Very disappointed with Glen Burnie Roofing. They were quick to give us a quote and agree to the job (covering two skylights) but after that, it was weeks of being pushed to the bottom of the list. They completely stopped responding to our calls and made it clear our small job wasn’t a priority for them.

We were more than patient, but the lack of communication and disregard was unacceptable. Glen Burnie Roofing may be fine if your job is big enough for them to care. Otherwise, expect delays, dodged calls, and being forgotten.

I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was to work with Mike Rice and his team at Glen Burnie Roofing! From the very beginning, Mike was professional, honest and courteous. I had over a dozen different roofing companies (this is not an exaggeration) parade in and out of my home, offering the "best pricing, quality materials and workmanship." Despite repeatedly stating that I was collecting information from multiple roofers and I would not be making a decision at that moment, several tried to push me into signing that day. Mike Rice of Glen Burnie Roofing did not. He simply gave me a no-pressure quote, along with the information on the materials he uses. When I had questions, I was able to email or text, and he got back to me by the end of the day.

After collecting information from over a dozen roofers, I started weeding out the bad apples (and there were several). By doing a little research, I learned that only half were offering quality materials. That left honesty/integrity, pricing, and craftmanship.

The price from Glen Burnie was 1/3 less than competitors (AGAIN, this is not an exaggeration). Was I comparing apples to apples? Not exactly. The final group of contractors were all using the same materials. Glen Burnie Roofing also included the cost of replacing the entire roof deck, whereas other companies would only replace the plywood sheets "as needed". But since the thickness of the plywood that was on my roof was old/no longer within code, replacing a piece here and there would have left random ripples in my roof. The majority of roofers insisted it would not be noticeable; and they were right... You wouldn't notice it right away; you'd notice it about 5 years down the road after the roof went through a few blazing hot summers and snow-packed winters. By then, the WARRANTY on the roof installation would have expired. But what about the warranty on the shingles? If the shingles are damaged because the roof was installed improperly, the warranty is voided. To be fair, if I didn't have the entire roof deck replaced, the pricing from Glen Burnie Roofing would have been HALF of what the next closest bid was.

By getting itemized quotes from everyone, I was able to see the EXTREME mark up on materials from the other companies, which promptly eliminated them from the running.

And since Glen Burnie Roofing replaced a roof for a dear friend and co-worker 20 years ago and has had no problems whatsoever since, I knew a quality roofer would be handling the installation of the roof that would protect my home.

There was no run around, no excuses, no hidden charges or "surprise add-ons." They delivered quality work with integrity and kindness from beginning to end. Mike, from Glen Burnie Roofing, even went on my roof to identify damaged shingles to show the insurance adjuster. (This was a HUGE help when it came to filing a claim.) The team at Glen Burnie Roofing also did a fantastic job cleaning up the yard after the job was completed.

Bonus points: Instead of having a "chimney pipe" coming through my roof, they installed a stainless-steel "brick" chimney. For anyone with little kids, having a "chimney" at Christmas is very important.

There is simply NO COMPARISON as to the amount of care given to me/my home by Glen Burnie Roofing. I felt like I was being taken care of by a close family member. Respect, kindness and compassion.

Glen Burnie Roofing recently installed a roof for us at our second home. We had previously used them in 2014 to replace our own roof and were extremely satisfied. Absolutely 5 stars in every sense of the meaning. Mike and Sammy and the crew are second to NONE. They showed up early, got all of the materials, were extremely professional, let me be involved every step of the way, and assured me and showed me how it was done. I am very particular, especially with structural impacts to my home. I learned so much and had a blast getting to know Mike and Sammy and his crew. They cleaned up all debris, and did multiple nail sweeps. Their prices are fair and honest. I couldn't recommend this company more, you'll have to give them a shot at your roof replacement. Mike's father also does estimates and is a blast to talk to. You can't go wrong choosing Glen Burnie Roofing.

We just had a new roof installed on our house. We got a few bids before choosing Glen Burnie Roofing. Mike is an honest man and found him great to work with. We met his dad as well, and is also a great man. The instillation itself went great and we are very pleased with our new roof. I definitely recommend to others and would use them again!

