We recently used Gordon Construction co on a major renovation of our home, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The project included extensive work: drywall installation in the kitchen and dining areas, new flooring throughout the house, custom kitchen cabinets, interior painting, and a range of electrical work.

From the start, the team( Chris, Alex, Josh, and rest of the team) was professional, communicative, and committed to quality. Their attention to detail was evident in every phase from precise drywall finishing to the flawless cabinet installation and paintwork.

The electricians were efficient and knowledgeable, ensuring everything was up to code and exactly where we needed it.

The entire crew was respectful of our home, always punctual, and easy to work with. They stayed on schedule and kept us informed every step of the way.

We’re incredibly happy with the transformation and would highly recommend Gordon Construction to anyone looking for reliable, skilled professionals for home renovation or construction projects.

I had a hose burst in my kitchen and my insurance recommended Gordon amongst their list of compatible companies. I am so grateful to you guys! They got here incredibly fast, immediately started the remediation process which was well done and thorough over 3 days. They immediately came the following day after remediation and their crews began repairing and restoring my kitchen. They rebuild the base and floor of my cabinetry, installed new flooring, repaired drywall in the carport below and painted. You guys came quickly, did the work fast and did the work well at such a high quality. I am incredibly grateful to you guys. I have never had an experience like this before with a burst and you guys made what could have been a nightmare into a breeze. Thank you for all the communication and care you put into this. We were very pleased with the work done and it was done by professionals. Over all as good an experience as you can have when it’s an unplanned emergency. I was particularly impressed with the professionalism of the workers.

Came to tarp roof was on roof for about an hour for insurance company and covered a 3ft square. They showed a few days later out of blue to repair never knocked on door just went to work. That night it rained hard and still leaked in bathroom as bad or worse. The insurance company still paid them for repaired I can't believe that. They will never get my busy becareful.

If you need any restoration work, we highly recommend Gordon Construction of Mt. Juliet. The workmen were professional, prompt and highly skilled. We all worked together with our schedule and theirs for a seamless experience. A special “shout out” to Shawn Combs for his supervision in keeping the project running smoothly.

Get all communication in writing. Do not accept Verbal. I should know this at my age, but sometimes you can get too comfortable in thinking things will work out without the corporate paperwork.

We used them because they are on the farm bureau list of contractors when we had storm damage. They have done business with them for decades. They are also a GC (general contractor) so when possible needing multiple trades made sense vs me dealing with insurance over claims from multiple. I wanted a turn key approach to the claim so it made sense. that is where it stopped.

details: my driveway was damaged by their tree sub contractor by dragging a trailer and not stopping on aggerate and using heavy equipment and scrapping the driveway. (we have it on nest)

The end result : we had to agree to a check being written for damage vs having it fixed for us. (concrete is expensive) I am unable to get a concrete company to come out for "repair" apparently all just want to wait and lay new pads. I find it odd a GC can not get a concrete person to come out to repair and this was put on the homeowners responsibility. The amount will likely not fix it . offer was re negotiated multiple times. We ended up just taking what money we could and drop it vs taking it to claims court.

What I would have liked to happen was Gordon take responsibility for the damage and fix it without my heavy involvement.

Insurance company made sure the check was a fair amount for Gordon and it did go up in $ after initial estimate.

Gordon Construction did excellent work repairing a door frame and painting. Looks like new!! Very professional. I would highly recommend their services.

A company that stands behind its name. Great people and trustworthy. Did what they said they would do. Always what you need in a construction company.

Gordon came highly recommended by referral.

They "may" do good work, but should NOT be used if timeliness is needed.

Called Gordon Monday 440pm, after hours so left message.

Gordon called by 8am or so Tuesday, said tech would call to schedule appt time.

Had to call BACK Tuesday afternoon, more than 4hrs without any meaningful contact, to ask when tech was going to call.

Tech called and appt Wednesday afternoon. Fine.

Tech came as promised. No problem there.

Friday afternoon still NO estimate for my insurance company. Not fine.

Words directly from operators mouth, "all of our guys have other jobs so 2 days for an estimate is good turnaround time for us. You will not find better."

I informed the main office person that my only other experience was with servpro and they had same starting point of Monday at 440pm and I had an written estimate by Tuesday night.

Also when I called them to share my disappointment in them, calmly at first, they shrugged me off flippantly as a customer as if I had no right to even provide feedback, I was so taken back by this experience.

I am not one to prefer marketed names over local shops but dang, bad experience with no remorse from Gordon at all.

The contractor from Gordon did a good job the day of the storm, but then told me my estimate would be turned in to my insurance company in a few days. When I contacted him several times to check on progress he gave me excuses. Finally, six weeks later when I pressed him for a repair date because one of the issues was a hole in my roof and ceiling from a tree branch, he told me they could do the repairs six to seven weeks later and that because I was so nice and didn't yell at him he pushed my repairs to the end of the list and did the work for the people who yelled at him first. He actually said, "the squeaky wheel gets the grease." I fired this company and will never use them again.

I was very impressed with the speed of Gordon Construction Co. I called on a rainy wet Friday and they had someone there to tarp my chimney before dark.

Gordon Construction knows middle Tennessee contracting. They have tons of resources for any and all occasions. When bad things happen to your home--you want professionals to get to work on it quickly, efficiently, and on budget....Gordon Const would not have been in business 37 years if they didn't do all three everytime. Also, as a Realtor, they can get out to handle punch list items or repairs that are mandated during the transaction too. I call them all the time.
