Arrival promptly. Cleaned my roof off as well as the gutters which had accumulated lots of debris and moss on top of the gutter guards. Cleaned all the gutters and then cleaned up all the debris that accumulated on the decks. Very efficient and they did a fantastic job. Have used them for years. Highly recommend.

Excellent business! I used them since they seemed to be recommended frequently in our local Facebook groups, and did not regret it. The process to get a roof replaced was very smooth with each step. They are very professional, communicate well, and they brought a large crew to do the install, and it was done within half a day.

GH Clark just completed the replacement of our roof. The crew did an excellent job. Every member worked hard, was very professional, and made sure all our questions were adequately addressed. Completed the job in a very timely manner. Didn't find a single piece of debris on the ground after they left. G.h. Clark was a pleasure to deal with. We replaced our gutters through them. This is a family run business which we liked and they had competitive prices. We dealt with Gil senior the founder of the company and he was very transparent about the process, costs, etc. There was no hard sell, just a good business transition. It has not rained yet at the time of this review but I hope to test these gutters out soon. I met with 4 companies prior to working with G.H. Clark and we essentially picked them for their price and interaction with Gil senior.

We had GH Clark replace our roof. They met all their dates, showed up with a large crew, completed work within a few hours. And cleaned up! Highly recommend this company. Friendly, professional. So glad I chose them after a couple quotes from others. And neighbors love the new roof too! Thank you for a job well done!

I woke up to the sound of a roof leak dripping down the inside of a wall where there was no place for a bucket. Based on positive comments on a list maintained by my community, I called G.H. Clark right at 9 a.m. and by 10:20 Gil was at my door. He did a thoughtful diagnosis, carefully explained my options, and did not over promise. To my surprise, he then pulled a two-story ladder off his truck and went up on the top roof, even though a frigid drizzle was still falling. After a careful inspection, he came down, showed me pictures of the problem area, explained what could be done, and then spent another 45 chilly and wet minutes up there doing it. Then he packed up and explained what he had done, again with photos. It is not -- couldn't be -- a permanent fix, but the immediate leak stopped and Gil clearly outlined my options. When I paid my very reasonable bill, I included a note suggesting that Gil's boss be told what a great company rep he is. Turns out Gil is the boss, but who knew?

And Later,

Gil was right that the initial fix was not permanent, and I foolishly tried to stretch the time too far. But when the leak started again, Gil once again responded immediately, stopped the resumed leak, and then acted promptly to implement the permanent fix I knew I needed. He and his crew did what they said they would for a very reasonable price and, during this most recent rain, it's bone dry inside. GH Clark could have taken advantage of a situation I foolishly created and they did not. I really appreciate their honest, fair, responsive, and professional work.

My husband and I chose GH Clark to replace the siding and windows on our house and to replace roof and siding on our shed.

Over the last 40 years I've used a number of home improvement companies in Calvert County, Maryland. One of them finished a room and put wallboard over the light switches. Another didn't correctly install a shower supply line and water ran down the inside of the wall for hours.

And then there's G.H. Clark. Once we found them, there can be no other home improver on our property. Their most current job was our new roof, finished correctly in a day, as promised, and no loose nails or other debris left in the yard. The company's staff are a pleasure to work with and their respect for our property has always been evident in every job, on every house, since we discovered them many years ago. G.H. Clark did an amazing job with our gutter replacement. They were very responsive and quickly provided an estimate. The estimate was well priced and extensively beat other estimates we had received. Levi was awesome to work with, very professional, and guided us with what we needed. We had major issues with our old gutters overflowing during heavy rain, so we had 6” gutters with gutter guards installed, and they worked perfectly!! This business G.H. Clark is one of the most professional I have had to come to my home to provide a service. During a windstorm 3 pieces of roof shingles came off. I made a call to the Clark Contractors to report this to see if there was damage that would require me to replace the roof or if that which was damaged could be repaired. A very professional young man named Levi came to my home in a timely manner to assess the damage and found that although 3 shingles had been dislodged, he saw that this was an easy repair. It took him not more than 20 minutes to assess the problem and to repair it with the understanding that there would be no problems after he had completed his work. It is such a joy to see this kind of professionalism and kindness that was shown by the staff of G.H. Clark to put my mind at ease. I truly want to publicly thank the staff of G.H Clark and know that the best marketing tool that can be made is word of mouth. I received damage to my house recently and I called to see if they would come out and provide a proposal. since they are a local company. I was told that since I was not a past customer, they would have to take care of there current customers before they would be able to help. Cleaned up a mess from a previous contractor. Great to deal with from A to Z. Have them lined up for another quote that I'm sure we'll be accepting. Each staff member I dealt with were great. The onsite crew which did the job were just as good although we didn't speak exactly the same. Never the less, I'll use them again.

