Galvin & Sons Masonry and Construction

During the historic torrential rains in Western MA in July of 2023, my 1850s stone foundation basement was suffering unprecedented severe leakage and water infiltration. Based on the positive Google reviews of Galvin and Sons Masonry, I called them for a quote on foundation repair and watersealing. My call was returned promptly, and Jason even came to my house on a Sunday evening because of my busy schedule. I received the quote promptly and was told that my work would be done in October or November, given the many jobs on their schedule. In early September, Jason wrote to share that they could begin my work the following day due to rescheduling of jobs based on weather conditions. Jason and his Dad arrived promptly the following day, and completed the job in 1.5 days. My "new" basement looks great, and will prevent infiltration of pests as well as water. I had a minor issue with some water infiltration after the first big storm following the work; Jason responded promptly and remedied the leak. I couldn't be happier with the quality of their work, and on a personal level Jason and his Dad were a joy to work with.

Galvin and Sons came to the rescue when the rising water table and rains flooded the basement of my 123 year old basement. They installed footing drains and repaired the foundation. Jason was easy to communicate with, knowledgeable, and professional. Very nice people! Highly recommend.

Honest, Gentlemen, Craftsmen. Three words that I don't use lightly. Jason and his dad epitomize the definition of those three words. Galvin & Sons Masonry have done work at my home and my mothers home. The chimney repair at my house is invisible. Look around at your neighbors chimneys and I bet you can see a line where there chimney was repaired. Good luck finding the repair at my house. My moms front steps were peeling with bad paint and crumbling with a bad home repair. I feared replacing the steps or covering them in expensive stone were the only options. After Jason and his dad were done they look new and at a fraction of the cost I was expecting. If you want a good laugh, ask Jason about squirrels and lead chimney flashing!

When we started noticing cracks in the walls of our foundation of our ranch house, we contacted several contractors to access the situation. They did not come up with solutions to properly fix the problem and some even refused to attempt such a difficult project. We then contacted the Galvins, who we discovered were located in our hometown of Hadley and they not only said they could complete the project but provided us with details and a prompt estimate to solve the problem the right way. This entailed lifting the house off the foundation and replacing three of the walls and footings. Tony and Jason are the real deal! Not only were they very knowledgeable about the process but they were also very friendly and considerate about keeping the inconvenience of such a huge construction project to a minimum while we were living in the house. We found them to be honest, trustworthy hard workers and the quality of their work is top notch. We would highly recommend them for any project, big or small. We were so lucky to find them!
