Hall Restoration

Needed to replace our 35 year-old double French door leading to our deck. Hall Construction sent over three guys who did excellent work. When they took the old door out, they found it had allowed water to penetrate on both corners so some of the band plate had to be replaced. And although I special ordered the door to match the original door, it wasn’t quite the same size and they figured out how to fix that issue. Dave and Kaylin installed and trimmed it out perfectly and Jason is the best painter I’ve seen in a long time. Will be using them for more renovation we want done here at the house and highly recommend them for your renovation needs.

We had water damage in our home. Hall Restoration came out quickly to appraise the damage and started the restoration work immediately. The owner was amazing to work with and the workers were top notch as well. Our home was treated like it was their own. Can't say enough about this A+ company.

Since our bathroom had water damaged by York county sewage pipe broken, we hired Hall Restoration Service for the replacement. From the owner and workers, they are very gentle, nice and professional. They did a very nice job for our bathroom from December 9th to 11th 2024. Especially we are really appreciated Mr. Michael Hall, Jr.( the owner ); Mr. Joe; the two technicians Mike and Russell , they are awesome people!

Cannot say enough great things about Chad and his team of professionals! A small pipe leak lead to a mold disaster and after wiping my tears, I called Hall and got connected to Chad. His crew worked quickly, efficiently and meticulously taking care of every single detail. Before and after pictures attached.

Christmas Day 2022 I had a pipe burst that ruined my entire first floor but didn’t ruin Christmas thanks to Hall Restoration! They had boots on the ground Christmas Day and then the many painful days that fallowed! No problem for them.. complete professionals in their trade! I would recommend to anyone in their time of need, it’s comforting to have a company makes something so disruptive in your everyday life seem so effortless!

We contacted Hall Restoration after an emergency situation in our home. A representative showed up within an hour to begin the remediation and demolition as well as the drying out process. Mike has been involved personally with every step of the renovations. We are extremely satisfied and impressed by the professionalism we have experienced. We would highly recommend this company!

My initial impression of Hall restoration was okay. However, the follow-up has been like picking thorns. February 3rd, I had an appointment for a Chad to come and look at a few concerns. Of course, Chad was late with no warning or communication. I had to call the company to ensure that my appointment wasn't spontaneously canceled. I understand companies get busy and you have to prioritize your jobs however, I was told in February, and then again in march, and then in April that I would be receiving a call for a follow-up to correct the issues. I was told the same thing in May. No one has even sent an email. Again I understand that companies get backed up because it is a busy season however I would much have preferred communication that it was not possible to do this job then to unnecessarily wait 5 months for a job to be considered. Now I do have a warranty with them however I also wanted an exhaust fan placed in my bathroom and I asked for a quote and I was willing to pay because I know their work however no estimates were sent to me and no follow-ups came from that. I do not recommend them for any type of work moving forward simply because of communication.

Mike came out again to take another look, and now they are just giving me the run around. Just go with another company. I also attached that I've called them every month this year, and the only response I get is when you post a bad review. There would have been more respect if they had just said no, we can't do this work, or we don't have time for this.

The Hall Construction experience was 5 STARS! From the PM Alan Bertrand and the crew who did the work on our home, we can’t say enough how grateful we are to have a company like this on the peninsula. They were timely, professional, kind, and above all, made sure to do the job right! They listened to our concerns and questions and addressed each one with clear communication and thoroughness. No corners were cut and the finished job was well done!

They were hired through an insurance claim on July 4. They came, put holes in our ceiling and ripped up the carpet and then drug their feet to make repairs. Ceiling was fixed last week. Still haven’t heard back about our carpet after they came, measured and said they would provide a quote by last Tuesday. Seems like once they know the insurance company has cut the check you move to the last person on their priority list. For context, it’s Sept 4. My husband and I had to call countless times just to get them to submit quotes to the insurance so we could begin the process.

This review is in regards to Eddie and Gene Dease. These are the finest two painters that my wife and I have ever used. They are always on time and keep the work area incredibly clean. They are also great to have around. We would recommend them to anyone.

I recently had water damage at my home and called Hall Restoration for help. They made the whole process seamless from beginning to end! They responded quick and came out immediately to put equipment out and tear out all the wet damaged areas. The communication was top notch, the office staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the crews that came out were respectful and professional. I would most definitely hire them again!

