We were super happy with Gibson. Our roof was a big undertaking, with a large and steep roof, close proximity to neighbors, and with original 1911 cedar shake at the base. Gibson did excellent work, completing the job quickly, thoroughly and paying attention to the details. They were also very responsive to our questions and easy to work with.

Gibson Roofing is the real deal. I have not only used them on my personal homes but I refer them to all of my real estate clients. Their work is honest, ethical and top of the line. I know they are disclosing accurate information and would never upsell anything that doesn’t need to be done. The entire process from estimates to installation was entirely professional and at the same time showing personal care. The crew worked efficiently and professionally. The extra work (fascia board painting and new gutters) was subcontracted with equally professional and quality people. All in all a very good experience.

I really enjoyed working with the Gibson team. From the Quote process to the completed work was as we expected.
Our job was very complicated. We had 3 HUGE old growth trees land on our roof during the brutal January 2024 storm. It did massive damage to our house.
Gibson team worked VERY well with our contractor to align roofing quickly after the rebuilding of the home structure. It was a huge job and very complex. Lots of beams, rafters and Joists had to be replaced.
His Roofing team was VERY polite. Juan was the job foreman. He kept us very informed of each part of the job they were working on. We were required to provide many photos to our insurance company, so Juan would inform me as each part of the roof was peeled back so I could take photos.
The new roof is beautiful. We still have lots of repairs to make to our home, but the roof no longer leaks and looks like a million-$

Replacing roof. 3 layers plus wood damaged roof. About 23 years old. Gibson Roofing is an excellent company. Steve Gibson came and took pictures of the roof and gave me an estimate. The roof was in even worse condition needing removal of a lot of boards. They don't take any money until the job is done and you are satisfied. They were fast and professional. I recommend the company for any roofing jobs needed.

We got over six estimates and Gibson Roofing was our pick. Honest, reliable, affordable, and not “salesie” like some of the other roof estimate we received. Took them about a day and a half to complete the roof. We are really happy with the results and they made sure everything was picked up including an extra check for nails. Highly recommend.

When I was gathering bids, Josh Gibson came out and inspected my roof, checked the plywood from the attic and spent all the time necessary to answer all my questions. He walked me through the details of the project; he was very thorough and honest right out of the gate. After I received the bid Josh was available and happy to answer my additional questions. This company cares about their customers.
The crew doing the work was professional, friendly and quick. At the end of each day they cleaned up my property. Upon completion of the project I walked around the perimeter of my house to ensure there were no stray staples, nails or debris. Nothing!

Had some roofing blow off during the ice storm this year (2024). Didn't know about it until the water was coming into the guest bathroom. After looking around I decided to give Gibson a call. Steve didn't want to wait and sent someone out right away the next morning to repair. They were here on time, with roofing that matched the color of the stuff we had. Had the roof fixed in only a couple hours. Even went into our crawl space to look for mold or other damage.

The cost was quite reasonable and the service beyond reproach.

A very pleasant experience every step of the way. Everyone was helpful and courteous. Got a good deal. The roofers were great. They cleaned up at the end of each day and left the area clean after the job was complete. The roof looks great!

Raced through the roof job, left gates 3 open and dogs got out and into my house which in turned into $3k worth of vet bills and a month of recovery. His response was it's impossible to know why people have gates in there back yards. Then I decided to have Home masters inspect the roof twice to find out Gibsons roofed over rotted plywood and Owens Corning will not warranty the roof. Roofed over rotted facia boardsThey also damaged gutters with their ladders, installed roof vents incorrectly, left nails all over the drive way. This guy struggles with honesty and integrity. It took the CCB and a lawsuit to get this guy to do what's right. Save yourself a headache and get a estimate with home masters they stand behind there work.

Steve and Josh were both great to work with; very friendly and professional. Gibson Roofing uses quality materials, offers a great warranty program is was very reasonably priced. Our roof project was scheduled quickly and the crew completed the work in one day. They were thorough in cleaning up and quickly addressed any questions and concerns we had. They even let us use the extra space in their dumpster which saved us time and money and the hassle of dealing with it ourselves. In addition, Steve went above and beyond to provide us with great advice on our other home updating projects. We were so pleased, Gibson Homes will be replacing all of our windows as well.

