Edgar was the 5th general contractor that I contacted to build an artists studio. GC's 1-4 were either uninterested, gave out excessive bids without examining the drawing or thoroughly discussing the project, or feigned interest and never followed up. Their arrogance is probably driven by being too busy, building "their way" instead accommodating the wishes of the client, and already used to gouging clients who are over-anxious to get a project going. But enough of Edgar's competitors...

He was prompt in arranging a site visit and after a short discussion he told me he could handle the project. The building plan included site work, foundation, construction, electric, plumbing, roof, windows, interior finishes, a bathroom and kitchenette, stucco and a hundred minor issues that were solved collaboratively. I would estimate that we made two dozen changes from the initial drawings that enhanced the plans to our satisfaction. Edgar made as many suggestions all in the spirit of the studio becoming a truly custom space. Some suggestions added cost to the base bid and some were merely improvements that could be included without relentless cheesy change orders.
He has substantial experience regarding construction techniques and materials used in the southwest and his base of knowledge is remarkable. He is trustworthy.

All in all we couldn't be happier with his product and customer service. All in all we couldn't be happier that none of the first 4 GC's didn't go forward. Edgar is professional, personable, honest, experienced, caring, and timely. I wish I could think of more superlatives to describe our experience but you can trust that his company has the best interest of their clients. I can recommend his company without reservation.

We own a home in Angel Fire and needed to have our two old decks demolished and rebuilt with Trex decking and Trex railing. One deck is 16x12 and elevated 8 feet above the ground. The other deck is 16x14 and elevated 6.5 feet above the ground. Three steps connect the two decks with stairs up the side of the house to access the higher deck.

I can't say enough about how pleased we were with Edgar Juarez. If I could give him six stars I would. Edgar is just an outstanding craftsman. He also offered excellent suggestions to make our project look even better such as installing the Trex decking in a "picture frame" style instead of just straight across the deck. When we weren't able to be at the house Edgar sent us pictures and videos of the progress which was really helpful. The project was completed within the time frame Edgar had initially given us and with no surprises.

It has been a pleasure working with Edgar. I hope to use him again on any future projects we have at our Angel Fire home. I highly recommend Edgar and Forever Home Custom Builders.

Edgar did some exterior plaster repair work for us. He showed up right away and was flexible with us on color match issues. Good value for the money. Would definitely use him again.
