Gouge really is a quality contractor. They communicated when they were coming to look at the roof, told us who would be coming, called when they were on the way to do the repairs, on the scheduled date. The repair work was done well and for a fair price. We would 100% recommend them for your roofing needs. Excellent experience with a great company!

Needed a leak fixed. Not the best time to have it done with the weather like it's being. Quote was done within days and accepted. I'd seen their signs around-even next door, so asked my neighbors for their experience, the words were glowing. But, my cousin's home was in Springfield, Ohio.

Gouge said they'd service our location. It was needing repair due to storm damage to roofing tiles and time damage (built 1962). They were patient with insurance and a ridiculous reverse mortgage company. Their concern for doing job right added value to the home now under contract.

This is wordy, I know, but the challenges were many and their empathy and quality standards were greatly appreciated. And, have paid off.

I met with Matt Notestone (salesman for Gouge Quality Roofing) to get an estimate on our roofs. He was very professional & went over every detail of what they would do. Having been in & around the trades for over 40 years I knew what he was telling me was the correct way to do the roofs. He sent me a 27 page detailed portfolio of the Gouge company, their warranty, pictures of our roofs (I keep saying roofs because our detached garage is as big as our house) detailed list of what they will do (including on site continuous inspections by their foreman) shingle colors & manufacturer warranty, cleanness of the site & detailed costs. Needless to say they did everything exactly as he said they would. The cost was exactly as quoted. They did both buildings in 8 hrs & left our place clean of debris & nails. I wish I could give them more than 5 ⭐️’s. Great job Gouge Quality Roofing. One very satisfied customer!!!

I 100% recommend Gouge Quality Roofing. My neighbors shed burned down and damaged my siding. I had another contractor come out and they gave me bad advice on dealing with the insurance. Gouge came out and gave me a very reasonable quote. They ordered the siding and in no time at all were out to replace it. They got the job done in 1 day and left a perfectly clean job site. Overall I am extremely satisfied with my experience with Gouge Quality Roofing. They do an amazing job of communicating up to, during, and after the installation. We recently had a leak on a drain pipe from under our rubber roof. Our roof was installed originally by Gouge Roofing about 10 years ago. We had them come out to inspect everything and figured out it was not an issue with the roof itself but the top of the drain pipe that meets the rubber roof from the underneath side. Although this was a plumbing issue and not an issue related to the roof install, Caleb was kind enough to take the time and seal the drain pipe to help us prevent any further leaks. He also inspected the rest of the roof and all seams to make sure the rest of the roof was in good condition. Thanks so much for taking care of us!

I had a new roof installed by Gouge Roofing in December. They installed the entire roof in only two days and worked on the weekend. The owner Caleb actually came to my house to do a post inspection. He noticed a couple areas that he felt were not to his company's standards and had his team come back out to remedy the problems. This was at no extra cost to me. He even decided to upgrade our house to a better fascia metal then what was initially installed. I trusted Gouge Roofing with my project and at the end, I was not disappointed. They have another satisfied customer to add to their books.

This was a difficult job that blindsided me late in the year with bad weather and extreme cold. So, Gouge had to wait for better weather which we got, albeit briefly, and they completed the job after a ten hour day. Alejandro is an excellent representative of this company. His team did not speak English but we got through that. They were thorough and professional. We still found a few nails but overall I would rate their performance and cleanup as excellent!

They did a great job. The old roof was removed and the new roof was installed in two days. The crew left everything nice and tidy. Jeff did a great job of explaining everything to us.

We recently had Gouge Quality Roofing replace our roof and they did a fantastic job. We had hail and storm damage and they were able to handle it very quickly to set up a date for it and had it completed with tear off and new roof in a day. We were highly impressed. They did a great job. Only problem I had was getting help filling the paperwork to get work paid by my insurance company. I was told this is how we do it and cannot do it another way. I ended up not getting the extra damage paid and it cost me almost another $800 out of my pocket. I would use them again only if my insurance company is not involved. I think this is part of good customer service. The office was difficult!

I went through several different roofing companies before I found Gouge. The others were high pressure and talking a lot of nonsense, not really listening to me. One was only interested in my insurance payout as he said it was storm damage. Gouge was the first and only company that came out and actually listened to me and looked in my attic to see where it was leaking! I decided to go with Gouge after checking over the quote with my son, who works with a roofing company in CA. He said "mom, go with these guys. Their estimate looks right on, and they are using the best products on the market!" They came out as soon as the weather cooperated and had my old roof off and new roof on in 1 day. No worries that if it rained I would have more leaks. I now know I have a quality product on my roof. Also had new gutters and leaf guards put on my house. They had to wait till the weather warmed up a bit, but as soon as it was possible they were out here. Again all done in one day, larger, seamless gutters and leaf guards. And they never left a mess behind for me to clean up! Would I use them again! Yes, I even have them on speed dial!

If you want a roof done correctly with superior materials and workmanship to all other roofing companies, look no where else. The owner was very informative and walked us through and showed us every material they use including the underlayment which is superior to what your average roofing company uses. Also the installers were very informative. The foreman stopped what he was doing to answer any question I had and explain the work. I'm very happy with everything from the look of my roof, the warranty, the 10 skylights that were installed and how quickly the owner is to address anything! I could go on, but confidently feel this roof will serve my family well after I'm retired. I don't think I will ever use another roofing company after dealing with Gouge Quality Roofing.

