With timely communications he patiently answered all our questions and concerns, guiding us through each step and explained what to expect next.
The material delivery via crane truck was an exciting experience. Mr. Aramis' and his crew replaced both house and garage roof in one day. Every yard and garden item they had to move was replaced in its original location. They were very respectful and highly professional. Amazingly, there was no evidence our property had been a worksite!

Recently retired and thinking of downsizing, I realized that my 25-year-old roof would soon need to be replaced.

I obtained an evaluation from one of the local roofers and learned that my roof replacement would cost $32,000.to include several upgrades to satisfy the current Fauquier County building codes. Sticker shock paralyzed me as I contemplated and prayed about how we could possibly cover this unexpected expense.

One week later there was an answer to my prayers. My wife retrieved me from my basement down-sizing activities telling me that “some guy” was on the front porch claiming that we might qualify for a roof replacement at practically no cost.

Skeptical, I went to the front door where I met Barry Turner from Freedom Roofing & Exteriors. In a low-key, no-pressure manner, Barry explained that one of Freedom’s co-owners was a trained insurance adjuster and they used this expertise along with historic weather data to locate storm-damaged homes.. Unbeknownst to me, a localized severe hailstorm had occurred in my area about a year earlier.

I agreed to a free inspection where Freedom personnel used specialized techniques to evaluate and record storm damage to my roof, gutters, and window screens. The amazing thing is that the damage was not readily visible to the naked eye.

It was obvious that Freedom had unique expertise to assess storm damage. However, the question remained regarding their ability to provide quality roof repair. Barry’s explanation of the roof replacement materials and methods included the same upgrades as the salesman from the prior week. An internet search indicated Freedom was a reputable class-A company.

I called my homeowner’s insurance carrier to file a claim, and Freedom took care of all the rest. They met the insurance adjuster at my home to ensure all the damage was duly noted. My insurance company agreed to pay $34,000 to replace the entire roof, damaged gutters, and window screens. My personal cost was a $1,000 deductible!

Talk about Divine intervention!!

After receiving the initial insurance payment, Freedom coordinated with us regarding color and type of roofing materials and. scheduled a re-roofing date. The roof was replaced in just two days by hardworking crew from dawn to dusk. Afterwards, I climbed into the attic during a heavy rainstorm and found no leaks. I carefully inspected the grounds and found only two nails; the landscaping appeared untouched. As an extra bonus, the Certainteed shingles have a lifetime warranty.

Portions of my roof are copper, requiring the highest level of trade skill in metalworking. Freedom personnel exceeded my expectations in this area as well as with the gutters.

Freedom’s personnel and workers were friendly and knowledgeable professionals. Crew foreman, Ruben, was an articulate communicator, always explaining his point of view but not insistent that his ideas were the only way to accomplish a given task. Likewise, Luca was helpful in simplifying the various costs and insurance claims and payments.

If I were asked for one word to describe Freedom Roofing and Exteriors, it would be INTEGRITY. I asked many questions and wanted to explore various options during the repair and reconstruction. Barry was always available and responsive, willing to discuss options and provide cost estimates for comparison. When uncontrollable issues occurred, Barry would call and give me the straight story. When damage occurred that was within their control, Barry was quick to assure the repair would be made at their expense.

The bottom line – I am 100% satisfied with Barry and Freedom Roof & Exteriors for being my advocate with my insurance claim and 100% satisfied with the replacement work accomplished on my shingled and copper roof, gutters, and window screens.

First off I never leave reviews. If you are looking for roofing or any exterior service for your home STOP looking, you have found the best. We used Freedom roofing to have a new roof and gutters installed after a hail storm unbeknownst to us. Barry came to the house and asked if we were aware of the storm which caused damage to our roof and gutters along with the garage doors. We were offered a FREE absolutely no obligation inspection of our roof. Once the inspection was done they found enough damage to the house to go farther. Which means insurance company getting involved. I know I really wasn't motivated to start this process. Barry and his team said no worries we will take it from here. From start to finish Freedom roofing took care of everything from starting the claim to meeting our insurance adjuster at the house to verify the damage. Once that was done the initial estimate came back from our insurance company and freedom roofing even took care of the adjustments that they missed. As for the crew and work TOP NOTCH, very polite, very professional. It was a 3 day job (we have a big roof) after each day you couldn't tell anyone or anything was being done. that is how they kept everything clean. These guys are bar none the best contractor we have worked with in Northern Virginia in the past 25 years. Trust me you have found the best. I highly recommend Freedom Roofing for a new roof installation. Kory walked me through all the steps to contact the insurance company to get the roof replaced. The reason I contacted Freedom was in my neighborhood there are many roofs being replaced and as I walked my dog, I would see which companies kept the work area clean, respected the homeowners property, and if the roofers seemed to know what they were doing. My neighbor used Freedom so I was able to observe them all day. They were very respectful of the home they were working on, as well as mine. They kept the work area neat and clean and did not have trash blowing around the neighborhood. They finished a rather large house in less than a day and they left the home with absolutely no trash left. I had the same experience when I had them install my roof. The crew was very polite and considerate, and let me know if I shouldn't go outside. They were finished in a day and I did not find a single nail or any trash in my yard. They did not damage any of my shrubbery or trees, which I was very concerned about. Kory is very knowledgeable and his crew is top notch.

Freedom had a quote to me within the hour and a crew out the next day. We need more businesses like this one in America.

