I was in the roofing business in Illinois so I know the business. I am too old to get on my roof any more so I called First Rate. The owner Ethan came out right away, gave me what I thought was a fair estimate for a repair. Within a week his repair guys did the job. They were extremely nice, courteous, and respectful. Did a great job. I got a follow up call from Ethan to make sure I was happy with the work before he billed me. Extremely professional company, I highly recommend them for any work needed.

Called these guys first because they were so highly rated and immediately found out why. We called with a leak inside our house and immediately Ethan was empathetic to the experience more than focused on a quote. What a difference! Wife agrees that if we could leave 10 stars we would!

Noticed a leak in my ceiling right above my bed this morning and when I called First Rate Roofing, Ethan answered right away and was able to get his team out to assess within 40 min! His team was friendly and professional and found several potential problem areas that they were able to fix up to prevent further leaking. Everything was done only a couple hours after I even noticed the leak! With two babies on the way in just a week, I seriously appreciated the speedy response time! They showed me pictures to help understand the work they could do and also made recommendations for short term and long term fixes. With all the excellent reviews and their excellent service today, I'm sure we would be contacting them again for future repairs and our inevitable roof replacement!

The team at First Rate Roofing Services did an outstanding job! We needed our roof replaced due to a leak, and they tackled the project with incredible efficiency. They removed over three layers of roofing—including cedar shake—in under an hour! The entire replacement, including the house and garage, was done in just two days.

I was impressed with their smooth workflow, professionalism, and friendliness. They were easy to work with and made sure everything was cleaned up by the end of each day. We were especially grateful that they took care of some deteriorating fascia as well.

Awesome company! Ethan was extremely prompt at coming out and assessing the metal roof on my large shop that was leaking. He explained clearly what the problem was (all fasteners had worked loose over time) and was able to schedule his crew to come out within a week, even though they were clearly already busy. They were very professional and courteous, and completed the replacement of all fasteners in one day. At the completion of the job, Ethan sent 'before and after' photos of their work. I highly recommend Ethan and his entire crew for any roofing work you may have!!

Amazing roofing company! We recently discovered a leak in our shop roof. The house was on the market so everything needed to be in great working order, and very quickly. We called Ethan and he came out right away to do an estimate. He took photos to document the situation, explained the easy fix, and scheduled us for the repair on Christmas Eve! They got rained out, but the weather cooperated a few days later. They repaired the roof, took photos of the finished work to document, left the work site clean, and we are back in business. As I said, Amazing! I highly recommend First Rate Roofing!

I cannot measure my satisfaction with Ethan and his crew by just using the five stars. I had a portion of my roof blow off in a wind storm and after randomly picking First Rate off a Google search they overwhelmed my house. They were out there immediately to do a temporary patch while I worked with insurance. On the day I approved the invoice they actually had the permanent repair scheduled and completed before I even saw the response. They set my mind at ease in a situation that could have been stressful. Ethan is an authentic, trustworthy, professional, and reliable owner/operator.

They were finishing up another job in the area, and wanted to know if they might come by and do my job...a week ahead of time! They were quick and very professional. They did the repair exactly as Ethan had explained. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

This company is awesome!!! Reasonably priced and very professional. Ethan, the owner, is very knowledgeable and explained everything that needed done to repair two nasty leaks we had. He answered all our questions and sent us a quote that same day. We scheduled the work and the workers were on time and very professional as well. Due to unforseen circumstances, my wife and I had to postpone our job BUT, my mom also needed a new roof. Ethan and Brandon answered all of her questions and got it done! Their communication was excellent, the crew and clean-up was great, and they were incredibly attentive to my mom's dog who was a little stressed throughout the process!

I am very grateful to Ethan and Brandon and their amazing crew for replacing the roof on my new/old house. They clearly explained the problem areas and how the new materials and workmanship prevent future damage and costly repairs. My roof was completed in less than 2 days at a very reasonable cost. These young men were a delight to work with. They are professional AND very friendly…and they offer extensive professional handyman services for other inevitable repairs, replacements, needed upkeep and aesthetic enhancements. Brandon was just here doing a temporary fix on the wind-blown, ancient and water soaked slat backyard fence (which he will be totally replacing when the weather permits…)

Nathan and his crew were quick and thorough cleaning the gutters. They even replaced some aging caulk around the chimney and covered a few exposed nails.