The team at Gouge are amazing. I spent 4months getting quotes and comparing notes. They were happy to explain every bit of the process and while they were not the lowest bid I took a chance with them and couldn't be happier with the results on the metal roof (Standing Seam) they did on our farm house. Let me start off by saying we are over 6 months in from our roof install. I am a consumer that asks a lot of questions. Why? Well when you do not know something, in order to learn you ask questions. From the owner Caleb to the foreman on the job they put on their educator hat to help me learn more about the whole process. This was our first home and we were surprised with having to install a new roof. Unfortunately for the past owners of our home the previous roof install was done horribly and that company clearly took advantage of the previous owners. This is not the case with Gouge QR. Their craftsmanship, their attention to detail and their responsiveness to their customers is unlike any other in their field. I can not say it enough. Gouge quality roofing is who you need to call if you need roofing work done. They will show up. They will be on the high side for price but it is WORTH every penny. If there is an issue after their install. They warranty their work and they will not stop until any boo boo is fixed. Yes there was an issue after the roof install for our job. Yet they were out here within weeks to fix the install of the skylight. Which was due to a manufacturing problem. Not craftsmanship. Don't call your cousin's friend to come install your roof. Call Gouge and have it done right. I fully support this company.

Had wind damage due to tornado on my siding and different areas of soffit. Roof inspection turned out good. Gouge Roofing had replaced it about 9 or 10 years ago. Excellent response. Very well pleased on the repairs. I would say the repair areas are better than before the damage.

I'm never one to post reviews but, I think the service, honesty, hard work and professionalism provided by Gouge Quality Roofing needs to be acknowledged and shared with anyone who is considering any type of roofing repair or replacement. I contacted other companies and not one met their standards. I was intially rejected by my insurance provider when their inspection didn't warrant a replacement due to wind damage. I forged ahead with Jeff's top notch inspection and I'm so thankful I did. As a real estate agent, I often need a roofer for my clients’ homes. Gouge Roofing is always on the top of my list. Gouge has done a number of inspections and repairs for my clients and one complete install that I know of. All my clients loved Gouge’s professionalism and quality of work and were very satisfied with the company’s responsiveness and personal attention. We also had Caleb come and do a ‘once over’ on our personal home’s metal roof and tighten up and repair some areas that had been installed incorrectly. We appreciated the fact that even though our current roof isn’t ‘perfect’ he didn’t push us to install a new one. When the day comes that we DO need a new roof, Gouge will be on the top of the list!

Gouge quality roofing helped me with 3 roofs over the last 4-5 years. We have had storm damage on 3 occasions. They were professional, very thorough, efficient and fast in all instances! Jeff Bly (sales) put together a storm damage/roof repair package that turned out very well. Part of the repair was due to storm damage that was covered by insurance whereas the other part was wear and tear that I paid for out-of-pocket. Jeff was able to separate them properly and put together a quote that pleased the insurance company (Celina). A small, purely aesthetic part of the repair was left unfinished when I got home due to confusion yet Jeff and the technician responded quickly and wrapped it up just as quick.

Gouge Roofing has done several full roof replacement projects in addition to many smaller repair and inspection jobs for my company and always done a fantastic job. I would not hesitate to recommend Caleb and his crew to anyone.

Gouge had a large group of specialized workers. All workers had their assigned work. There was very little unnecessary talk or joking. The crew encountered more rotten wood than anticipated. The rotten wood was removed and replaced to my satisfaction.

Very profesional from the initial roof inspection until the final job was completed. I initially called for a free roof inspection as i had already had 3 and was told by all 3 "your roof needs replaced ASAP" when Gouge Roofing came out they were completely honest and told me my roof could wait one more year with no problems. The guy who did my inspection (John Lamb) took his time and explained everything and even took pictures while inspecting. He went over the Owens Corning 50yr Duration shingles they use and showed me samples as well as explained in detail the installation process and warranty. He had an estimate made up for me and said "just get ahold of us when you are ready"
This year i called and told them i was ready and they informed me due to covid the supply costs had increased slightly which was understandable, my estimate only increased a small amount. They set up a date and time about a month in advance and when the date neared the weather was calling for rain and Gouge assured me they would not tear off my roof in the rain so they rescheduled for the following week. They were there at 7am and the entire day worked their butts off to say the least. Our roof was completed including new roof on garage and new ridge vents on house and garage.

Of the several contractors that I interviewed for an enhanced siding/insulation/gutters installation, Caleb Gouge and company presented and performed measurably above every competitor. Amid lingering snow, ice and more, company personnel surveyed our home, listened carefully to our specific and demanding requirements, and said this: "We can do exactly what you want." Not only did they tailor the work to some specific little things, but with excellent workmanship and a still reasonable price. Of course there were a few problems. Like a top notch organization should, they regrouped, bounced back and got it done. We are pleased, satisfied, and will give hearty recommendation to any who seek the affordable best in the area.

The process of getting the contractor to make good was rough, and I must withdraw my Goodwill recommendation. Before you sign and pay on your contract, be sure to have clarity on how such workmanship issues will be handled. I supplied clear photo documentation of their mistakes, and was all but shown the door. Very displeased.
