I've had Pete come out to my house twice to assess water damage in my basement. Both visits he was extremely professional and helpful with helping me find solutions for my problem. We dealt with a different foundation company for many decades. Just a few weeks ago we called them for a routine check on our sump pump, battery and foundation. He told us of an expensive foundation problem and said he’d email our contract later that night. The contract arrived with few details and several issues that concerned us. Thankfully, we were listening to WMUZ (103.5 Fm) and heard a commercial for Foundation Restoration on Bob’s show!

I right away contacted Foundation Restoration and shared details with Angie. She contacted Randy, who promptly called me. A few days later Randy came out and checked our situation in ways not done by the other company. Randy confirmed that we indeed had a problem but unlike the other guy, he detailed a solution…and gave us a printout of our floor plan, beams, supports, etc. The other company never produced details like Randy and Foundation Restoration!

We signed the Foundation Restoration contract, gave a deposit, and a date was promptly set up. The day of the work three guys diligently worked together on a very HOT day. In spite of the weather, they did a great job—and we noticed how wall cracks and gaps closed once the beam and jacks were gently raised. “Thank you” to Jeff, Nick & Nathan!

Great response time and repair of a crack in my basement wall. Professional and courteous workers performed repair and took the time cover TV to protect it from dust. Highly recommended.

I called this company to come give me a quote on repairing my exterior stem wall all around the house. Setting the appointment was a breeze and the office staff was very nice. After doing some research online it looked like it was going to be a very expensive project for me, but the salesman came and told me that I did not need anything done at all. There was nothing wrong just a few cosmetic cement cracks that could be easily repaired with cement which had no impact on my foundation or my walls after all. Took him all of 5 minutes. He could have very easily have giving me very bad news but instead he was honest about it. Nowadays especially in this economy it is very refreshing to find a company like this that is friendly and honest and seems sincerely interested in helping people, not just making a dollar. Although I didn't need them this time, I am sure to call them if the need arises ever again and I will certainly recommend them to anyone needing foundation repair, etc.

Randy is awesome! He completed an inspection for a house I was going to buy and he uncovered a huge foundation problem. He took the time to explain the problems and turned around a quote quickly for the repairs. I recommend Randy for anyone needing foundation work!

Ben did a fabulous job identifying an initial home construction error by the builder that caused my floors to sink. Ben has been doing Project Work Orders for 15 years, and has been in the construction business before that for another 15 years. He likes to solve "puzzles", so he was the perfect guy to figure out what was happening to my home. I purchased my dream home in 2020, and in the 5 years I've been in the house, settling has caused some damage. I live on a lake, with an encapsulated crawl space, and I noticed the floor moldings were getting separated from the floor, also some of my tile had been losing grout and tipping back and forth, there were several stress cracks on walls, and doors that would not close properly. Ben went subterranean and within 30 seconds saw the problem: My 2" x 10" floor joists travelled a distance of 17 feet from the middle of the house to the edge of the house. That's way too long of a span without support. He developed a detailed drawing of the fix, which involved several metal I beams and several jacks that pushed the I beams up to the desired height. Work was scheduled for the next week and the 3 man crew (led by Jeff), protected my home with drop cloths, and kept the house amazingly clean and finished the project In 1 day. Immediately the issues I had noticed and documented were fixed.

When I started considering this project I thought it would be scheduled several months in advance, but was very happy to be scheduled so quickly (within the next week of Ben's assessment). (Angie actually called me to see if the crew could come a day earlier than our scheduled time because they were available, so that's also pretty cool)!

Obviously, I'm very, very happy with the whole process and outcome and highly recommend Foundation Restoration. There's many reasons they receive so many 5 star reviews.

Our basement had a steady leak that seemed to worsen after every rainfall. The floor was typically full of blankets, towels, and absorbent items. I heard about Restoration Foundation on 103.5FM WMUZ. Randy, a manager there, came to take a look. He assessed, took measurements, and offered his reliable expertise. He was courteous and experienced, finding the leak source in no time with our garden hose. After he presented two possible solutions, I made the down payment at the office in Rockwood. While there, I observed that this is one of those rare businesses where everyone seems sincerely friendly, willing to serve, and made sure I was cared for. Two different crews contributed to the job on two separate days. The first lone-man crew taped up a plastic barrier to contain the debris and unhooked our washing machine. He explained to me precisely what he had performed. He was friendly, professional, and experienced. The second three-man crew completed the job. They were also friendly, professional, and experienced. The work was completed with care, no mess, and thoroughly. Randy offered two prospects to answer a separate concern on a finalizing text. Today had the pleasure of having Jacob Lemaster from
Foundation Restoration. Jacob was very friendly and concerned on solving a issue without getting into my pocket. I thought I had a issue with what I thought was a crawl space in my home, which was really considered a basement on a bie-level home. Issue was with storm pipe and a plumber issue. He went into full detailed explaining to my issue. I felt and knew he wasn't out to rip me off. Where he was my 2nd opinion on trying to resolve my issue. Another company told me I needed a sump pump and encapsulation and more with a high quote. He showed me on his tablet where and how storm pipes work. I mentioned in my kitchen where my pipe in floor had sewerage coming up and had a plumber out tell me about the same thing as Jacob. Where other company quoted me a lrg amount of money and eager to get me to sign. When trying to find a company to resolve a issue it's hard to trust. And Jacob off the back made me feel relaxed. He wasn't pushy and did a explanations of everything. I recommend the company for there not out to get you. But help you. Thankyou Jacob

