DO NOT WORK WITH!!!! THIEF!!! We paid Ben 12,000$ back in March to start our project, he lied to me throughout the entire summer and about why he had to keep pushing our job out. Even though he consistently told me he has never screwed anybody over, we decided to cancel our contract with him in September. He told us he would pay us back and then has completely ghosted us. We are now seeing he is doing this to people in September of this year also which means he is still conning people out of thousands of dollars. He literally told us he would not put anything in text or writing in case we decided to sue him. Like maybe he’s done this before. He is a liar and a fraud. DO NOT WORK WITH HIM!!!
READ BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING WITH GREYSTONE: This has been an absolute nightmare working with our first contractor Ben / Greystone Exteriors LLC as we work to remodel our house. Our roof was the first project and we happily signed with Ben after seeing such glowing reviews and after being pretty much ghosted by Ben, I just can’t imagine that they’re all real reviews. We overnighted a check 4 months ago and was told that we’d have a new roof 6 weeks from signing the contract. Ben has never made one attempt to reach out to us, except after we threatened a lawsuit. He told us that he scheduled our roof to be installed last week. Didn’t show, didn’t call. Still no roof. We have been very patient as he has given us 6 or 7 different reasons as to why we keep getting delayed but at this point, we just simply can’t trust him, he’s taken over 12k and hasnt produced a single receipt after months of trying to get on some schedule. Writing bad reviews is literally one of one last attempts and trying to get Ben to call us back, give us our money back or do what he said and give us a roof, but at this point, there is no trust for him or his company.
Edit: I forgot to mention that he asks for a 5 star review when you sign the contract, even before doing any work.
Edit: Ben has agreed to cancel the contract after 5 months of waiting and us literally having no other choice but to find another roofer to get our roof done before rain season comes in. Since the call where we mutually agreed it best to separate ways, Ben stated he would send us a check. This call was on August 24th. Since then he has not responded to a single text or phone call. He’s literally ghosted us. DO NOT WORK WITH HIM. I believe this is considered fraud. Contacting General Attorneys office, L&I, BBB.
Edit: It is now Mid November, he has changed his address on BBB, effectively pulling down the site for his company, and changed his address per the General Attorneys office. You can now find additional complaints of FRAUD. We’ve still not received our refund and he is continuing to meet with people Even now and taking money. DO NOT SIGN WITH HIM.
Benjamin was so professional and easy to work with. He gave us great advice and answered all our questions about the roof remodel we need. Hes quick to get things done and even answered my call one time on a Saturday night when I was expecting a voice-mail. Would recommend him to anyone.