From the start our contractor Luca Sansone was amazing! He came to the house did the evaluation of the roof and told us everything that needed to be done and then he handled everything from there for us even meeting my Insurance Company for us so we didn’t have to miss a day of work . Then he set up to have the job done and when they came out to do the work they were on time , friendly and fast . I was so happy with the quality of the job and how great my new roof looks and best of all they cleaned up the mess so I didn’t have to do anything!!! Months after a severe hail storm i was approached by Luca and Barry with Freedom Roofing and Exteriors. They showed me from the ground the visible damage to my roof. They were very thorough with the damage discovery as some of our fascia aluminum needed replacing along with all of our copper roof accents and a new upgraded garage door. They handled everything, including engaging my insurance company, all i did was sign on the dotted line. Due to rain entering the area It took 1 1/2 days to complete the roof. My wife and i were very pleased with the completed job. From start to finish it was an absolute pleasure to work with them.

Once they found out that insurance wouldn`t pay for a roof, they had no interest in the job, even though i explained i was willing to pay for it. They said we will come by and send you an estimate, no further response. I have no use for a company that wont stand behind their word.

All I can say is this Roofing Team really blew us away from start to finish. The project manager Luca Sansone first approached me at my front door several weeks after the hail storm this past June. I had previously been approached by several other roofing contractors but I just closed my door and didn't worry about my roof because I couldn't visually see any damage. Then right before I was going to close the door on the 5th roofing contractor, "Luca said just give me 10 minutes of your time and I will show you pictures of your roof in real time and if there is no damage or if in fact there is significant damage then I will show that in pics". He said if there is no damage then your fine going forward but if there is damage he said that he could show us the way to get a new roof. At that point he peaked my interest immediately. When Luca came off the roof with the pics that showed real hail size damage all over the roof then I said come on inside and lets talk. At that moment he explained that we would have to reach out to our Home Owners Insurance carrier to have their claim specialist confirm his findings and see if they were going to pay for the new roof. Well I almost fell off my chair when our insurance carrier said they would pay for a brand new roof. So the date was set this past August and the 9 man crew showed up at 7am and finished at 1pm and I almost fell off my chair for the second time. I couldn't believe they gave us a brand new roof in 6 hours. All we can say is this Roofing Team needs to be cloned I kid you not. They were on their A game from start to finish. If we could give them 6 stars we would. Freedom Roofing was outstanding. Completed repair in a timely manner per the contractual agreement and within the insurance claim adjustment estimate. Fully understood the Home Owners Associations requirement for approval prior to execution of work and specifications to ensure "like-like" was adhered.

Very responsive and very professional company. They helped us deal with insurance company every step to replace the damaged roof after the big wind storm in March. They continued providing support after the job finished and responding your message on time. Highly recommend them if you need help.

Regret!!! That is the feeling I had shortly after signing my contract with Freedom Roofing and Exteriors. I wanted to go with a local, small business and I thought I was making a good decision. However that decision came crashing down.

After signing the contract, you need to put down a deposit so they can order the materials. I was waiting for the initial check from my insurance company. The Project Manager, literally would call me every day asking whether I had received the check. I told him I would let him know when I received it. On a Monday or Tuesday (exact day slips my mind). I told him I would have the check on Friday. The Project Manager STILL called me everyday checking on the status, even though I had told him when I would have it.

When I gave the initial deposit, radio silence.

While in this waiting time, I discovered a leak coming through my sons ceiling. Pretty much every roof around our house, the contractor had tarped the roof. Freedom had not, they said the insurance said it didn't need to be tarped. I believe that some of the other contractors took the initiative to tarp the roof prior to the insurance company coming out to protect the roof. I wrote a scathing e-mail to Freedom and they took pictures of the damage and submitted the claim to my insurance. (They said if insurance didn't cover the claim they would do it for free. A decent gesture, but since insurance covered it, more $$$ in their pocket. More on this later)

I was told materials would be delivered between X time and Y time, and please have your vehicles out of the driveway. Materials came before X time and my wife had to move the cars, while dealing with 2 small children.

I received a call from Freedom telling me they were going to be getting to my roof soon, and would let me know when the roofers would come. Imagine my surprise when I go down stairs on a Saturday morning at 7 am and there are roofers prepping to start my roof. No call, no nothing. My roof, took about a day and a half for the roofers to complete. My neighbor, with a much larger, more complex roof. Less than a day.

Back to the ceiling leak. Freedom came and took pictures and sent them to my insurance. After not hearing from my insurance company for a while they asked me to follow up. I called and they didn't have a record of the submittal (this was my insurances fault as the insurance person handling my claim had left the company). A few days later my Project Manager from Freedom called as said the claim had been rejected and they were submitting final payment information to the insurance. A few days after that, my insurance called to say they had approved to claim. The Project Manager straight up lied to me!!! The insurance company would have called me if they had rejected the claim.

Ceiling in my sons room gets painted. The painter they used was awesome! Best part of the whole experience. A sub-contractor.

Then the calls/text begin again wanting money again, Project Manager screwed up invoicing, so he had to fix that.

Pretty much the whole 6 month process has been a horrific nightmare. My neighbor asked who I used for the roof and I told him not in a million years would I use them or recommend them to anyone.

Freedom Roofing helped us replace our roof after hail damage this spring. They were easy to work with and Barry was nothing but honest and extremely helpful. Our insurance company had denied our claim and I was just going to let it go, but Barry came by offering their services and said he would work with them to provide the proper eveidence we needed for approval.

We took a chance and it was awesome! They know their stuff and do roofing very well! Would highly recommend them!