Jacob Lemasters was the specialist who came to my house to help take a look at our area in the basement that was leaking water. He was very nice and professional, and took the time to explain everything. He did a thorough inspection, offered to help remove some dry wall out of our closet to make sure it wasn’t coming from behind there, and went above and beyond to explain everything to me. He found a gas line going through our wall that looked like it was leaking water before, due to having some marks on the wall he noticed. He wanted to test this out, so we used the hose to flood the area outside, and sure enough, there was the water leak coming from that spot on the wall. He saved us thousands of dollars from a water proof / sump pump system in our basement that was not needed. The inspection and his service were free, which was so nice! I would recommend this company and Jacob to anyone who needs a foundation company / specialist!

They came out and looked at our basement. We were told that everything was good, but it was just cosmetic repairs that were needed. They did a wonderful job. They were very professional, clean, and answered any questions we had. We will definitely call them for any other work we need!!!

We had a leaky basement (Harper Woods), and Foundation Restoration dug a drain and installed a sump pump system (including a dedicated outlet and discharge to our yard). The entire team was professional and responsive throughout the duration of our project. During the initial assessment, they provided us with multiple options to address it. Pricing was very reasonable, and the office was proactive in scheduling both the assessment and the installation. They also handled all the permitting and inspections. I have squeaky floors so that was my reason to call foundation Restoration.
Ben came out to see exactly what the problem was. After he checked things out it seems that when the house was built ( in the 50’s ) they did things different back then. He explain to me how the hardwood flooring was done back in those days and unfortunately there was nothing he could do . Ben didn’t try to sell me anything that I did not need. He was very nice and polite.

Foundation Restoration was such a pleasure to work with! Every member of their team was kind, professional, and clearly communicated steps and expectations. We are now able to walk around our late 1800’s farmhouse with confidence. The floors that used to bounce and sag now feel firm and secure. This is easily the most enthusiastic I've ever felt to write a review. From start to finish the team we worked with at Foundation Restoration has gone above and beyond any expectations we could have had.

I reached out to them because we had a crack in our wall that another business told us required helical piers to remedy. They quoted us at $32,000 for the job and me, not knowing much about construction or foundation work, thought that seemed plausible. I wanted a second opinion, though, and wound up getting an inspection from Pete with Foundation Restoration. Right away he was able to rule out pier work - explained to me exactly why that wasn't the issue and immediately got to work figuring out what the real problem was. He knew this was all new to me and what the previous quote was - could have said they'd do the same job for $30,000 and I would've believed him. Instead he went over all my concerns and was able to address each of them in layman's terms, explaining what he thought was urgent, what he thought could wait, and what he said I didn't need to worry about. All told, the job he outlined would cost $7000 and would entirely reinforce the center of the house that was buckling due to the weight of a fireplace that had been put in without proper support.

I was just grateful to have a bill a fraction of what I'd been braced for but I was still anticipating a complete upheaval of our home while the work was being done. I couldn't have been more wrong. The entire process was seamless! Despite their being numerous electrical issues to work around (Kevin, the electrician they sent, did fantastic and expedient work to resolve) and a cramped workspace to work the joists into - someone fitting 14' boards through a gap between a steel support beam and HVAC vent system that left far less than 14' to work between - they were able to have the entire job in a single day! And again, through every step of the process Pete was happy and eager to answer any questions or concerns I had - including about general house concerns and other potential projects where my lack of knowledge was leaving me anxious and uncertain about what repairs to prioritize and what to leave for later.

Would recommend Foundation Restoration enthusiastically and without reservation to anyone! A delight to work with through and through. Couldn't be happier and the peace of mind we have now from having this work finished, and knowing who to call for any concerns or projects in the future, has been just as valuable as the work they did.
