We had a 2,850 sqft roof put on by Gonzales and Sons in 2020. It has leaked at least once every year since. Our newest leak came this past weekend. Virtually any time we get a decent bit of moisture our roof leaks, we call and fight to have them honor warranty, and then are left with the cost of repairing dry wall and paint from water damage.

We have only had Gonzales and Sons roof four years but now are left feeling like this cycle will continue unless we just eat the cost and buy a new roof.

Several contractors wanted me to install a new roof. Devin of Gonzales & Sons, said my roof just needed to be maintained. No ponding, good slope. Much smaller job to just do maintenance than an entire new roof. This small job was promptly scheduled, done on time and well. When I do need a new roof, the only call I will make is to Gonzales & Sons!

Called to schedule an estimate and the receptionist was able to schedule one about two weeks out. No problem here. The time came and went for the estimate with no phone call or message or anything notifying me they were running late or not going to show. Then I hear a knock on my door about an hour and a half after the scheduled time while me and my family are in the middle of dinner, with this man who didn’t introduce himself giving me some excuse that he had a job in Santa Fe and that’s why he was running late. “Ever heard of a phone call?”, I was thinking. I allowed him to take a look at my roof anyway, because everyone makes mistakes, forgive and forget and all that. He said he’d email me an estimate later that night and still waiting for it the next day. Needless to say I won’t be going with this company. If they're this unprofessional with how they handle initial estimates it scares me to think what mistakes they’ll make or corners they’ll cut with my roof. No thanks. Not impressed.

We used Gonzales to replace our entire roof that was 30 years old. Devon was our project manager and he was outstanding and hyper responsive. Just a good guy to work with. The crews were professionals and cleared the yard and our neighbors of debris before leaving every day. Couldn’t be happier with my choice.

Mark and Elijah are both very professional talking to me over the phone. I had a hard time finding the roofers who are willing to work with a tile roof. I was shocked to hear they would not mind driving 4 hr to come from Albuquerque to Roswell for the estimate for an average residential roof for no charge. Elijah came all the way to Roswell to inspect and give me the quote on tile roof repairs.

I live in a rental and the management company chose Gonzales and Sons Roofing, Inc to fix the ever leaking roof. To be real: it was loud and dusty and rust kept falling from all the inside vents. But in three days they replaced the roof of a 26 unit apartment complex AND THEN they came back and cleaned our porches and walkways and parking lot. My Xfin line was cut and Mark from Gonzales called me immediately to remediate that situation. Did they fix the roof? I'll let you know when it next rains or snows. I wrote this review to highlight their professionalism. Stuff happens, mistakes are made and it is refreshing to see a business take responsibility for their employees and the mess that is made during construction projects. The roofers did great work. They replaced a leaking roof vent and showed me pictures so I could see the problem firsthand. The entire roof of the house addition also needed to be replaced. They were very polite and cleaned up all of the mess. Competitive price. Highly recommend Gonzalez and Sons Roofing!

Gonzalez and Sons Roofing performed a total tear-off and installation of a new roof all in one day! They even did an excellent job of cleaning up before they left. Great price and one on one confidence. The guys worked relatively fast. Got it done in like 2 days (mostly). After I went up on my roof, I wasn't really happy with some things (my AC stand), and attention to detail was lacking. But overall, I'm happy and I would recommend them over the competition. I had 4 companies give me bids and this company won. Plus even with the issues that made it less than 5 stars, I would use them again.

Awesome work by the team and the process from estimating to completion of work was quicker than I expected. We had flat roof repair required and Issac explained everything clearly and even informed us of extra costs if something was found in the tear down of the old roof. I have decided not to use this contractor because Invigorate offered just a good of a deal and they have sales people who will listen to their customers. This company did come up with a good offer but did not answer my questions upfront. I wish this company well and thank them for their bid. But, I would not recommend them.

