Ed French & Son Asphalt Paving

Ed and Levi replaced my old gravel driveway with a beautiful asphalt driveway. ​There was some ledge in the middle of my old driveway. They brought in a hydraulic jackhammer mounted on a bobcat to break the top 12 inches or so off of the ledge before installing the new driveway. The driveway is now 1 year old. It looked great when it was installed, and it looks great now. They did a great job at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend Ed French & Son.

I had an excellent experience with Ed French & Son Inc. They did a fantastic job paving our home driveway. I dealt mostly with Levi and his customer service was top-notch. We had a minor mishap with our sprinkler company soon after the driveway install. A small section of the driveway was damaged, but Levi promptly addressed and fixed the issue. I highly recommend them for their professionalism and quality work!

I live in westerly and Levi and his crew took out my old junk driveway and put in a much bigger and better driveway. I have over the years had paving done and can say that without a doubt these guys were the best. The crew knows their craft and did a great job. The price was also good. Will use them again!

The Westerly Masonic Foundation hired Ed French & Sons Paving to replace its 50+ year old 22,000 sf Driveway & Parking area. The quoting process was simple, clear and professional. We had six other paving quotes and although French's quote was not the lowest , the Foundation felt it offered the best bang for our bucks. I can tell you that we were not disappointed. They showed up when they said they would, they had plenty of the right equipment to do the job and their crew was not only experienced, but they worked in unison as a team to provide a great looking finished product. We would definitely recommend them.

The entire process was seamless from start to finish. My husband said that Mr. French and his sons were professional, efficient and easy to work with. The crew that was here for the morning were kind to our two toddler boys who were psyched to see all the machines. Thank Ed French and Sons!

Ed and Levi and the whole crew did a great job with laying down a new driveway at my home. They had the right price and took care to make sure all the details were done correctly - a nice smooth blacktop finish, the edging, the drain, making a clean cut at the street, smoothing out the loam-- everything. Would highly recommend them!

No one better. These guys paved my driveway, cut trees and mulched them for my kids playground area, dug a 500 foot trench from the street to my driveway so I could connect to town water and spread loam perfectly level when I was putting in my lawn. My neighbor also had his driveway paved by Ed French and Son after seeing their work. Very responsive and affordable. These guys have built their reputation on the quality of work done and they ensure the job is done right.

This company is fantasic. I also made the mistake of using millings several years back. Ed and Levi advised me not too because of the grade. The driveway is mostly hill and about 500 feet. Over time the material broke down and started washing away. Even though I saved money in the beginning I now had to remove this material to do what I should have done the first time! Fortunately they helped with the removal and paved half the driveway which is what we could afford at this time. It came out perfect and they will be coming back to do the entire thing when we can afford it. This company is a family business and cares more about their customers than the paycheck. Only paving contractor I would recommend in this area!

My driveway had so many cracks and was breaking in several areas. They did an excellent job and turned my single driveway into a double.

They also informed me on how to take care of the driveway. I would hire them again.