No one really looks forward to getting a roof replaced, but when it is necessary, Gibson Roofing is who I'd recommend!! They are local to the Portland area (out of Estacada Oregon), less expensive than most, and get the job done quickly and professionally!! After getting several bids, we met with Josh Gibson of Gibson Roofing who was friendly and knowledgable and walked us through the process. His quote was the lowest of everyone who we'd spoken to, AND the company is a family owned business (Big plus for us). The company had their own team who came out to complete our roof (No Subcontractors). They were friendly, thorough and patient with our questions and concerns. The roof was done ahead of schedule, and everything was completed as promised and right in the same price range that we had been quoted -- NO SURPRISES!! They even worked with us on getting them paid in a timely manner. The whole procedure was amazingly painless, the roof looks beautiful and I'll be recommending them to everyone I know.

My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the timeliness, quality of work, and cleanup of the job. Since this was a very old roof, Josh informed us there may be extra costs if there were more than two roofs, (there was) or if the substrate had dry rot. (It did). The cost was still reasonable in my opinion. We were informed that the start time of the project would be 10/26/23 and the job would take 2 days. The crew arrived promptly at 7:30 AM and wasted no time in removing and replacing the roof material. They were professional and courteous through the job. We highly recommend Gibson Roofing.

A neighbor referred Gibson Roofing to us and we found their work to be of great quality and professional and we were glad to engage them to do our roof also. They informed us in advance about various stages of delivery of the trash bin, materials, potable toilet for their workers and everything went well. The team chose couple of dry days and finished the work within two days (10/18- 10/19/2023). They also added additional ventilation systems which we never had. The roof looks great and we are very happy about their work. After the work the team removed all the debris from our yard and also from our neighbor’s yard. My new roof was finished by Gibson Roofing about a week ago, and I couldn’t be more pleased. The crew arrived on time after finishing up another house in the neighborhood. They wasted no time getting started, covering up the deck, plants, etc. to catch all of the debris from the roof. There were two layers of old roofing to be removed and they had to replace a lot of plywood before putting on the new shingles. I couldn’t believe how fast and efficiently they worked together, especially as hot as it was both days. From the time Josh came to give me an estimate, to when Steve came by the second day to let me know they were going to need more plywood than what was expected, to finishing the job by the evening of the second day… as I said, I couldn’t be more pleased. The color of the shingles is beautiful and I am still going outside to look every so often to see how nice my house looks. I love it! Josh Gibson came out to do a quote on a roof. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable and informative he was. He was able to explain what he was doing every step of the way. I liked the way he pointed out things, but it didn't feel like I was being pitched a sale. He simply cared about educating and explaining your options. Once he sent over the quote, that too was packed with information. Down a sketch of the roof and the proposed work. This will definately not be the last time I reach out to Gibson for help in the Clakamas area! Absolutely recomend!

I honestly don't think I've ever had a better experience with ANY contractor from start to finish! When Josh came out to look at the job he did great at explaining the materials, why they use them, and what to expect from them! We contacted Gibson Roofing to do a roof inspection on a manufactured home that we were considering buying for my 84 yr. old mom. It was a newer roof but there was evidence of leaks. Josh came out and did a thorough inspection of the roof. He found numerous defects in the previous roof workmanship that caused leaks. Consequently, the roof was severely weak and unsafe. This assessment was consistent with the home inspector's report and the visual interior ceiling sagging. We got an estimate to redo the roof correctly and were very impressed by the attention to detail, and quality of work, provided by Gibson Roofing. Thank you Josh!!

I received four bids all together. All were in the same ballpark as far as cost. Gibson won me over in many ways. Better warranty, better customer experience. Josh was quick to respond to our concerns along the way and made sure they were corrected and that we were satisfied. I used Gibson Roofing a few years back and had the best experience ever. They were on time and finished the job very quickly. I opted for metal valleys and lead vent covers. No issues with my request and the roof looked fantastic. They were very honest in their pricing and did not try to gouge me. I would highly recommend them. My house was located in Camas.