I called Hall Restoration after my home had a bad flood when my hot water heater burst and I just want to say Sarah was just so delightful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately I’m out of their service area but if their quality of work is anything like their customer service I’d recommend them to everyone!

This was a very stressful situation that Hall Construction made less stressful for me. Mike, and the project manager Toby, The office ladies were all polite and helpful. All of the crews that came out were highly qualified and did a great job and cleaned up. I recommend this company highly.

Great company to work with. Profesional and courteous. Did a fantastic job replacing my water damaged wood ceiling. The workman have pride in their work, not something you see often these days. They did fantastic work on a difficult repair. Friendly, kind, respectful and clean. Mike and Melissa are a joy to work with . Highly recommend this company.

Beware!!! My experience with this company has been horrendous. I had some water damage and this company has a contract with my home insurance company. This company has exemplified poor customer service. There have been countless times of poor or lack of communication in regards to coming out for repairs. It took them about 4 weeks to schedule me an appointment and the whole repair process took an additional two months to repair a small patch of drywall and install flooring in my small laundry room. I have reached out numerous times for updates and no response. It appears they have way too many projects and not enough people. They are extremely disorganized from the front office to the contractors themselves. I do not recommend this company.

Contracted with Hall Construction for a bathroom remodeling due to a water leak. Two months have gone by. The biggest accomplishment so far, bathroom torn out, new plumbing installed, and a new window. So far, something has been done about every two to two and a half weeks. No we wait. I think I’m going to “fire” them and finish on my own.

A 6' x 6' section of my living room ceiling fell suddenly because of a malfunctioning drip pan under the air conditioner air handler overhead in the attic. Hall Construction came to assess the damage. Rapid Dry came to measure the moisture in the wall. The repair work couldn't begin until the wall dried out. Rapid Dry (Billy Watkins) came every day to take a reading of the moisture in the wall. Hall Construction sent a team of people (3 the first day) to begin removing the wet insulation around the edges of the large hole and enlarged it to get a smooth edge. The men worked all day and put a large canvas drop cloth over the entire carpet and sealed off the doorways with plastic sheets. The next day 2 more men came to put in new insulation, drywall and plaster (with a swirled pattern). They did an excellent job. Beautiful job with the swirled plaster.
Had to wait a few days for the plaster to dry. Then the painters came and put on a plaster primer and a coat of paint. The painters taped up around the window frames and baseboards. The room looks beautiful and I'm more than pleased with the repair work these guys did. Cannot tell there was ever a large hole in the ceiling. All the Hall workers were on time everyday, worked hard, did professional work, were polite and cleaned up everyday before they left. Thank you, Mike, Billie, Kirt, Gene, Eddie and others, you are my heroes.

Great company if I say so my self !! Couple of these reviews have to be false the bad ones Atleast ! These people are Working hard to get lots of homes back I order after a fire or water damage !

