Working with the Gennaro team has been a pleasure in so many ways. The start was so professionally handled from helping pick materials to getting accurate estimates. AJ , Josh and Chris were available by phone to quickly answer all my questions and keep me informed on each step.
The project began and ended on time and Zack, Steven, Josh and Chris were so respectful of us and our property.
They cleaned up daily after work and had a cleaner in once they were done.
I have had several experiences working with contractors and these guys pleasantly exceeded all of my expectations.

Built me a beautiful deck with patio cover. Was even able to guild a ramp for my elderly mother-in-law to be able to access our yard again! So pleased, will definitely hire again when needed.

We love love love our new deck! Makes our house look so much better! The quality of the work and professionalism of the team was outstanding! All the guys who built the deck were great! Personable, dedicated artists really. They have gone above and beyond to help us out and keep things within budget. I would highly recommend them if you want quality craftsmanship. Once water damage and rot were discovered behind our cedar siding, the Gennaro crew quickly and efficiently replaced one side of our house along with a cedar chimney. I was especially impressed that they took the extra effort to make sure the replaced house trim matched the existing structure. Jenna, AJ, Zack, and Gage were all professional and delightful. I highly recommend them.

Gennaro guys Jeff and Walter did a good job rebuilding a former study into a new primary bedroom with a great closet. Thanks guys!

We had Gennaro’s team replace a few exterior walls of cedar siding that had seen rot, warping, and general decay over time. Walter, Gage, Kaya, and Jeff did an extremely thorough and quick job and were professional and friendly while doing it. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of each work day, which we so appreciated - as demo and wood work can quickly become a major mess if not kept on top of.

We were also impressed that the job came with such a communicative project manager, Josh. He kept us informed and helped troubleshoot as unforeseen issues came up along the way. He even came by over a weekend to resolve an issue that came up due to a heavy rainstorm.

Overall, the entire crew we interacted with was very thoughtful and patient with us, helping us understand how things worked along the way without making us feel like fifth graders. We will definitely consider them again for a future project!

We would like to highly recommend Gennero Construction and their great team of carpenters, electricians and plumbers. They readily and efficiently jumped in to remedy and complete the dreadful, costly remodel the previous contractor had up and left us with. We want to especially thank Jenna, our go to gal for all her help and her promp and clear communications.

We had major work done by Gennaro on our 2.5 story by 30' wide SunRoom which is 45 years old and involved 30 windows, mostly nominally 36"x78". They were mounted on 4"x6" Cedar beams. There was also some rotted wood that had to be trimmed out and replaced, and some additional work and materials to support a weak point in the framing.

The work crews were fantastic people and 'bent over backwards' to meet our needs. They had to come back to find and repair 5 leaking areas. They put in a lot of extra time and work to make sure all leaks got sealed up.

None of the windows are vertical but all on a slope. Andersen would not Warranty the windows because of the slope, But Gennaro warrantied all their work and said they would be sure that there were no leaks. So they stand behind all their work and design.

Again, I cannot emphasis enough that the work crew people were all great and seriously wanted to make sure we were happy with all their work.

Had a pump house / workshop rebuilt. AJ came over and gave me an estimate, a little high, but with the prices of materials these days, I understand.

Gennaro Contracting did an excellent job replacing my existing deck and house sides stairs with this beautiful TREX. They were punctual, prepared, and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Gennaro did a great job on an interior re-insulation and ceiling replacement on our A-frame. Josh helped guide us through a nasty wet roof surprise, Zach ran the site in a courteous and friendly manner (daily walkthroughs at the end of every day were great!), Kaia and Walter did some highly creative carpentry and Brendon did a great job as well. All four were always willing to talk us through one thing or another as we were living on site and had a lot of questions. Mat deserves a shoutout for flexing onto the project halfway through and Jenna, Troy and Josh even rolled up their sleeves and put in some work late to try their best to keep the project on-time.

We highly recommend AJ & team and they'll be our first choice for any future work.

I had Genero construction come out for a bid on new construction for window installation. They came on July 15th and now on the 22nd of August they are requesting blue prints after they had already came and measured. really seems like they lost my measurements and forgot about the house with 37 windows. Really sad that they are ok wasting customers time, Was hoping to keep the job local

The Gennaro Team did an awesome job! They used reclaimed material from our old deck, and added it to another existing deck off the front porch. It took some creativity to get it to work with the reclaimed material and existing structure, but you would never know now by looking at it. It flows together nicely with no seems. We highly recommend Gennaro Contracting!