Everyone from Glen Burnie roofing (Mike and his wife) were SO wonderful. I was a new homeowner. My inspection said the roof was fine - said it would last. Turns out it didn't, I had a leak and a missing shingle soon there after. I had someone come out tell me I needed my whole roof replaced immediately blah blah. Then I called Glen Burnie Roofing - Mike came out and helped me fix my broken shingle for free as it was just one shingle but then quoted me at a very reasonable price for my roof. I also have solar panels which took forever to get off and he was so nice through the whole process, very patient never pushy for me to get this done. I cannot explain how nice it was as a new homeowner to not feel like someone was taking advantage of my lack of knowledge in this field. They were helpful and kind the whole time and it really made me believe the world is full of good people again!!

We were so incredibly impressed with Glen Burnie Roofing. From the initial call to schedule a quote until the job was completed, it was a pleasant experience. Mike and Doug were extremely friendly and personable. They showed up when they said they would for the quote. They updated us on where we were in line and called a few days before the job to let us know they were dropping off materials and showed up at 6am, as promised, the day of the job. The crew, what can I say about them? They were so friendly, professional and polite. They went above and beyond replacing the roof. They did other things that weren't even expected and we were very appreciative. They completed the job and did an amazing job of cleaning up the old roof mess. Mike came out to look at the finished product and met with my husband, who couldn't praise his employees and company enough. We've literally commented to each other several times how happy we are with them. I would recommend this company 100 times over to anyone needing roof repair/replacement.

I made a smart decision to go with Glen Burnie Roofing 10 years ago when I needed a new roof.

I remember being impressed with Mike’s knowledge and his interest in making sure we got the roof replaced promptly and effectively.

Fast forward to this week (8/20) and the tropical storm. We got a small leak coming through our ceiling air vent...Mike was there early the next morning to replace a couple shingles that had been lifted by the wind.

I so appreciate the care Mike demonstrates in his work and in his approach to helping people.

GB roofing did a job for us yesterday. They were there from 7-4. They were the lowest quote of the 7 we contacted, and because I knew we'd likely need to replace the roof deck, they quoted that out too. They contacted us on the last business day last week to confirm Monday, and confirmed again on Sunday once the weather forecast was clear. The foreman communicated with my husband throughout the day. The roof looks fantastic and they did a great clean up job. They also coordinated with us based on our ability to have our solar company remove the panels too. Highly recommend!!

Our home was approaching 50 years old. The roof for years has been showing its age, with broken shingles and staining. Even more concerning was that it had two sets of shingles on the original sub-roof. No doubt the time had come to replace the roof. Called several local business and settled on GB Roofing. Price was very competitive, but Mike also was patient and thorough in presenting all the options. It also helped that several homes in our community had nothing but excellent things to say in regards to their craftsmanship. The crew showed up the day before install to pre-position all the materials. Come install day they arrived on-time and quickly sprung into action. I spoke with Sammy the foreman and he was very detailed on what was being installed and was more than eager to answer my questions. The entire crew was very professional and their detail to the task at hand was impressive. Within eights hours of their arrival GB roofing had undone 50 years of deterioration with a stunning roof! No hesitation whatsoever in recommending GB Roofing. Bravo!

Had my roof installed a year ago by glen burine roofing and have been recommending them to everyone even thinking about getting a new roof since. This company is very easy to work with and have great prices. When I was in the market I had 7 different companies out to give me an estimate on my roof and glen burine roofing was the only company that sent an actual roofer to give me an estimate. Day of the guys got here on time and worked hard to get it done same day. After finished the owner showed up to inspect all work and help with clean up. Extremely happy with them as a company start to finish.

We just had our roof replaced by Glen Burnie Roofing and we couldn't be happier. We shopped around and found that GB Roofing had the best price and the reviews were great. We put a deposit on the roof in May but because of all the rain we've had, they weren't able to do our roof until September. They were very up front with us and kept in touch during the four month waiting period. The roofers showed up when they said they would and the job was finished when they said it would be done. The roofers were very friendly and professional. And they looked like they were having fun - talking, laughing, etc. Great team work. The owner, Mike, came at the end of the job and inspected everything. He did a final walk around to make sure it met his expectations and to clean up anything left behind (which was only a few nails). Our roof looks amazing! We would highly recommend them to our friends and family!
