contributed this to the leadership from the owner and the head master. While they were replacing the roofs, I went by to check on the progress and realized some gutters needed to be replaced and chimneys needed caps, I called the owner and head master right away and they were flexible enough to add those work in for me with very reasonable cost and still completed them within the same timeframe. To replace flat roof and gutters in my downtown apartment was a huge job which required different type of workers, on top of that, to do it in the crazy weather we just had in January seemed like an impossible mission but Dustin and his crews got it done beautifully! They’ve accomplished this with Dustin’s great project management skills and their persistent to work around incumbent weather conditions including working over weekends to achieve great quality outcomes, and to complete it within the promised timeframe. I am so pleased with their work!
I read some of the horrible reviews and was in dismay and felt injustice with the experience I have had with Hardesty Roofing. At the same time, I could easily see how it could happen and believe or not those types of mistakes happened to other roofing companies as well. As company like this one, they are constantly dealing with big volume of work concurrently, without active customer participation could easily lead into some silly mistakes. For my case, when I signed one of the contracts, I noticed the house number of the property was transposed in the contract so I asked the office to fix it before I signed it. If not, I could imagine the crew could go to the wrong house without knowing it. Also, when I visited my properties during the roof replacement, I ran into their QA person whose job was solely to inspect each job site to ensure its accuracy and the work quality. Hardesty Roofing did implement extra measurements to prevent mistakes and to ensure quality of work.
Nowadays it is so easy to amplify what’s not going well and to stay silence when things are done well. For that reason, I would like to share my positive experience with Hardesty Roofing to recognize their good work and to hope others could benefit the same good experience like mime in the future.

This company works so hard to please the customer, Chris and his staff exerts courtesy at all time and are very profession. The roofers worked hard on my roof through the snow and did a great job keeping my property cleaned up each day. The roofers were excellent and my new roof looks great.

Hardesty roofing recently replaced the roof of our large child care center (12,000 sq. ft. including gymnasium). We were extremely pleased with every aspect of their work. They scheduled us on a weekend so as not to disrupt the operation of our child care center. We were worried about the nap time for our children while hammers and nail guns banged away on the roof. Due to the size of the project, Hardesty estimated it to be a three day job. Work would begin early Saturday morning and conclude sometime Monday. The plan was to complete the classroom section of the building Saturday and Sunday and work on the gymnasium Monday. This plan suited us since children do not nap in the gym. Any noise heard at that end of the building would not interfere with the operation of our center. Hardesty amazed us by sending extra work crews and completed the entire project over the weekend. When we opened at 6:30 a.m. Monday everything looked awesome! Clean up was amazing. Every piece of scrap and loose nails had been removed from all surrounding areas. At 9:00 p.m. Sunday night, one of Hardesty’s inspectors stopped by just to make sure everything was finished and nothing would disrupt our Monday morning operation. Amazing customer service, amazing workmanship, and amazing job surpassing a job deadline! Thank you Hardesty!!

In 1998 we chose our new home with a Cedar Roof by Hardesty Roofing.. We like the rustic look of the cedar roof as well as the insulating value of the shakes. We continued the same design concept when a home addition was made in 2010. To attain integrity, these roof systems are inspected and maintained periodically. Hardesty has been our partner in maintaining our roof system these many years with great results! Our roof looks good and performs well. Thanks Hardesty, good job!

Poor follow up and communications.... I was initially very pleased with my new roof until the first rainstorm. I had one skylight replaced. Well done. I had two others I elected not to replace and they immediately began leaking. I've called a number of times and now after a number of weeks I still haven't had any repairs. I initially responded that I would even elect to have the skylights replaced. Still no response. Today the gutters were to be removed so the house can be painted by another contractor. Called last week for a verification. Was told someone from the management team would respond. I've still heard nothing and the gutter removal never happened. I have a feeling they have a lot of teams but very few working projects. Better communications would made lengthy response to service needs a little more bearable.You guys can do better than this!

I’m a slow learner. 2 painful experiences with Hardesty. First, they came to inspect reason for leak in my Florida room. Lackadaisical inspector pointed at silly possibilities for the leak. Indicated they would get back with estimate. Never came. I called and they emailed something completely vague and unrelated to issues. Second, called to get estimate on gutters “we’ll call you with a day and time”. Really?, doesn’t time need to work for both of us? BTW, never received the call back,

To busy, too elite to be responsive and focus on customer service? I assume so. Not getting my money. I suggest you work with another firm who will work harder to satisfy.

On a very tight deadline, with lots of complications during the purchase and sale of a home that needed a new roof, Hardesty came through for us with flying colors. They worked quickly and professionally at a reasonable price, and accommodated all the difficulties of the situation without a problem. We dealt with several people at the company, and each was gracious and professional, even though we were frazzled. The crew worked very hard, seemed to never take a break, and finished the new roof in two days, meeting our deadline just as Hardesty promised. And the roof looks great. I would certainly do business with Hardesty again, and will recommend them to friends.

I was in need of a roof and received many quotes. I was referred to Hardesty by a family member that had used them and some of his neighbors did as well. They were all pleased with the work performed. I have never had good luck with contractors so even after hearing a good job done by a family member I was still reluctant to use them. I can not say enough positive things about Hardesty Roofing and the job they did replacing my roof. The turn around time was extremely quick after I gave the go ahead to replace the roof. The price was extremely competitive and the job was done in one day. I was simply amazed and the roof looks fantastic. Thank you a million for a job very well done. this company is awful, please do not hire them ever. You'll end up with more damage than you previously had. They didn't finish fixing my mother's roof, tarped it up incorrectly before a rain and it poured through the room destroying irreplaceable heirlooms and thousands worth of water damage. Tried to get the owner involved and he was "too busy".

I am a real estate agent. We had a client that needed a new roof and Hardesty worked magic to fit us and on a very tight deadline that multiple closings were involved if it was not completed right away. They were able to get it on in a little over a week. They understood our deadlines and were able to fit us in. Hardesty also put my personal roof on my house and it looked wonderful. They got it done quickly, it looked great, and the prices were competitive on both jobs!

Great roof, great value too. Hardesty came highly recommended from contractor friends of min. They also came in below all others in price but also gave me a fantastic 25 year roof. People who complain about nails should understand that you will have to go through your lawn with a magnet and get the remaining nails out yourself. Took me about 15 mins. The crew did clean up as best they could, but as a homeowner with kids, I knew I wanted to make sure I got every last one. This is a dirty job and things will fly all over the place. Sam Hardesty is a man of integrity and that means a lot to me. This is a good company who will give you a great roof for a reasonable price. I have no family or financial connection with Hardesty whatsoever - just a satisfied customer.