I want to express my thanks for such great customer service and professionalism from Jason, Steve and John at Gennaro Contracting for doing such a great job for me and my family. We needed a patch up job for our porch because the wood was getting too much water damage and rotting out leading my family to believe that someone could get hurt. Jason came out and assessed the situation, I told him that it was our plan to completely replace the porch in the next few years, but in the meantime we needed to make it safe for our family. He asked my budget and was considerate of the materials I wanted to use. Within the same day he got me an estimate under budget and we were soon scheduled with Steve to come out within the next few days. Steve came out with the materials ready to make a day of the job. During demo Steve ran into a problem, we had concrete directly under the wood on our porch which may affect the cost, so he called John over to check it out. Our house was built in 1970 and had been renovated several times so this was unknown to us. John came down and assessed the situation, he was very considerate of my budget and continued to seek what I needed with every suggested solution. When we agreed on a solution, John made a verbal agreement with me to cap the cost at exactly my max budget. John then went out and got the extra needed materials for Steve so that he could finish the job that same day.
When the job was finished and I got the final invoice, I had found out that John spent more for the materials than my capped budget, but he still kept his word and did not charge me for them, that makes Gennaro Contracting a business you can really trust. The project went great my family and I couldn't be happier, we'll be sure to reach out to Gennaro Contracting when it comes time to replace the entire porch for the dream porch.
Also shout out to Kat in their front office, she worked so well with me in resolving a discount my wife had won almost a year ago at the Bite of Shelton, through their promotional booth, which increased our savings on the project.

Very professional, good finished product. Had to wait a bit to start because they were booked out but seeing the finished product I can see why. When you are good, you are in demand.

Gennaro Contracting was a joy to work with. AJ came promptly for an estimate and sent the written one within a couple days. Steve and Vincent plus a couple others were very thorough and efficient in their work. They were a delight to have around and kept their workspace clean and left our house in good order when they left for the day. We had a flood that required new floors and 1/4 up several walls and new ductwork. The floors, walls, trim and door frames all look very professionally done. You cannot tell where the old and new wall meet. They had a reasonable estimate and were able to work within those perimeters. The communication with the office administrator was very helpful and she kept in excellent contact with us. She always answered my phone calls and questions in a prompt and courteous manner. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Steven and Vincent did a great job installing my dad's new window. They were very professional and updated us on their progress as they went. At the end they cleaned everything up.

This is the fourth time we've used AJ and his crew and in each case we have found them to be respectful of the fact that they are working in our home, and the quality of the work has been great. The quotes seemed to be high at first, but when we checked with other contractors we found that the prices were reasonable, and we prefer to work with local people we can trust. We love our new bathroom!

I have been using their yard cleanup service and I live in a very wooded and heavily treed area. Lots of leaves and debris constantly falling. These guys do an excellent job blowing raking bagging and removing the waste. They are friendly and courteous and professional. It always looks so great after they have gone.

The guys did a great job on our floor! And they cleaned up every night before leaving and got the job done in the estimated time. We are very pleased with their work, and we would definitely use them again for another project.

We chose Gennaro Contracting, not because the price was competitive (which it was) but because AJ was by far the most courteous and reliable contractor we met with and showed genuine interest in our project. His team completed the first phase of the job (exterior painting) with care and attention to detail and were respectful of us and our property, cleaning up and clearly communicating the status of their work at the end of each day. AJ Gennero is timely, conscientious, careful and skilled. He has done numerous projects for us; including installation of 3 windows, painting, carpentery work, deck powerwashing and staining. He is always professional and considerate. I cannot more highly reccommend him.

AJ painted our living area walls and trim and refinished our kitchen cabinets with meticulous care. He also cleaned our roof and spread anti-moss powder on it. He is is a conscientious worker and a pleasant person to work with. We are very pleased with the outcome and would recommend him highly.

Hired AJ and his co-workers to prep and paint our 2-storey home in multiple colors. They also did some gutter and deck repairs. The work was completed in a professional , timely and reasonably priced manner. No need to prod to get things done, and they were always friendly and easy to work with. Would certainly hire again.
