My experience has been 100% positive. It’s been roughly 9-12 months since getting roughly 7 or so cracks sealed that were letting in water from the walls, tie rods, and floor. the basement has been bone dry and all work is warrantied for 10 years, when they come back to address new issues, they are always checking on the other cracks and ensuring that they continue to hold. They are very responsive and a family business, so you are treated well.

We are trying to purchase a home and had some concerns about the foundation in the inspection report. Rich took my call on a Sunday evening during a holiday weekend. He answered my questions and took a lot of time to explain in detail. We really appreciate him explaining the issues without trying to sell anything. When the time comes we know who we are going to call for help. Thanks Rich!

We had A-1out for not your typical repair. I work for a robotics company and one of our robots kept getting stuck in a crack in the foundation floor of our warehouse which was causing a data failure on our robots. They came out within the week and repaired the crack with a special solvent that could resist the weight of the robots driving over it. Highly recommend Adam and his entire team. I was deeply disappointed by my experience with A1 Foundation Crack Repair.

I initially met with Rich so he could inspect my basement and give me a quote to repoint it. I was very upfront with my goal of excluding rodents, which is advertised as a benefit of their service on their website. Rich told me that repointing would involve scraping out any existing spray foam, that had been used to temporarily plug cracks, and then piping mortar into the wall to properly repair it. I also specifically asked to make sure that they would also seal around the windows, doors, and wooden frame of the house where it meets the foundation. Rich informed me that mortar would fail due to natural water retention in the wood but that they could seal those areas with silicone. I happily hired them only to be disappointed by the service I received.

The worker who showed up to repoint the basement did not bring the proper materials and only repointed about 50% before leaving. I emailed the company to inform them and they said it was an office error and that he would return at a later day with the proper materials to finish the job.

The second time, the same worker showed up. I pointed out whole walls that had been skipped. After the worker left I could clearly see areas where he had smeared a thin layer of mortar over the spray foam, instead of scraping out the foam, as advertised, and actually repairing the structural integrity of the wall. I could also see that all windows, door frames, and the frame of the house had been skipped entirely.

I spoke with Adam on the phone and was brushed off and told that they would come back and fix everything. The same guy came on the third visit, smeared more mortar over the same foam insulation, and put mortar around some of the window frames.

At that point I gave up trying to work with this company. The office treated me like I was asking them to put mortar on the wooden frames instead of silicone and the worker that showed up did not speak English and was unable to understand me. The worker also had horrible workmanship and no respect for my home when he tried to hide the fact that he didn't repair the cracks and instead hid them under a thin layer of mortar.

I hired A1 to repair a water leak in my basement. They came and treated the area. A few months later I had a second/different leak in a spot where I have never had a leak before. Ok, maybe the water just got pressured down further on my foundation and that happens. So I called them again to address that leak.

I had to tear out the basement drywall again. They treated the area to no avail. The next rainstorm we had a huge puddle of rain in our finished basement. This was AFTER I put the wall back.

I had them back again, tore the wall out again, treated again - and AFTER putting the wall back, we had another hard rain and another flood.

I think they came three times (three times to tear out the interior wall!), and I finally just hired another contractor who worked OUTSIDE the structure to solve the problem.

It was a very frustrating and costly process with them, and I would not recommend anyone starting with them in the first place.

Rich is the absolute best!!! I can call him anytime with questions and he will help me on the spot with expert and professional advice. As a Realtor, I’ve used A1 plenty of times and feel grateful to have them in my back pocket for the tough questions. I’ve referred dozens of clients who have had the best experience with Rich and the entire team.

I chose A1 Foundation to fix a basement leak, but unfortunately, the issue has never been resolved despite multiple visits.

On their first visit, the technician only sealed the lower part of the crack. A few months later, after a heavy rainstorm, water leaked again and pooled across the floor. I emailed the company, and it took them over two weeks to respond and send someone out again. The second repair added an injection in the middle section, but within days, the leak returned.

After another long wait, they came a third time and injected the upper part of the crack. As shown in the attached photo, it is still leaking, and the work looks messy and unprofessional. The process has cost me not just money, but also valuable time, as the basement leak interfered with important plans. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated.

In the end, I had no choice but to spend even more money to hire a different company to finally fix the problem. I do not recommend this service.

Had some urgent questions about a foundation on a house we were buying and Rich was extremely helpful, taking repeated calls from me and patiently answering all of my questions.

I contacted A1 Foundation Crack Repair, Inc. with some garage foundation questions for a possible future project so I sent over some photos and received a free detailed proposal in a very timely manner! Rick thoroughly answered my questions, and I appreciated the time he took to educate me on the process and products used. This review is for "A1" customer service!