Overall a great experience. Very professional, excellent work, and accommodating of additional work requested mid-job. They had to come out four different times to wait on BGE to turn off power to an overhead line, but were very patient and helpful. Would definitively use again and recommend to others.

I contracted with G.H. Clark for what was, in essence, a complete exterior renovation of my townhouse. The scope of work included: roof replacement, gutter system replacement, three new doors, six new windows, and complete re-siding of the house.

In short, I am incredibly pleased with how everything turned out. The transformation of my house was really amazing and it looks even better than I could have imagined. I was given outstanding guidance on color choices and material selection with absolutely no "up-selling" or pressure to purchase something that I did not want or need. The end- result was a virtually new, modern-looking house with many low-maintenance features that still fits in stylistically with the rest of the surrounding community. This is exactly the outcome for which I was hoping and I really could not be happier.

I also have to say that it was a real pleasure doing business with G.H. Clark. I selected them primarily based on their sterling reputation and it was wonderful to see, first-hand, that it is very much richly deserved. Every single person with whom I interacted was professional, cordial, knowledgeable, and always ready with answers to any questions that I had. They also went the extra mile for me, doing a temporary fix on a broken piece of siding and cleaning out my old gutters until the new items could be ordered and installed. All of the new products were installed with the utmost attention to detail and clean-up afterward was incredibly thorough. Similarly, the communication process throughout this long project was excellent. I was very appreciative of all of the efforts that were made to keep me informed as this greatly alleviated what otherwise would have been a very stressful situation.

I contacted G&H Clark in mid Aug. for a leak in our roof water was leaking down the wall and in the house, I was told they could come out and look at it but they could start for about 2 weeks to do the work. They came out to look at the job and see what was needed to do the repairs, Gill said they would may need a day to do the work. I couple days later I received an invoice 08/31/2020 and I agreed to have the work completed I paid what was owed. Almost 3 weeks went by I hadn’t heard anything about scheduling to do the work so 09/17/2020 I sent an email someone answered me back said they would be here a week later 09/23/2020 between 8-9 At least now I knew I had a scheduled time for the work to be done. They came rite between the time they said they would be here and just over 3 hours later the job was finished. They still had to install an attic fan but they said it didn’t come in yet they it was supposed to be in the office within a day or two that was 8/24/2020 after finishing the roof work. It wasn’t a rush for the attic fan the weather has cooled off but still a phone call to be put on a schedule would be great. I received a call on 10/29/2020 that the fan came in and they would be out tomorrow between 8-9 I said I’ll see ya then. Well, 0800, 0815, 0830, 0845, 0900 still no one I had to leave 0910 my wife stayed home I called her at 1015 still no one there finally 1033 I received a call from them they would be there after 1200, I was told they had to put some fires out in the office that morning some communication would have been great. They showed up at 1230 and were finished in under an hour. Do you think it would be ok if I didn’t call about my bill for such a long time? They surly weren’t late holding that invoice for what I owed just over 24 hours and the invoice is in my email.

Now that all the work if finally finished they did a great job and left no mess. Just a little more communication would have been very nice especially the last trip to the house was extremely disappointing, they knew they had an appointment CALL say your going to be late, luckily I was off but I still had other things to do. My hourly time is just as valuable as there is!

I would use them again.

When a tornado struck our property on August 4th, 2020 my first call was to Gil at GH Clark Contractors who had installed a new roof in 2008. Gil and his team drove right over, navigating closed roads and down trees to inspect the damage and cover our home. The estimate was nearly exact the amount allowed by our insurance company so no out of pocket cost!
That kind of caring customer service and excellent workmanship is why I only call GH Clark for our home contracting needs.

I was lucky and found them after spotting the work sign in my neighbor's front yard in broomes Island. So I suffered storm damage to my house roof. I contacted some other contractors around Southern Maryland and waited weeks! Yes weeks for someone to come out to provide an estimate. After waiting on these contractors who said they would be out the next day, just went on for 3 months of excuses. Then while driving past a neighbor's house I seen the GH Clark crew at work and was impressed. I seen there sign that's placed in the front yard and gave them a call. I have to tell you my experience with GH Clark was nothing but professional from the day I made the first phone call. They were very responsive and did what they said they were going to do plus did a couple extra repairs unrelated at no charge. They assisted me with my insurance company claim process. Thank you goes out to Marcia, Mitch, Marisa, Steve, and Mr and Mrs Clark and the work crew (10) who did the work on my house. Did I mention it took 1 day?
