My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased with the work that Jed Schackner did. He was a true partner with us from the day he and his crew started to the final day of the project 2 and 1/2 months later. The 16 x 16 screened-in porch is now the biggest "room" in our house. It is more than we could have imagined. Firstly, it looks like it has been there since the house was built back in 1952. One of Jed's goals was matching the roof line on the new porch with the garage roof and the small entryway to the basement. He got it just right! The lines of the house are fantastic. The porch itself is a dream. Beadboard throughout. Screens that look like they're barely there. A composite floor that nicely mimics weathered board that you would find in a beach house. What else do we love about our "new" house. A new front entryway enhanced by beautiful, white railings that require no future maintenance and match the white trim of the house that was added when it was completely resided. At the end of every day, whether it was 5:30 or 7:30, Jed and his crew thoroughly cleaned the work site. On the day that they finished the railings there was lots of small residue all over the front yard. He vacuumed the lawn! You never would have known it had served as a work site for 2-3 days.