I had called this wonderful company on a Saturday and within hours they were able to steer me in the correct direction. Not only were they honest but they helped me understand the other companies high pressure tactics. Thank you! I will use you again.

Apparently Rich, the original owner, sold the business to the son in law, who is less than helpful and has no integrity. I tried to explain an issue from an old install that A1 did a year prior and the new owner wasn’t interested in anything I said. Rich, the previous owner, is still working in some capacity and is a stand up guy, however seems very disorganized, busy or both. They had a worker come out on 3 separate occasions from Lunenburg to Attleboro and said he didn’t bring the right tools. This was super frustrating and only exacerbated the issue further until they could return with the correct tools. Even though that guy supposedly doesn’t work there anymore, it’s still a direct reflection on the company. The father and son team (Andrew) that work there are great guys and super helpful. Hope they can work out the kinks and salvage the previous owners reputation.

Promptly showed up for the service and completed the task with high professional experience. They were patient and answered the questions I had.

We’ve used A1 Foundation in two homes now and have had great experiences. They are fast and reliable. They provide reasonably priced solutions and are honest about the work you actually need.

I’ve had A-1 Foundation Crack repair do two jobs on my property and they’ve been great. They responded quickly to my calls, they put us on their schedule promptly, but had to reschedule due to bad weather, but they kept me up to date. He reviewed pictures confirm that my water in my basement was not from a crack foundation or the need for a new foundation at 28,000.00..Adam took the time over several days to discuss the situation and help me! Out of all the quotes I got to repoint our stone basement, Adam seemed the most honest and up front. The work that was done by his team was professional and clean, and took less than 2 days to repoint the whole basement. Would highly suggest you give them a try if you are considering any foundational work.

Had several cracks in my basement and got A-1 Foundation Crack Repair's help on repairing them multiple times. Sean and Joe were very informational and answered all my questions. They are professional, done the job quick and clean. The cracks are good now and leaking is stopped. Will recommend.

Started off well. Rich (the owner) came over and assessed our home. He didn't hesitate. Told us all we had to do was repoint our old mortar between stones in the basement and water would stop coming in. Told me that there are scammers that will say we need to fix water from the outside, when that's not true.

A very nice technician came over and repointed about 30% of the agreed-upon space. He said that that is actually all that we paid for. I emailed the company to let them know how dishonest this was. Rich had given us a quote for 2 rooms, and we had agreed upon the 1st room to be fixed, not only 30% of it. After several weeks of us emailing, the company agreed to come back and finish the job. They finished repointing.

Water immediately started coming back in to the basement. Actually, it was even worse than before. Adam reassured us that it would take a few weeks to prime. We waited a few weeks. It continued to pour water. We emailed Adam again. He asked for photos of outside. It has now been another week and we've been left out to dry (not literally, unfortunately).

Honestly, I would never use this company or recommend it to anyone. They are dishonest. At the very least, be honest about whether this is fixable or not, or tell us if you don't know. Don't ensure that you can fix something when you can't. And for god's sake, FINISH THE JOB that we paid for. And when there's an issue, you should respond and not leave the customer waiting for weeks on end.

We now have to use a different company to fix this.
We've lost our money. We should be refunded, but I know not to expect this.

A1 foundation crack repair is an incredible company. The customer service is BY FAR the BEST you will find. I reached out after a recent rain storm because I hired them years ago and the fix worked great. I’m so happy I was able to find them again in my old text messages-he responded immediately-it was surprising!!! Rich is the NICEST and most HONEST man I’ve ever hired. He explains exactly what the fix is, provides an estimate, arrives on time, left my cellar cleaner than when he arrived. I don’t like maintenance bills yet I’m happy to get a bill from them as odd as that may sound.

Rich looked at my issue using video and images I sent and was able to diagnose virtually without a site visit that it was something simple and did not need repair. Many companies would have wasted my time and come out to the house and probably try to sell me on an expensive not actually needed fix. Super happy with my experience with these guys. They were prompt and on time, honest with what needed to be done, and could have easily upsold me on stuff I wanted but wouldn't solve the problem or would have fallen apart quickly. The job took a little more time than expected and when I asked about some spots they missed, they fixed EVERYTHING I even asked about. I am so happy with the work they did, and the estimate/cost came in quite a bit lower than a competing quote.

