If the managers spent less time on their email funnels and more on supervising their staff, I might be able to give this company a better rating. They did an appallingly poor job on a spring clean up: blowing dirt all over my patio areas and failing to clean it up. They kept me waiting three weeks longer for another job than indicated. They refused to discuss these concerns, threatened legal action when I withheld payment, and were throughly unpleasant to deal with. I am so pleased that I will never have to deal with them ever again.

Better View and their Team are top notch and are super easy to hire and work with. I submitted a request for service via their website and the sent me an email super quick to setup a phone call to discuss our needs. They answer the phone when you call , return emails and overall great to work with.

Their team are friendly and knowledgeable as well.

My lawn looks healthy and tidy. I keep bees there, and Better View Landscaping uses only products that are not harmful to them. I also count on Better View for snowplowing in the winter. So effective that it seems like half of the leaves from my neighbor’s property were leaf blown over/under/through the fence into my backyard instead. ((And yes, this part is hyperbolic, it wasn’t half, but it was a lot of leaves. There were also a lot of leaves blown on my other neighbor’s property as well. I watched them do it ‍♀️. I know that in using a leaf blower that perhaps some of this is unavoidable, but it was way more than a reasonable/unavoidable amount)

When we bought our home, the back acre had been cleared years ago but not maintained, so we had a thick patch of thorny growth and grapevine that made it impassible to the nearby forest. Initially we just wanted it all cleared, but Tori had some great ideas to make it into something far more beautiful. Now we have a meandering path through wildflower meadow, a fire pit, a fruit orchard, and a playing field that has completely changed our yard. Would highly recommend Better View for your design needs!

We have used Better View, previously Lawn Jockey for many years. We chose them to design and install the landscaping, stone patio, walkways, and pergola at our new home. Their work is superior! Tory, the owner and designer, listened to our ideas and presented pictorial views of all the elements for approval before beginning work. The stone work and plant installation crews were skilled craftsman, professional, and knowledgeable. We are very pleased with their work and enjoy the many compliments from our guests.

I have been using the services of Better View Landscapes for decades. They do a thorough job with seasonal clean ups including removing leaves from a dozen oaks. I especially appreciate the attention to details like cleaning the drains and porch areas.
They designed and built a beautiful dry “stream “ of river rocks with lovely flowering plants and bushes and a stunning Japanese maple. The landscape has been very pretty as it matures and acts as drainage on a steep hill as well.
They also keep my driveway and walk clear of snow and ice in the winter. I really appreciate how dependable they have been. I highly recommend them.

We have been using Better View Landscaping for our winter snowplowing needs and have been very pleased. We have a complicated driveway-parking situation and they do a great job prepping drivers on how to navigate the tight turns and place the snow where it needs to go. We always get plowed out in a reasonable time-frame and the communications about upcoming storm plans are excellent.

Early days in our working relationship, but the initial work done on cleaning up a number of beds has been exactly what we wanted. The crew were very efficient and courteous, and asked for clarification when needed. We're not big fans of leaf blowers: they are rather noisy and we worry about annoying our neighbors. But they certainly get the job done.

Every autumn, this company has done our fall yard clean-up: the crew blew all the leaves from the shrubs and lawn and removed all the loose materials. Outstanding work!
Also, the company installed a retaining wall to prevent a slope from deteriorating. That wall and the plantings they installed have stabilized that location.

Better view Landscaping does an excellent job with keeping the customer up to date on when they will be performing the task that needs to be done. For example I use them for snow removal and they do and excellent job. They are always following up with an email before and after the job is complete.

We are really happy with the service we receive from Better View. The office staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful, organized, and responsive. We have also met with the owner, on several occasions, who kindly shared a considerate amount of time, effort, and knowledge to help us with a significant patio project after we had our pool filled in.

I hired Better View Landscaping to replace an existing patio and install an outdoor kitchen. They have been very respectful through the whole process. The quality and care that each crew member demonstrates is something that you don't often see anymore. They have treated the project as if its their own home. There have been issues which is expected with this size of a project, but each time Better View has stepped up and done the right thing in addressing the issue. At no time did they make my wife or I feel that we were being unreasonable with we brought any issue to their attention. I highly recommend them for any project or routine job that you may have. Its a breath of fresh air that some companies still focus on quality and not how fast they can complete a job so they can move onto the next job.

