From the initial reach out to the scheduling to the amazing crew showing up and getting the job done in one day, I really couldn't think of anything that would have made this experience more positive for me as a homeowner.

The roofing division repaired my carport roof and I’m quite happy with the process. After the original estimate and some miscommunications, I decided to wait on the project. When I picked it back up some time later, I was informed that the estimate I was originally given was wrong. The new estimate was LESS!
The job took longer than they hoped for ( one day) and someone called me at work to let me know their trailer would still be at my house for an additional day. Such great communication! When they were done, they cleaned up thoroughly (unlike others I’ve worked with in the past).
It was a pleasure to work with Vermont Construction. I hope to secure them for additional projects.

We have never experienced such a hard-working and meticulous crew. The first day, they worked from 6:30 AM to 9:00 PM, completing our large residential roof midday on the second day. Clean up left the house and grounds spotless. All of our ornamentals were protected with large tarps. The support staff were also friendly and responsive. The estimate was fair and only changed minimally, which we were informed could happen. Calls and emails were returned promptly. For what could have been an experience fraught with complications, this all went very smoothly. They even put back several garden ornaments that were set aside for safekeeping.

The entire experience working with Vermont Construction was exceptional! They did an outstanding job in every aspect of the project! Read on if you want my detailed review on why I highly recommend them for your next roofing project. I first met with Elena Houriet who took me through the estimate and answered all my questions promptly, even the one on Memorial day, which she answered within less than an hour!! In addition, the construction phase was also a fantastic experience by all accounts! I've been on roofs since I was a teenager helping my Dad on family and friend's roofing jobs. Since then, I've spent many days installing or repairing roofs on Boy Scout summer camp buildings. I've stepped back from roofing over the past few years, so had the pleasure of watching the Vermont Construction crew replace the roof I installed 25 years ago on our house. Although I watched a lot of the work, the roofer in me felt compelled to help both on the ground doing cleanup and a bit on the porch roof. Our roof is about 25-30 square and it was a roof over, so they actually had two roofs worth of material to get into the disposal trailer, by my estimate about 5 tons worth. This was primarily accomplished by two women that worked extremely hard over a 12 hour workday that reached almost 80 by afternoon and yet were amazingly meticulous at the end of the day cleaning up the small bits and pieces. My sincere Thanks to them for their work ethic and a job well done!
This was also the case for the roofing crew that never slowed down, even at the end of a very long day. They too were extremely meticulous about making sure everything was done to a rigorous installation standard. Although not a steep roof, it had 5 separate sections, so added complexity to the job that required extra time and effort to get it done properly. I was extremely impressed by their work ethic and skill in installing our new roof. And since I joined in and helped one of them install the small porch roof section I saw firsthand the attention to detail in making sure it was done perfectly. They are the best!!

Vermont Construction has our total gratitude for an outstanding job! We had heard from a friend that they did a nice job on their house project and combined with our experience with them they have my highest regard! And yes, they held to their price estimate which I felt was very competitive.

We appreciated that because of a rainy weather forecast, VCC began work on our project the afternoon of the day before it was scheduled. The crew stayed until 8 PM in order to finish. I am so grateful to Vermont Construction for their amazing work replacing my roof. From the start, Gerry encouraged me to ask as many questions as I wished. I asked questions over the course of several months, he answered promptly each time. As we got closer to the work date, Jenna was so helpful clarifying colors of each roof component. Both Jenna and Rob would return my calls immediately. What impresses me is their emphasis on communication, and respect for their customer. Bryon and his crew who replaced the roof showed up promptly at the time Bryon informed me they would arrive. They were extremely efficient with set up, really a joy to be around. They obviously know their craft well, and their highly organized, unified effort was remarkable to watch. They paid close attention to all the small detail work.The crew took time to protect all my plants, they cleaned up thoroughly. At the completion of the job,Bryon walked around the house with me and answered any remaining questions I had. The morning of the following day the dumpster was collected and remaining supplies removed. How a crew can work so fast with such precision is certainly magnificent.

Vermont Construction Company did a beautiful job replacing the rotten facia on my house with PVC. Their quote and cost was fair, communication good and follow through and follow up excellent. I will definitely plan to use them again for future work.

We had our roof replaced in May, 2025. It was super fast and the crew of men and women were awesome. Everyone knew their job and they never stopped moving! Parts of the roof had some plywood that needed to be replaced. It was coming with one phone call and the work never stopped while waiting for it. To watch them was fasinating. Crew leader was excellent. Would definitely recommend them.

Working with Jordan in the roofing division was a pleasure. He came to the house, answered our questions, organized the estimate, helped schedule the job, returned phone calls/texts, and checked in to make sure that all materials (dumpster, etc.) had arrived (and were later removed, after the roof was finished). Jordan was communicative, prompt, and above all, friendly. A great point person!

