We needed fairly extensive jacking and supporting of our floors from under the house due to poor construction in 1978. I did the easy half of the house several years ago but now I'm to old to handle the hard half. Not much room and lots of obstacles.
Very few companies would even bid the job. Groundworks came out and wanted $17,000 plus to do the job.
Eric came out and assessed the problem. He gave us a straight foreward assessment and described in detail what should be done and what could be done. Their three man crew came out and did a two day job in one one day. Very professional and working hard all day.
We could not be more pleased with the results.
Working in a tight crawl space is one of the worst jobs I can think of and they did it with 0 complaints.
Kelsey was always on the ball and got me answers to every question.
I highly recommend Foundation Restoration and it's people.
Oh! Almost forgot. The price was far less than half of what Groundworks wanted. Groundworks is very similar to LaBella, or talking to a car salesman.

Recently, I had the fantastic opportunity to work with David from Foundation Restoration on a property inspection out in Nooksack. We were dealing with some tricky issues in the crawlspace, including support concerns and dry rot, which can be quite the headache for any real estate transaction. David’s meticulous approach to the estimate was nothing short of a lifeline.

His detailed examination and the subsequent report were pivotal, providing us with the critical insights needed to navigate our negotiation process. It’s one thing to identify problems, but understanding their extent and how they impact a property’s integrity and value is another. David brought a level of expertise and clarity that made all the difference. Working with him felt like having an expert ally on our side, making the daunting process of addressing crawlspace and dry rot issues far less stressful.

Foundation Restoration, through David’s exceptional work, proved to be a key player in ensuring the property’s issues were thoroughly addressed, giving us the leverage needed to move forward confidently in our negotiations. His professionalism and dedication to thorough, understandable reporting turned a potentially complicated situation into a manageable one.

I live in the Fountain District and Foundation Restoration did interior drainage work on my basement. My basement was flooding constantly. Foundation Restoration came out and diagnosed the problem. My wife and I thought they were excellent from start to finish. Knowledgeable, competent, accommodating, quick to respond, and always able to answer questions. And just genuinely nice people. I'd give them 10 out of 5 stars if I could. Honestly, Foundation Restoration is of the best companies I've worked with in Bellingham. Highly recommend going with them.

I want to first state that the work done at our house was excellent and timely and the field workers were professional and kind. The issue and concern we have with Foundation Restoration is a lack of transparency. We had 32 posts replaced under our house and were given a "lump sum" estimate that we signed and agreed to. It was communicated to us that the work would take place from 10/31-11/2 (roughly 3 days). The job wrapped up yesterday and in total it only took them one full day and 3/4 of another. We received our invoice this morning which literally just had a one sentence description of the work followed by the remaining balance. I appreciated their promptness in getting us an email and requested that we could see an itemized breakdown of how our $8k+ job was delineated. All I was looking for was to see how much of the $8K+ was going to labor and how much was going to materials. After three different exchanges they are still refusing to give any information.

Our house was flooded last year and over the course of 8 month repairing our home we have worked with numerous companies. EVERY company we have worked with has at minimum given us a breakdown of labor and material costs.

I'm frustrated because I genuinely believe the cost for our project was estimated significantly higher than the actual cost and Foundation Restoration is unwilling to specify their labor/material costs so they can hide behind a "lump sum" estimate.

For these reasons, I would NOT recommend Foundation Restoration.

They were honest and did everything they could to solve my basement issues within my means. They were also very helpful in getting together all info I needed for my legal situation regarding my basement issues long after they were finished with the work. Great company to work with from the front desk to the guys working in the mud, with an owner that truly cares about his customers.

We asked around for referrals to get our sump pump replaced, and installed correctly. Every person we asked referred Foundation Restoration. The guys were thorough in their initial evaluation, respectful of our home while working (plastic was laid down to protect the floors), and they had great communication at every step of the process. Hopefully we won't need to do another sump pump anytime soon, but we'd be happy to work with FR again in the future. Thanks guys!

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
