Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a contractor. Working with Diego and Astrid at George Smart Services for a roofing replacement on my Alpharetta townhome has been a nightmare from start to finish.

This company operates unethically — they make big promises to earn your trust, only to trap you in a contract filled with hidden clauses. One clause, which was never disclosed during initial discussions, states they’re entitled to 20% of the roof replacement value if you choose not to move forward with them. By the time I realized this, it was too late — the contract was signed, and they started revealing their true character.

The materials quoted were subpar, unexpected out-of-pocket costs piled up, and communication went downhill fast. What should have been a straightforward project turned into four months of stress, delays, and financial loss.

GSS also hired Alpha Public adjusting company to handle my insurance claim which charged us another 15% of the total claim value. This was never communicated to us and reduced the available funds for our roof replacement.

Please save yourself the time, money, and frustration — stay far away from this shady and unethical roofing company. I regret ever trusting them.

Love the work done on my home and especially my new roof. I have gotten lots of compliments on the roof. I had damage from Hurricane Helene and they did an excellent repair and replacement. They handled everything with my insurance and kept me completely informed along the way. The work was done efficiently. I was absolutely surprised at the clean up from a fallen tree. They went above and beyond in my opinion.
I will certainly use them again if I have any construction needs.