After contacting at least 4 roofing companies here in Santa Fe, New Mexico and finding them way to expensive I was fortunate to try Gonzales and Sons Roofing located in Albuquerque. Two roofers I had tried set up appointments with me to come out and provide a quote. They did not show up or even call me at all. The other two I found out after getting a quote from Devin, who came out from Gonzales and Sons Roofing in Albuquerque, had provided quotes that were almost twice as much as the quote from Devin! He was on time for the appointment I scheduled with him and it took him literally minutes to climb on the roof and arrive at a quote I almost could not believe. He also said he would send out a crew that was very experienced and that they would finish most likely in two days to replace my roof. This was hard to believe as well but sure enough, it happened! A first crew came out on the scheduled day and removed the old roof pretty quickly and despite all the old roof tar, papering and gravel they removed, they left my yard and home nice and clean. The next crew that came out was just as efficient and clean and like Devin had told me, they did a great and quick job of installing my new roof and also left my yard and home very clean. It was amazing. Everything happened just like Devin said it would and I was not only impressed but very pleased with the results. Another thing that occurred was that the mailman failed to take a check I had arranged with Devin to mail in. I contacted Devin and he told me no problem, he would come out in a few days to pick up the check. Basically, I had a new roof completely installed and had not paid a cent yet but Devin's customer service skill allowed me to not worry and sure enough he showed up as he said he would to pick up the check with a smile and as previously told me to contact him for any reason. He was so responsive and accommodating. I just cannot say enough about my experience with Gonzales and Sons Roofing. I highly recommend anyone in Santa Fe needing a roof to save themselves considerable money by calling Gonzales and Sons Roofing. My review is long and wordy but it is because my experience has been that not often does one have this kind of experience these days with any company. Isaac and his team are very responsive, professional, and clean. We were pleased with the response time in providing us with a new roof, as other companies were weeks out on their scheduling. We had a lot of questions since we have never replaced our roof before and Isaac provided the answers almost immediately. Isaac also offered to replace our skylights and made other recommendations we did not even think about, being we have a flat roof. When the crew arrived, they were very friendly and provided us a timeframe of how long they would be working on our roof for the day. They were very efficient and made sure they did not leave any debris behind. Had Gonzales and sons replace our roof two years ago. It has been nothing but problems since we have had 3 leaks do to roof nails being outside shingle coverage. The gutter guy showed up two days late with no call just showed up randomly with an attitude raising his voice to my wife when asked why he didn’t show up when he was scheduled. Now that we are selling they say they have no record of doing the work. I don’t blame them I wouldn’t want my name on anything they did either. It has been two weeks and no call back!

I recently hired Gonzales and Sons to replace my flat roof. I was very impressed by Isaac's responsiveness as well as by the hard-working crew he manages. I had multiple questions about how some of my roof issues would be addressed, all of which Isaac answered promptly and professionally. As an added bonus, he was able to schedule the job within a week of my call, and the project was completed on time. Isaac also sent me a drone photo of the final results and everything looked really good. I went with white TPO and feel like this is going to serve me well, along with the other modifications the team implemented. I was also very impressed by Celina's responsiveness. She was always willing to answer my questions and coordinate with the crew. I'd definitely recommend this company to those needing roof repair or replacement!

I highly recommend Gonzales & Sons Roofing. I needed a new roof (have been putting it off for some time now) and the receptionist Celina and Isaac the master roofer were professional, knowledgeable, gave me quotes and advice on which type of roof I should have installed. They have a professional, no pressure polite approach. The communication was excellent which was extremely important to me because I was out of state for work. Again they are master roofers. We had a new metal roof installed by Gonzales and Sons Roofing. They have been a pleasure to work with throughout the process. Their customer service is excellent. Any issues we had were addressed immediately. The finished roof is beautiful and the craftmanship was excellent. This was our first re-roofing experience and I cannot offer enough praise for Gonzales and Sons Roofing for their professionalism, excellent quality work, and very responsive nature to all my detailed questions. We replaced our 30 yo tar and gravel roof with the new tech TPO membrane. Finding a company that specializes in installing this new technology is critical for long-term satisfaction and Gonzales and Sons definitely has the knowledge and skill to manage this new technology. Installation was perfect, all seams and connections were secure and weatherproofed. Skylights and vent pipes were carefully wrapped and secured, and all canales were fully covered. The crew was great and took the time to explain and show me how they installed the material, especially how they ensure proper sloping of the material to maximize water diversion into the canales. Clean-up after the job was perfect; no trace of material or debris left behind, either on the roof or the ground. We will definitely contact Gonzales and Sons if we ever need roofing work in the future.