The roofing crew was amazing; they did the entire roof in one day (removed old shingles, installed new ones, and cleaned up the property). It was clear that the roofers have been working together for some time; they had systems in place that allowed for a smooth and safe experience.

The roofing team led by Brian was prompt and efficient. Quality work with quality materials. I would guess our home isn't easy to re-roof because of the multiple peaks and valleys with a steep pitch. All of the debris from the old roof was collected and disposed of before they left the property that day.

The roof looks great and the staff were very efficient and timely. The only thing is that we found many nails in the driveway. We had to go through our driveway with a magnet to get them all. Otherwise we are very pleased.

Vermont Construction installed a new roof on our barn in March of 2025. I owned a commercial construction company for over 20 years and based on my experience, the team that removed our old shingle roof and installed a new metal roof was professional and performed quality work. I will hire them again for my next roof project. The project superintendent, Jose, went out of his way to make sure I was happy with the project and answered all of my concerns and questions. From set up, to roof removal and installation, to clean up it was a job well done!

Vermont Construction spends an astronomical amount of money on advertising to present an illusion that they are competent construction company. For new construction stay far FAR away from these guys. They are extremely disorganized, unprofessional, negligent, and possibly crooks. They have no skilled in house laborers, can’t hold on to employees, and have no strong relationships with sub contractors. The word is out about these guys and I believe the success of their company has peaked. It also appears some negative google reviews of them have disappeared. I will check back every once in a while to make sure my review stays. The good people of Vermont need to know how morally inept The Vermont Construction Company is.

We were in a bit of a bind when a different contractor backed out of a job mid way through. We called Bennet and he was able to take care of the biggest part of the problem and make the worksite safe for the public. Even after some complications they made sure to come in on budget!

Everyone I dealt with during my residing were very very professional. Mike was awesome when providing me the estimate and got back to me quickly with answers to my questions. Martin and his crew were great! They worked quickly and efficiently. I am very happy with the results!

The installation of siding on my home was incredibly smooth. From my initial inquiry to the final day everyone was professional and exceptionally helpful. I strongly recommend!

A very impressive event took place as the team from Vermont Construction Company re-shingled my residential home. Chris Russell explained the process and the documents and he answered my questions about the process. Everything went like clockwork. Very efficient. After the team completed the work, the cleanup was amazing. Neighbors viewing the progress during the day were also were complimentary about the day long event. I would definitely recommend Vermont Construction Roofing as a satisfied customer.

(Note: this rating is based solely on communication.) So far not impressed, and the roof work hasn’t even begun. First, scheduling the work was delayed as I missed the clause in the contract that indicated that the work wouldn’t be scheduled until I sent a deposit (my bad, but after I sent the signed contract there was no communication!) Ultimately got the deposit to them, finally got a date on the schedule, quite a ways out. That day (today) finally arrived, I got up early to await the roofing folks and proceeded to wait around until noon when I called to see if there was something amiss. No, nothing amiss, finishing up a job elsewhere and would likely be there around 1 or 130 pm. Waited… 1 pm… no one. 2 pm….no one. 3 pm… no one. 4 pm, getting dark, I called (again) to reschedule. Next available date: one week later.

Not sure why they never arrived, but it would have been nice to have known once it was clear they weren’t going to make it. Someone had to have known earlier in the afternoon.

Hoping I can come back after the work is done next week and say how happy I am and improve the rating I’ve given, but communication alone gets 1 star. Sorry.

Vermont Construction Company's roofing team showed up early one Thursday and had the job completed by mid Friday. They worked like a well-oiled machine and didn't leave a scrap of debris. The roof looks great and was completed with zero interruption of our routines.
Gerry Howatt came out and did the evaluation of our roofing needs, providing an estimate in a timely manner. He was always available for questions and recommendations, and got the ball rolling quickly. VCC is a professional organization with top notch employees.

We had a great experience with VT Construction Company. From their speedy response to our initial inquiry, to their tight turn-around time for the job itself, to the great new roof we now have atop our house, we'd go with VT Construction again for sure!

I hired Vermont Construction Company to install a new roof on my home in October of this year. The Account Manager, Cale DuBrul, helped me to decide between having my ridge cap, only, replaced or the entire roof. He was honest and forthright about explaining the pros and cons, and I ultimately decided to replace the entire roof. Within two weeks, I had a new roof, which a crew of three people installed on Halloween day. They worked tirelessly and carefully from start to completion. The young man heading the crew, who was very accommodating and efficient, answered my questions and showed great care to ensure that I was satisfied with his explanations. They left my property clean and free of debris. Unreservedly, I recommend Vermont Construction Company. They know roofs.

They went above and beyond to help us with our roof in South Burlington! Will definitely be our first call with any other issues.