First i have had 2 bid froom different roofing company . And i feel like they are taking advantage of me CALLING EVERYDAY PRESURING ME THAT MAKES UNCOMFORTABLE. Then i took a chance with FIRST RATE ROOFING SERVICES. ETHAN THE OWNER IS VERY HONEST I FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE TALKING TO HIM. HE DID NOT PRESURE ME AT ALL he even said i could get anather bid if i want to and the price he gave is reasonabl and affordable. I am satisfied with thier job. I will recomend them to my friend. First Rate Roof is incredible! Please get drink and settle in for this read. I have something to say :) They replaced my roof a month ago and from the estimate to completion they were very professional and kept great level of communication with me. I obtained 3 estimates from local companies that all initially passed my research process: I looked up projects each company had done over the past couple of years/ permits pulled and closed/ any complaints / workers comp issues / insurance carried and lastly I looked at reviews online. I came up with 3 I wanted to invite to bid.
What sold me on First Rate Roofing was when I met Ethan in person. He was the only owner that came out to look at my project . In fact, with the other 2 companies , I had a hard time figuring out who even owned the companies in my online research. ..... AND his estimate had a clause about the Workmanship Warranty ...NOBODY else out of the 3 companies I invited for bids did that !!! It was as if they couldn't warranty the work they did! All the companies had something about the shingle manufacturer warranty but the reality is that if the workmanship isn't good , the product warranty doesn't matter====I know I'm writing a lot here BUT this was an huge investment, and I'm trying to help you with your due diligence process==== I also liked the Owens Corning Duration products they installed. I read about the product online ( the specs) and went to "touch" the shingles at the local Big box stores on Sprague. The worries about color choice was last on my list of consideration when I chose the product. I was surprising pleased with the color options in the OC line. If you have problems with picking a color, don't worry, Ethan helped me with that too. I chose "Teak" which looks great with Grey-Taupe-green homes. That will leave some room for house paint color changes.
First rate roofing didn't have the lowest bid but that was NOT the deciding factor. The bid was very fair and I'd rather pay a couple dollars more to have a roofing company I had complete confidence in. Product warranties mean nothing if you can't trust the skill level of the Installer.
When I met Ethan, the owner, I was impressed by his knowledge about roofing, and the fact that he didn't mind answering my questions no matter how stupid they were :) I also found Ethan, is highly motivated individual who has built a team of roofers that echo his commitment to hard work.
Once I signed my contract, I scheduled the work to start about 5 weeks later. They took care of everything. It took about 2 days to do my roof.
They needed to replace a couple areas of the decking. Something I was really please with: they were able to take out all the ugly Mushroom Vent thingys and put in ridgeline venting which really helped update my house.
Every evening, the crew cleaned up my yard in such a way that I didn't know they'd even been there! I'm a stickler about my yard, and I appreciated that they took care to protect the plants surrounding my home. I've heard of roofers that leave nails behind that people find all year long BUT NOT THESE GUYS!! you just won't find anything and you will have a well done roof ...Maybe this was more than you wanted to know. I am going to post this review on a few different sites because this company deserves consideration by my Spokane area neighbors needing a new roof or repairs. I had a great experience and encourage you to check out this company. I would not hesitate to recommend or use their services again. Owner Ethan impressed me with his drive, background, business acumen, attitude and sincerity. His bid came in under other's I'd received, with premier shingles and enhancements. My earlier roofing experiences having a roof replaced, plus watching many other crews works usually require up to a week to replace a roof. Ethan said his crew could replace mine in 2 days. Crew foreman Brandon did an excellent job of keeping me informed before, after and during the process. The crew's clean up of my yard was perfect, couldn't tell they'd been here. Love my new roof. We just had our roof replaced by First Rate Roofing and it was a great experience. Great communication, done in two days (full tear off and re shingle) and my yard and other areas were super clean when they were done. Special shoutout to Brandon our site coordinator. Their bid was 50% less than the most expensive bid we got for this job. I would highly recommend them for any roofing job.

We got a new roof last month and couldn't be happier! The work was completed in a day, so day two was only clean up and inspection. Great work done well, speedy, and at a great price. We even decided to use them to build our front porch. We will be using them for other future projects and would definitely recommend.
