I bought my timber frame and SIPs from Vermont Frames and Foam Laminates as a package deal, and could not be happier with both. The SIPs themselves are indestructible, easy to use, and their system of securing and sealing them is rock solid. The built-in chases lined up well, the design work that went into making sure they fit the frame structure well was spot on, and they even pre-cut the roof panels before shipping nearly perfectly to allow for the onsite installation to go twice as fast. Great product, great company, great partnership - they would be the first call I made if I were going to build again.

Used them with my timber frame (From VT Frames) back in 1999 & 2001. These panels are indestructible and very effective! That said, piece of advice, DO NOT have your contractor try to save you money by using cutoffs from some pieces in hopes of returning a few panels. The electric conduits won’t line up and your spray foam will not fill in correctly, effectively creating empty uninsulated slots in your walls. Follow their directions to the “T.” Update to this review: I have since found significant mold and rotting of the OSB in a few of the panels in my home. The panels are only as effective as the protection around them. In my case, built in 2001, moisture leaked behind my clapboards onto the panels... This becomes bad and when I have them fixed we are going to have to scrape the OSB element off, re-glue new plywood, reseal and wrap it more adequately.