I should have known better based upon the reviews but I wanted to give them a change as I know how one or two bad reviews can damage a company rating. I am a very busy person and didn't have the time to look for a contractor but took a recommendation from my insurance company A MISTAKE OF MY OWN! So my issue started January 24 with a neighbors water heater busting and it poured into my unit. Hall called and scheduled to come and look at damage for an estimate January 31 between 8:00am to 9:00am...at 8:45am I called to the company to confirm how long it would take to complete the review of the damage and to confirm they were still coming to be told I was not on the schedule and they could reschedule me... I advised I had closed my own business to get this done and some how someone was able to arrive in 15 minutes..however at that time I was told that I got double booked with another client. Estimate was completed quite fast and it seemed to be in great detail however that is not the case at all as I discovered later on. So about a week goes by and I hear nothing from my insurance company nor Hall in reference to their estimate finally February 11 my estimate is loaded into the Allstate database and I do not receive a contract to sign until February 19 of which I sign February 20. I do not receive any more communication until Mar 2 stating they are ready to schedule and get payment of my deductible. Mar 3 I called them back providing them with my payment information and discussed the repairs and any concerns I had.. Jennifer the front desk has a nasty attitude and keeps placing me on hold with my questions so she then connects me to Chad he answered my concerns and I thought we were both on the same page with the scheduling and the days need to complete repairs as I will have to close my own business (cannot have days scheduled in a row) Mar 12 my first day a repairs dry wall only should only take 1/2 day but when the worker arrives I am told that a painter is coming in as well but we were not supposed to have painting done as drywall needs to dry per Chad and that is scheduled for Mar 16 to allow drywall to dry. Well Mar 16 never comes because when I called Mar 12 to ask questions about repairs and concerns of mold spreading to my unit as the neighbor has not done any type of repairs or had any contractors out I was advised that I would need to contact my insurance company so I did to be informed they were pulling out of the contract and were not going to finish the work because I am not allowing them the time to complete...NO HALL DON'T LIKE TO BE QUESTIONED AND THEY LIKE TO TELL PEOPLE HOW IT IS GOING TO BE FORGET ABOUT WHAT WAS SCHEDULED. So now Hall got paid $500 but did not complete $500 in repairs my insurance company stated Hall was going to refund that to me and my insurance company would have the deductible handled in other ways. I waited and waited for the refund from Hall Mar 24 comes almost two weeks after they said they backed out of the contract I see another charge for $500 so they have now charged me $1000...NO CALL NOTHING AT ALL Now we are dealing with COVID-19 and I am on the phone with my card for 5 hours stopping payments putting in disputes and finally got my $1000 back.... BEWARE THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!! And now I can not find a contractor whom will pick up the repairs because Hall started the work now I have to do the work myself. Still do not have my house repairs done to this day but hopefully soon as everything has been delayed because of this TERRIBLE COMPANY.

I can not recommend this company highly enough! The galvanized water (drain) pipe under my kitchen sink rusted out over time and could not be repaired by a plumber until he could gain access. The damage was extensive... there was mold in the wall surrounding the pipe, mold under the house, and four joists under the house rotting from water damage. I was unable to use my sink, dishwasher, or garbage disposal. Mike Hall came over within a day or two of my call and did a thorough review of all of the damage, including crawling under the house. He explained everything to me clearly and professionally, and discussed various options regarding removing/replacing my cabinets to allow access to the pipe (I have an older house which presented some problems). His crew was sent out quickly and the workmen were very thorough in their examination of the cabinetry design in order to try to save as much of it as possible. They did a fantastic job, and I couldn’t have asked for better results (and my cabinets were all saved!). They also treated the mold areas and sistered the joists. It was a pleasure to work with such polite, thorough professionals. They cleaned up beautifully when the job was finished and already set a date to return to reinstall the cabinets after the pipe was repaired. I am so relieved and grateful to have had such an overwhelming (to me!) repair done so quickly and competently. I will DEFINITELY use them again for any home repairs I may need and highly recommend them without hesitation!

Hall Construction came out to my home to fix my bathroom fan and ceiling. They were right on schedule, took their shoes off before entering my home, put down a tarp so as not to mess up my floor and when they were finished they vacuumed and cleaned up perfectly. They did an excellent job. My ceiling looks beautiful. I would recommend Hall Construction to everyone. Thanks again, Chad!!

I have had quite a few experiences with this team of professionals over the years. I am continuously impressed with their performance on all levels. An accountable, hard working, trustworthy and reputable company. A FIVE STAR rating, well deserved.

Absolutely the most dishonest contractors on the planet. You've been warned. These people are sloppy, disrespectful liars. They should not be in business and should have their licensed revoked. If you have Allstate insurance or another homeowner's insurance company and they recommend Hall, RUN AWAY. You've been warned. I've never experienced a more horrific encounter with a company. Oh, and they're rude. STAY FAR AWAY for your own good and your sanity.

Very poor service. They came in to fix water damage and it took them over a month to get the work done then the didn't even clean up the mess they left in the bathroom. Poor service at the best. I call the office about the mess and was told they would have some one come out, I got a call a month later asking when would be a good day for them to come. I'm sorry it takes a month to get you out here to clean up, I have already done it. I will never use this company again and will tell others not to also. I still have the lock box the put on the door in mid December guess they will get around to getting that one day. They got paid good also, it was an insurance claim.
