This team handled my roof and skylights and did an excellent job! Very professional team , men and women who clearly know exactly what they are doing. The team work was fabulous.

I replaced my entire roof and installed gutter guards. I used Golden Group to replace some vertical siding with clapboards. Three carpenters came and completed the job over two days plus part of the third day for painting. I highly recommend Golden Roofing Group. Mikel came out to our home very quickly, he was very attentive and had answers to all of my questions. He was extremely thorough and It didn’t feel like a sales pitch. We explored options for solar + roof and just a roof and received two very fair quotes for both. Mikel was very patient and was always quick to respond. All of his communications were very thorough and professional. Any time I had a question, he had answers and solutions. Even with last minute potential changes, he was immediately ready to answer and provide solutions.

Towards the end of last year, I had several companies come out and quote for a full roof replacement.

Golden Group gave me the best feeling about the job from the initial discussion. Where other contractors canceled appointments, arrived late, or were just no-shows - Mikel (out of their Hudson office) arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the roof including taking drone footage.
He sat with me and walked me through the whole process clearly, explaining all my choices in materials and didn't push any product or add-on. I did receive marginally cheaper quotes, but they did not leave me feeling like my home was in good hands in the same way that Mikel did and I felt the extra money was likely to be worth it.

Once I decided to go ahead with them, again, everything was done very professionally. I was kept informed of times and everybody showed up exactly when they said they would. I made a small change to the scope of the work in replacing additional plywood sections of the roof, and these were easily accommodated on short notice.

On the day of the work, the crew showed up on time and Jurgan (the site foreman) kept everything moving with minimal disruption to us. I was working from home, and my wife and kids were in and out of the house for school and errands.
Despite replacing the entire roof of the main building and two additions over approximately 9 hours, there was minimal disruption to our days. The house was protected during the work, and even with snow still on the ground, their cleanup crew constantly walked the property picking up and disposing of any debris, nails, old material etc.

Ultimately the roof was replaced successfully and looks good. Every step of the job was explained to me, every question answered, and every decision explained. The team was professional, punctual and courteous throughout.

Golden Group proved to be communicative, competent and professional from beginning to end. I started more than a year ago getting bids for a new roof and for solar panels. Then I realized that with Golden Group, I could get both done at the same time. I'm so glad I did because the hardest part of the job turned out to be getting a permit to have a dumpster in the street since I have no off-street parking. Summer before last Golden Group kept getting permits but then the weather forecast would change such that rain was expected in the middle of the three-day period needed to do the job. At that point, we would have to wait six days to reapply for a new permit. That's why I wasn't able to get it done last summer or fall. Finally in September this year, the weather was fine, and Golden Group was able to put on a new roof and install solar panels in a three-day period.

Our roof was quite complicated with different pitches, skylights, turrets, and a chimney. But the panels are more efficient than they used to be, so in spite of complications, it is now possible to get 100 percent of my electricity needs met with solar panels.

They helped us plan the job very thoroughly before starting. For example, we needed to get a large tree in the backyard pruned to allow enough sunlight to make solar panels effective. Also we had to upgrade our electrical panel, but Golden Group had an electrician they worked with do that. They invited us to watch them work on another person's roof before we had ours done so we knew what to expect.

Once begun, the work went very smoothly, and they did a good job of cleaning up. They showed us drone photos of our new roof and also how we can view online how much money we are saving on electricity.
They helped me apply for no interest financing, and I always knew I could call with any questions or problems.

There are 25 year warranties on both the panels and the roof, and we know that since one company did both, if something goes wrong, there will be no possibility of the solar company blaming the roofing company and vice versa!

The one word I would use to describe our experience with Golden Group Roofing is "professional". Now I know why my neighbors rave about them. They were fast, clean, and efficient.

Our roof was near the end of its 30-year lifespan and we contracted Golden Group to replace our shingles and do some repairs to the flashing around our chimney, which had begun to leak. They took the time to explain exactly what they would do and what it would cost. The also made some suggestions for improving ventilation in our attic.

When the day came to do the work -- and all it took was a single day -- the Golden Group team arrived early and wasted no time stripping the existing shingles, replacing some damaged roof decking, fixing the flashing, and putting in new ridge vents and drip edge. Clearly, they had all done this many times before, and the result was a beautiful, watertight roof that should last for decades.

One thing I want to call out is the exceptional job they did keeping everything clean. They draped the areas they worked on, protecting both our house and our foundation plants, none of which were damaged. And after the work was finished their cleanup was so complete that we have yet to find a single stray nail. Amazing.

I have a 40 year old house in Harvard ma. that my husband and I are renovating. In 1987 we added an addition onto the property, it has 2 floors, one with a cathedral ceiling, and 4 large 6ft by 3ft skylights in the ceiling. The skylights started leaking 10 years after they were installed. We also have a sunspace with 3 large skylights in the existing house which started leaking after approx 20 years. We needed an expert with significant experience with skylight installation to advise me on the best path forward. The expert we found was Golden Group Roofing, they were the only company that could answer all our questions related to replacement and installation. All the manufacturers of skylights from the 1980s have gone out of business or have been bought out. We could not directly replace our 7 large skylights. Golden Group came up with the solution, custom made Velux Skymax skylights. They had the experience in building custom frames to mount the skylights, and the on-site manufacturing of the flashing necessary. Velux is now the only game in town for skylights and Golden Group brought their many years of expert experience working with this vendor to the project. We also have 9 other smaller skylights both fixed and vented that Velux had off-the-shelf replacements for. The flashing had failed in some of them and the glass itself was beginning to fail. We decided to replace all 16 skylights, replace the roof and replace some transitional siding between the roofs of the house. This was a complex and a fairly large job, however Golden Group was able to take it on and come through with a fantastic result. Working with John Campoverde was terrific, because he demonstrated that his company, Golden Group was more than capable of completing the job. Roofing technology has considerably improved with roof deck membranes and installation techniques that provide homeowners, that is us, with the confidence that the skylights will be maintenance free for at least 20-25 years into the future backed by Velux and Golden Group. We could not be more pleased with the result.

He was outstanding to work with, and very knowledgeable of the products and materials. He was responsive in all aspects. The quote was detailed; scheduling and delivery of the product and services was timely; and John was communicative and always accessible. The dumpster and materials were delivered the day before the project began. The roofing team was prompt and began working immediately. They are an hard working group. Each one knew their part and did it. They all paid very close attention to detail. John was available throughout the project and kept us updated all along the way. We were concerned about damage to some special plantings around our house which they all took great care to protect. They completed the entire project in one day, and left our yard and driveway completely cleared, to the state they found it. Overall great experience with Golden Group. John was fantastic throughout the entire process. He is responsive, knowledgeable, and responds quickly. Furthermore, John is preemptive in his communication - when materials are being dropped off, when clean up is going to happen. He also provided status updates, including pictures and videos. I was impressed that at our walk through, he brought up additional areas that could be cleaned and said it would be taken care of. The way John showed up gave us every confidence that the work was going to be done well, on-time, and any issues could be easily resolved. We're really glad we went with this company.

There were some bumps on the road but Golden Groups true colors showed on how immediate and effectively they responded.