I called A-1 Foundation Crack Repair because it appeared that we had a water problem in our finished basement and the only thing we could think of was that it must be from a crack in the foundation. When I called and spoke to Rich he told me what to do to help assess the problem. As it turned out, the source of the problem was from my kitchen drain pipe. Disappointed. Initial meeting was great. Rich seemed very knowledgeable but when it came to the actual work of repointing our basement and installing Lally columns they did a great jobs with the columns but the repointing was a mess. They scheduled us for 2 days (1/8 and 1/11). We were not told that they would not remove drywall covering part of the walls even after I said "feel free to remove this" (all I needed was a "we don't do that"). They showed up, worked around it and I had to ask them about it so between day 1 and day 2 we removed it ourselves. Showed up after 10, left around 4 both days. Still did not do the area with the drywall we removed on day 2 even though we were quoted for the basement entirely. I had to call them to figure out if they were coming back after they left on day 2 with the job half finished without saying anything. They had to figure out about scheduling a third day, then complained about it because it wasn't a significant amount of extra pay. We had to wait to schedule the third day in order to coordinate Rich and the team to be in the same place at the same time to confirm they were in fact doing the area that was originally behind the drywall. They dumped debris outside in our yard in the corner, didn't ask, didn't say anything, didn't give us the opportunity to dispose of it ourselves. Why did I wait so long to leave a review? I was going to leave it be but we are currently starting more work down in the basement and have discovered that there are still parts of the basement left unpointed so we will have to spend another significant amount of money to have a second company come in behind them to finish repointing what was ignored. I'm sure this company is great at many things including crack repair but I would advise against any full basement jobs. 2 stars because the lally columns appear to be well done.

A1 did an absolute ghastily job of repairing my basement crack. After 4 service calls they were never able to repair the leak.

1. First tech installed an epoxy patch. Did not do any injection ports to seal the patch.

2. When the second tech came by they were scratching their heads as to why the first patch was done this way. They did the injection port method. This worked for one of the cracks but the main crack was still leaking.

3. They no showed for one of the appointments.

4. The tech came by and used hydraulic cement to pack in around leaking pipe penetrative and then used the injection ports.

5. The owner actually came by to do more repairs.

In the end after all that it still leaked. I ended up putting a French drain alternative at the base of the crack to catch the leak and divert it to the sump. The repair might have worked better if the first tech didn't put the epoxy repair in the first place. My 10 year warranty is about to run out. Wondering if I should give them one more shot at it. Some of the DIY kits that you can get from radon seal would have worked better. Maybe they had an off day. But come on 4 tries to fix one crack and a no show?

Highly recommend A1 Foundation. We had a crack in our basement wall. Seamless experience, no pun intended. Easily booked next day appointment, friendly serviceman who explained everything and cleaned up the space after the repair. We needed another quote and again they were there the next day with the same professionalism and best pricing we found in the area.

We’re outside service area but manager took time to advise anyway. Super honest. Said a sump put and pump could fix us given our specifics. Probably no need for French drain system. If he’s right, he saved me $15k! So rare to not be unsold in the basement world. I wish I could use them for the pump!

Rich is a life saver. Came and gave an honest explaination to my current troubles unlike what another scam contractor (different company) tired to sell me. Didn't try to upsell nothing i didn't need and even suggested i work with a closer company for my sump pump needs to get them serviced in a timely manner. Even working on an estimate for much needed column replacement for the foundation, even though that wasn't the original need.

This company prides itself on being honest with customers and it shows with today's visit. Will defintely keep this company in mind for all my foundation needs in the future.

After researching leaking foundation cracks and several quotes I chose to go with A-1 Foundation. They explained the process and gave me a quote after reviewing pictures of the leaks. I got a message 2 days before the scheduled repair with a 2 hour time frame for arrival. The day of the repair I got a phone call about 15 minutes before arrival which was exactly at the beginning of the time frame. Olivier checked the walls in my basement and explained the methods used to repair the cracks based on the type of cracks I had. He let me ask many questions and made sure I was fine with the process before he started working.
He was very efficient and let me know once he was completed so I could check out the work. He explained that I may get some minor leakage with the first couple of heavy rain storms. This worried me, but he was quick to let me know that if I still had leaking after 3 storms I should call back.
After the first storm, I had some minor leaking compared to what I had before. Today is the second storm and there is no leaking at all.
I am very happy with A-1 Foundation and Olivier's work. I would definitely recommend them if you have leaking foundation cracks.

They are no-nonsense, professional, on time and delivered satisfactory fixes. They also have a system of offering visit ahead of the scheduled date in the events that they have cancellations. Works out for everyone. All in all, highly recommended.