I was in a pinch for time and needed a fast, full roof repair with better venting as well. The owners and project manager were in direct contact each step of the way and were able to get me scheduled and the full roof replaced within 6 days of signing the work order. They were even able to come one day earlier than promised which was amazing.

I received 5 other bids for this project and nobody else was able to prioritize the time sensitive needs or provide their service for a reasonable price like Gibson did. They were very upfront about everything to expect while others avoided sharing this information.

As a bonus, I had a very minor issue that was unrelated to their quality efforts with my roof. Upon mentioning a problem with a small break in my fence, they sent out a representative the very next day to fix it for me without charge and with high quality service. This has been the best home improvement experience I have had over the past 17 years. I will be recommending them to friends and neighbors.

Steve, Josh and their crews have been fantastic. Their bid was reasonable and Josh was great at walking us through things after thoroughly inspecting the roof. There was an incident when the supplier that dropped off things broke a sprinkler and Steve promptly responded and had it taken care of. Would highly recommend this company!

They really wanted the job- they kept checking on us and gave us design plans to make sure we understood what they were going to do to the roof until we ultimately picked them. Its a family owned business and they sold us on the Corning technology and value for our money. The roof got a real test week after completion when a nasty thunderstorm came through and passed...big thing I noticed was how the water ran better off the roof than before.

Josh Gibson basically sold the job to us from technology used to showing us the plans he drew up (real CAD-like plans, not back-of-the-envelope plans) to explain what they'd do to the roof to final price and warranty.

We found this company to be true to their word. Did exactly what they promised - great work, great crew, excellent follow up. It was obvious that the crew was very experienced and pro's at each phase of the replacement of our roof. If you are looking for craftsmen in the roofing business this is your company.

We had a good old east wind with snow, tore our roof off some and the wind carried it to the neighbors. Then the 2nd snow storm came. The roofers were out from 7:30 to dark, the first day and the 2nd day they said they were only going to work 1/2 day. It was Sunday and they worked a whole day. Finished it up on Monday. Josh was the one we dealt with. He did the estimating, talked us through the whole process. Josh did a great job, keeping us informed all along the way with texts and phone calls. I would give him 10 stars if I could.

Steve and his team were absolutely stellar. At our first consultation with Steve we immediately knew his company felt like the right fit, even after interviewing a handful of other roofing companies.

Steve was fully transparent about every step of the process, the pricing, the materials used, and the timeframe. He and his team also were flexible about the install date and time, working around our schedule. They also came back immediately when there was one location that needed a little tweak.

We had a full roof tear-off and re-install, as well as all new gutters, downspouts and leaf guards. We also had two fan vents installed and some wood trim replaced. Every product, and the reason for that product, was explained in detail, and the quote we received broke down every item, which we never saw from any other company.

Steve's whole team were extremely friendly and thoughtful, kept the job site organized, asked questions when needed, and listened to all our ideas and feedback. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for roofing work!

After years of small leaks, this winter I opted for a new roof. I got 3 bids, Gibsons being one of them. Steve’s bid was very fairly priced. He spent time explaining why I might be getting leaks, the various grades of shingles and ice and water shield. We talked about the likelihood that I’d need new plywood due to poor ventilation. Steve took the time to help me decide on an edge venting solution and to call the shingle manufacturer to verify this will work on my lower pitch 3/12 roof.
Steve also took the time to work with me on how to best seal custom fascia metal on my roof’s highest edge.
The roof looks great and I’m very happy. Great service, responsive, took the time to explain, and highly experienced.

After 25 years in our home, we needed a roof replacement. We hired Gibson Roofing to do a complete roof tear-off and re-roof job. They were efficient, cleaned our driveway each day (we never had a problem with nails in our tires) . The project was finished timely and very professionally.
Two months ago, we had a limb from one of our trees punch a hole in the roof. In the middle of a very buzy week, Gibson figured out a way to help us and complete a repair of the one problem we knew about and four others we did not know about.
Again, Great people. Timely work, professionally looking out for us. Based on our experiences, I would recommend them to anyone. I will use them, again if we need help with our roof.