They were very responsible and trustworthy mowing and also snow plowing a home that was empty at the time. When they broke a storm door by mistake, they took care of replacing the glass. Polite and conscientious.

Tory has a great design plan for us and Rich is working hard on our patio project but as we all know you cannot control the weather. We have had almost 13 inches of rain this month and it started just as they started excavating. I am confident that the job and plan will proceed well!

Better View Landscapes ripped out an old raised garden, and hydroseed my lawn last year. The lawn was in bad shape last Spring. I watered the lawn regularly through the summer. By Fall, there are still areas that the grass are not growing. I called them, and they came to aerate the lawn and reseed some of the areas. This Spring, the lawn looks great. I also have them trim the bushes last year, and clean the gutter in the Fall. This year, I continued to use their lawn maintenance program. This summer, I have them weed and mulch the front and side of the house. It looks great!

They are responsive. We communicate mostly thru emails. Billings are all done electronically. The weeding and mulching was quoted as Time & Materials. All the other works were Lump Sum. I prefer lump sum for budgeting purposes. I will continue to use their services for future projects.

The staff are the most outstanding. Whether it is summer or winter, leaves or snow, the workers are ALWAYS friendly, helpful, attentive, accommodating. Your satisfaction is their goal, and they are willing to listen to you to better understand what you want, to make that happen.

Used them for plowing my gravel driveway, which can be a challenge. Prompt quote, a-la-carte options, patience with all my questions as a novice, courteous service, and storm updates made working with them delightful. Highly recommend.

Our condominium association hired Better View Landscapes (BVL) about a year ago to provide year-round property maintenance including snow and ice removal in the winter and lawn mowing, fertilizing, and weed control in the summer. Previously we had contracted with several different companies over the years for these services, none of which proved satisfactory. But so far we are very pleased with both the workmanship and value provided by BVL.

BVL offers an extensive, cafeteria-style menu of services. You can choose exactly which ones you want without having to pay for any you don't need. Their preferred method of payment is to be given your credit card number, which they will hold on to and charge upon completion of each service or each instance of a recurring service like mowing your lawn. As an alternative, we asked to be billed weekly for services performed the previous week, which we then paid for by mailing a check every week. Obviously this arrangement involves more paperwork, but it gives us as the customer more leverage should any problem or dispute arise. But so far it's been smooth sailing and we commend BVL for agreeing to this payment method. I believe they also offer an annual "fixed-price" contract where you pay a one-time fee up front for everything regardless of how many mowings you lawn needs that summer or how many snowstorms occur that winter. This can be a bargain if it's an unusually snowy winter and a good option if you're risk averse or have a strict (but generous) budget.

We also believe the prices BVL charges for routine services like mowing the lawn or plowing the driveway are very reasonable. They're less than or about the same as other companies we've employed and the quality of the work is better.

Another thing we like about BVL is the excellent communication from the head office (via email) advising customers of upcoming work to be performed, changes in service schedules due to weather conditions, etc. This is especially welcome in the winter so you know, for example, when your driveway will be cleared following a snowstorm. BVL also proactively solicits customer feedback from time to time asking you to tell them what they're doing right or what needs improvement -- and in our experience they act quickly to address any concerns.

Finally, we've found the crew members that work on our property to be polite and eager to please. If you've got a patch of lawn that needs a little extra attention or some windblown debris that needs to be picked up, they're happy to do it (assuming, of course, it's not completely out of scope of what they've been contracted to do).

We had BVL do a brand new patio and firepit for us in 2020. We love it! Their work is high quality and our installer, Rich, was professional and courteous.

We did find that our grass quality doesn't match what we have down and is less lush than the seed we currently grow.

We have used Lawn Jockey over the years for a number of services, including mowing, pruning, mulching and fall clean up. They are always responsive, professional and do high quality work. Their friendly staff has always been good to work with

We chose Lawn Jockey based on our friends having a great experience with them. The Owner Tory met with us and discussed at length what we wanted, he then came back soon with a plan(a 3d design) that encompassed all that we asked for: the type of plants, the colors, and the layout. once we nailed down the details and decided to mover forward Aaron their operations manager set a start date, the were there on time, and finished it up in a timely manner, too. The construction team (and plant install team) was meticulous, they were easy to have around, and cleaned up every day. The office person, Jess, was helpful too. We are very happy with the project and recommend them without reservation.