Overall I would say they did a great job. My only recomendation would be if they could have one person on site who could be a good point of contact. The 3 workers that were here on the day of the install were all nice, and did good work, but the communication piece was a bit challenging. So having someone there you could talk in detail about the work and any issues that may come up would of been nice. But overall it was all good and we will still use them for future roofing needs.

"We know roofs." Elena came to my house to meet me, look at my roof, take pictures, talk. I liked her immediately. Especially her t-shirt. A few days later I had my estimate. A month later I called to tell her that I'd like to book the job. Fall was here. If she didn't have time, that was okay, we could book for next year. That same day or next, Elena contacted me and said they could do it. A few weeks later, the crew showed up. Earlier than planned which was okay with me. It was a crew of five or six. Two women, three/four men. They all had their jobs and went about doing them. No one talked much. To watch this well oiled machine of a crew go about taking down the old and putting on the new was something else.

They started at 8AM.
They were done at noon.
They even had time to demo an old shed of mine.

The crew that replaced my barn roof (roughly 60sq) with multiple roof lines and a cupula that needed to be shifted and then put back in place once the hole was covered was phenomenal. I would highly recommend Vermont Construction. I worked with Paula to choose with roof option (asphalt vs metal) would both look good and have a reasonable cost. I'm very happy with the end result.

We had used them a few years ago for ceiling work and they did a great job, so we used them again for a lower roof that needed new shingles.
Rob was great to work with and promptly provided a quote. Supplies were dropped off the day before scheduled work.
The 5 person crew arrived at 6:30 am on the scheduled day. They were hard working and completed the job within 4 hours.

Very pleased with our new roof. A professional and efficient crew. They took their time to complete the job. Not a rush job by any means.

Finding a roofing company who would call us back, or send us a quote after they came out to look at the house, was quite the wild-goose chase! The Vermont Construction Company - Roofing Division sales person came out to see us pretty soon after we reached out, and had a couple of quotes back to us very quickly (we were curious about the feasibility of a metal roof, but ended up settling on a mix of asphalt shingles and EPDM).

Once we signed the quote, we were put in touch with the scheduling person, and while we had initially intended to do this project in the fall, we had a hard time finding a week of weather that seemed like it would cooperate. While VCC-Roofing normally does roof replacements in a day, we wanted to put some insulation in hard to reach spots in our attic while the roof was off, and they helped us make that happen. VCC coordinated with our contact at Energy Coop of Vermont so that both teams could work on this project simultaneously.

Overall, we're very pleased with the end result and the new roof has greatly increased the curb appeal of our house.

The crew from Vermont Construction Company arrived early one morning in May and quickly started work. We had chosen this company to replace our roof as we felt we needed an experienced company to handle the somewhat irregular roof structure. The house is a comtemporary Victorian and has a number of roof surfaces as seen in the aerial view taken a few years ago. In addition to the main roof there are covered porches on three sides of the house, a sun room (seen on the right side of the house), an attached garage, and an eight sided conical roof over the master bedroom. A few days prior to their arrival, their supplies (shingles and rolls of plastic under-layers) and a dumpster were delivered as scheduled. They also brought two replacement sky lights for the office in the second floor of the garage. The work day started with part of the crew removing the old shingles while others laid tarps over the open decks and shrubs around the house to protect them from the falling debris. Throughout the day, one or two crew members were assigned to picking up the old shingles from the ground and transporting them to the dumpster. At the end of the work day, all of the main parts of the roof of the house and garage were complete with the new shingles, leaving only the porch and sunroom to be completed. Although they had said that most of their jobs are complete in one day, they asked if it were acceptable if they returned the next day to complete the job. This, of course, was acceptable as I didn't expect they could fininsh it in one day.

I was impressed with the quality of their work and the professional manner with which they went about it. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who plans to replace their roof.

This company did a great job! Gerry was very good to work with, he answered all my questions, as well as Kelsey once the project started. The team of guys that came at 7:00 am and left at 7:00 pm were very fast and worked hard all day! They also cleaned everything up nicely. I couldn’t believe with the size of my roof that it was all done in one day!

This spring, I had water damage in my pantry from a roof leak. Connor Beaupre from Vt Construction was assigned for the repair work. The project involved shoring up the existing wall structure and sheet rocking the walls. Mr. Beaupre completed the complicated project with efficiency and intelligence. He went out of his way to keep costs at a minimum and I am very happy with the result. I will continue to work with VT Construction in the future based on my experience.

The high wind storm in January ‘24 wrecked our roof. At dawn the following morning, we were shocked to see the amount of shingles stripped off. VCC was the first call we made, and ultimately the best decision period. From communication, cost estimate, temporary repair, to total replacement VCC was an absolute pleasure to work with. We have a large, complex roof and a detached garage, which we felt would take days to finish. VCC showed up in force at 7am, and to our amazement knocked out the whole job in 12 hours!