In December 2019 Steve Gibson was the standout in a series of contractor I had give me an estimate for replacing our roof. I couldn't afford to replace the roof right then and then COVID happened and some other stuff before I contacted him again in October 2022. He was the straight shooter that I remembered and was able to revisit his estimate just based on the notes he had had taken in 2019. Within a month we had a new roof and it was more painless than you can imagine. We were actually out of town for the whole thing and we were delighted to come home to a new roof and no other evidence that anything had happened. Perfect.

After a winter storm blew the top off of our attic fan we called several roof contractors to see if we could get it patched up to prevent water leaking in. Gibson was the only company that called us back. Josh Gibson came by and, free of charge, looked over the roof for other damage, and used a plastic sack and duct tape to do a temporary patch until we could get the whole roof re-shingled. We had another contractor in mind to re-do the roof; one that we had used in the past for our rentals. But Josh really wanted our business. He's only 19, but don't be concerned about his youth, he grew up on roofs and has more experience than people ten years his senior. We had Josh give us an estimate, and got an estimate from our other contractor. Gibson's bid was $4k lower, so it was an easy decision, especially since Josh was so easy to work with and so enthusiastic. The work is finished now and we're very satisfied. Gibson Roofing kept their promises, showed up when they said they would, did the work quickly and effectively, finished on time, and cleaned up the site. We would strongly recommend Josh Gibson, and Gibson Roofing for any roofing jobs you might have.

Gibson roofing came in the next day after the strong winds damaged shingles on my 35 year old roof. The fastest response I've ever had from any contractor! Steve was fantastic to work with. When I decided to replace my roof, the job was scheduled immediately, compleated within two and a half days with great service and clean up at a competitive price. They are an Owen's Corning certified installer and offer a lifetime warranty that can be transferred one time if you decide to sell your home. I also had Gibson replace my gutters at a very competitive price. The work was great!I would give Gibson my highest recommendation if you decide to replace or repair your roof.

Our roof had a few leaks last month during the rainy season and Steve gave us an estimate for a new roof and I said we needed it reroofed within the next 2 weeks. I was scheduled within the week. It was completed in just over a day. All the shrubs and landscaping looked great, as if no one had been there 2 days before to tear off an old roof , and install a new roof. Everything is clean and the roof looks great. I would hire them again. Thanks Gibson Roofing.

After calling around and getting countless astronomically high quotes for my 1100sqft shop, these guys came in far under everyone else. Steve is a really good guy to work with and communicates very well (Even with customers like me who have about a million stupid questions). We'll be adding a lean to this shop eventually and I won't be calling anyone else. If you think that because you're paying a lower price with this company quality suffers, then you're wrong. This roof and materials are as good as the roof I payed double for on my house.

They showed up and had the entire shop dried in within an hour. The whole job was completely knocked out in a day.

If I were you I wouldn't even waste my time calling other companies. At least call Steve first, you won't be disappointed.

To sum it up, they're a good company, who stands behind their work, insane value for what you get, and fast!

Their customer service is fantastic. Jesse came to assess the problem. He was punctual and always kept me apprised of what was happening. I had Two of the three skylights leak during the short freeze we had. The work crew came out and managed to redo all three skylights in one day. Of course we had to wait for a pretty dry day to do this . They redid the ice barrier, flashing and tiles. They even took pictures to show where it leaked and how they fixed it.
They are a Class A company and will use them again in the future when I need a new roof and also recommend them to anyone I know.

Told me he'd get a quote to me for the suggested relatively minor repair work but after not hearing from him for 2 days I left a voicemail...2 days later I left another voicemail...a day after that I called and got a nice woman who seemed to have taken my information and relayed the message. After another 3 days I called another roofer. I think Steve, like many contractors, lacks effective time management. Don't promise a quote if you don't have time to do it, simple.
