I would call Rudy again in a heartbeat. Very responsive, kept in contact, and was on time even in the rain. He was professional, courteous and kept the workspace clean. 10/10

We needed help with a demolition of our master bathroom. It was so easy and fast to submit photos through his website and receive a quote. The quote was fair and detailed. We knew exactly what to expect. He was so clean and careful during the demolition and provided excellent updates. Everything was clean and professionally taken care of during the whole process. We were completely satisfied with the results. We will definitely use him again and highly recommend him.

Rudy was very responsive, efficient, and the quality of work was spot on. He made multiple repairs throughout our home and cleaned up very well after himself.

We could not have had a better experience working with Rudy! He was fantastic, both from a quality of craftsmanship perspective, but also he’s just very kind and thoughtful. While working in our basement, he noticed water dripping off the roof into the window well. He said it shouldn’t be doing that and asked if he could take a look at it for me. He got a ladder out and climbed up and fixed a small issue that was causing water to leak out of the gutter and he did it for free.

We had him remove a couple of walls, install a new door, and install some new lighting and baseboards and it turned out better than we imagined. He was able to match the new ceiling and wall texture to the existing texture seamlessly. Before and after pictures attached.

We’ll be having Rudy back for future projects and would recommend him to anyone.

Rudy replaced an existing kitchen vent and installed a new vent hood over our stove. He was great, and we wholeheartedly recommend him. Rudy was very skillful and attentive to details. He was also very pleasant to work with, and we appreciated how he cleaned up everything at the end of each day. He finished right on schedule and at the quoted cost. We will definitely call on Rudy again.

If you want some work done around your house, he is your guy! Everything was done so well, and I am so grateful to find someone who cares about what they do.

Rudy Ortiz's company, Gate City Handyman, replaced facia, soffit, and gutters, and constructed a roof water diversion feature for our nearly 100 year old house. All work was completed on time with exceptional quality and attention to detail. Rudy was easy to work with and kept us informed throughout the process. We are very pleased with the result.

Rudy focused on the job and gave us great updates & ideas on our projects. We started with one project, then after seeing the excellent results, went forward with another. If you knew my husband, you'd know how detailed & particular he is. He has too many irons in the fire and has no problem now having Rudy help with completing some jobs. That's how confident we are with Rudy's work.

Rudy is phenomenal. I would recommend him to anyone. He took his time with each repair I needed in my home and made sure everything was absolute perfect condition. He cleaned up after himself and even moved my furniture back! His communication setting up the appointment and during it were top notch. I will DEFINITELY call on him for future home repairs!

Rudy was great! We had a cabinit that was very old that needed fixing. We had someone else take a look and they could not fix it, however Rudy took care of it! He did a great job. Additionally he was very polite and cleaned everything up when he was done.

I contacted Rudy after hearing good things from a co-worker. He was very communicative via email and text, arranged a home visit within a few days of my original inquiry, and offered detailed estimates for the work I wanted done. He also offered professional and respectful feedback regarding my ideas for the spaces—where they were feasible or not, and whether they would add substantial cost—and followed that with suggestions for containing cost and/or work for whomever does the job. I didn’t feel pressured. When I asked for revisions of two quotes, he was again prompt, and also discussed a potential discount! We haven’t proceeded with the work yet, due to my own family’s stuff, but my experience with Rudy so far has been awesome.

Rudy was quick to respond. Addressed all my questions in a manner I could understand and comprehend. Took the time to explain the process so that I felt comfortable. Was very respectful of my home and cleaned up at the end of every day. Kept me informed throughout the job and really went above and beyond. Did a beautiful job.

Rudy did a wonderful job he did quick and right. He even did a little more than was in the description but still the same price. 100% recommend him.
