Grace Exteriors

As with other reviews, perhaps this was a different company years ago. As of today, this company cannot be trusted to complete any work. We signed a contract in December 2021 for nearly $50,000 worth of work (roof, gutter and soffits, new deck and a screened in porch), paying 50% down in cash. As of today, they have not started any work and have provided no reliable information on when they will start. We have endured every excuse, lie, half-truth, and missed commitment you can imagine. They originally committed to start the work in August of 2022 and are now stating that they may be able to start the work in April of 2023. They will not answer the phone when you call, and they will never put anything in writing. The only statement that they make is ”we have a signed contract to do your work and we intend to complete it”. We are fed up and are pursuing other contractors for the work despite having already paid 50%. We have no drawings, no proof of material purchase, no communication on backlog and work in front of us and no confidence this project will ever be started, let alone finished. Based on our experience, I do not believe these people can be trusted to complete their obligations.

Just because they have a good rating with the BBB dont count on that. They don't even consider the complaints,which I did not know. After spending $6,000.00 on eight windows,we have found out they did not put any insulation around the new windows. We put them in for efficiency not beauty. Have sent letters and pictures to the BBB and of course Grace's has not responded. So now our only option is to pull all the inside trim off and insulate it ourselves. That in turn messes up the walls because they are plaster. That will lead to having to repaint every room because I dont have spare paint. We have to spend more on insulation,caulking paster,paint,etc.They very well knew why we wanted new windows. The first time I cleaned the window in the living room,a piece fell off. There is also a gap in the top off kitchen window..We are seniors so it is really hard. I wish we would have never used them. So shame on them for treating old people like that. Be very careful if you use this company. I wouldn't trust them to do anything.

Grace Exteriors – what nightmare. We have been without a deck for 15 months. We paid Grace Exteriors $17,500 and they removed our deck in Sept. 2021. The whole year of 2022 has been a series of mistakes, miscommunication, half-truths or outright lies, and promises broken.
They did start to build the deck about a month ago, in Dec. 2022, and I thought, “Whew, we are finally done dealing with this!” But no – now Grace Exteriors left the deck less than half done and they are trying to extort more money from us to finish the deck!
I wish I had filed a complaint earlier on them, but I just kept believing their promises.