I bought a townhome with a flat TPO roof a few months ago. Wouldn't you know, ceiling leaked after it rained After looking at reviews, I picked Gonzales and Sons Roofing. They replaced a portion of the TPO roof in a few hours. Last night it rained hard, and NO LEAKS:) Staff is very polite, professional, and they get the job done right! He spent a lot of time on my roof and provided me a detailed description of my issue and a plan of attack. He explained the whole process in easy-to-understand terms, he didn't try to "sell" me on anything, and just "gave it to me straight". He gave me peace of mind that I was getting a roof that would take care of me for many years to come. Leo Padilla is a pleasure to work with; he is prompt, truthful and exceptionally reliable. Leo has numerous contacts for other work that might be needed around the house and around the yard – this guy knows his stuff! He does not over-sell any work; he makes recommendations and tells it like it is. He has gone out of his way to help us with our roofing repairs and planned for patch repairs inside the house with qualified staff. He also is great with follow-up; making sure we were happy with all the work.

The guys that came out to help with the leaky roof after the big snowstorm were very friendly, explained the work, the material to be used and the time it would take to repair the flat roof. We are new to flat roofs and all the information provided from the guys and from Leo was very helpful and we gained lots of knowledge about flat roofs and their maintenance.

These guys are great. I needed to help my mother find a reliable company for roof repairs and Gonzales and Sons Roofing is that company. The previous company offered to save her money with a patch and seal that promised 5 years of extended life and 5 years of warranty. Of course a year later when the patch failed resulting in expensive repairs to the ceiling below, the same company said it was a new hole and not under warranty. And of course they would be glad to come perform more costly repairs.

Gonzales and Sons advertises multiple generations in the company and this is true. Looking back we realized they had been of service to my grandfather 20-30 years ago.

I called Isaac (remotely from Montana) and found him very responsive and in earnest about helping my mother. They were out within a day to provide a quote. They were reasonably priced and completed the repairs within two weeks time. Bravo, team Gonzales!!!

I work in a service/trades business and I know first-hand how difficult it is to meet the crush of demand in a timely manner. Everybody wants everything NOW so inevitably you'll hear from a disgruntled customer with complaints about timing. However, it is important to understand the their perspective and I assure you they are busting their tails to meet the needs of as many people as humanly possible.

I strongly recommend this company. They have multiple generations of experience and provide a high-value service. Their prices were reasonable and I would just suggest this.....if you are comparing bids, even if they are 10-20% higher it is well worth the investment in having the work done once and done right.

Would not recommend Gonzales & Sons. Contacted them to have a leak repaired. The initial contacts were fine although not ideal (took about 3 weeks to get on their schedule--totally understand, they have other customers/jobs). However, the work was shoddy and the leak returned 3 weeks afterwards during the first storm after the repair. They gave me a 3-month warranty, so I figured it would be no problem. Boy was I wrong. I respectfully sent emails and left voicemails at their office. One of the 7 times I called someone actually picked up, took my information, said they would look at the file and call me back that afternoon. I have received no additional communications despite calling and emailing once per day, including giving them ample time to contact me prior to posting this review. They do not stand behind their work, their warranty, or their word. Find someone else.

Great company, great work, great customer service and overall great experience. Pedro was great he worked with me start to finish and was very helpful explaining everything clearly and thoroughly. He came out the same day I called and gave me an estimate that was a very good price. They were patient with me while I worked with my insurance company and when they came out to do the roof finished in one day and did a great job. Definitely happy with my new roof and would recommend to anyone needing to get their roof done.

Gonzalez and Sons installed a TPO roof over my huge patio. Their price was by far the best price I was quoted. They got a late start because of a flat tire, but stayed until after 6PM to complete the job. Good quality work!

Max and the crew did an excellent job with our double-wide. Sure I could have gone cheaper for a double-wide, but I probably would have paid later for this. Quotes don't differ that much among various top companies, but the workmanship and responsiveness does. Gonzales and Sons is the perfect contractor. When looking for a contractor, I seek a licensed and insured professional. I want someone who is responsive, gives their word, keeps their word and does quality work. Gonzales and Sons did all of that and more. I called for a repair estimate, they arrived when they said they would (a few minutes early). Gave me an estimate exactly as I asked, (for a repair and a complete replacement). Then when time came to do the work, they were here exactly when they said they would be. Worked diligently until the job was completed. Did a high quality professional job. When they were done they cleaned the entire area and then left. I am impressed with their work ethic and work quality.

Isaac and his crew are trustworthy. That's a lot to say about roofers in this town. I've had my two most recent roofs done by them - one flat, one pitched (shingle). Excellent work. I noticed a few spots where the flat roofing was separating from the parapets a couple years after the job (probably more because my stucco is old and cracked, and not because the roof was faulty). I called Isaac and a day later a crew came out to seal the gaps quickly and effectively - with no additional charge. Isaac will come back once a year to inspect and touch up penetrations and parapets.
