I hired first aid Chimney care to clean and inspect my fireplace & dryer vent They did an amazing job and the owner Ian is very professional, courteous, knowledgeable I see all the fake reviews that have been posted on his goggle page very unfortunate somebody would go out of there way to slander a local business knew it was fake right away.I wouldn’t use anybody else to service my fireplace. first aid chimney care will be my go to fireplace guy.

The owner came out and looked at my chimney on my new house before I bought it. He was very professional and courteous showed up when he was supposed to and communicated with me every step of the way . There was damage to the crown and inside of the chimney and suggested the repairs and gave me a written quote and was cheaper than the other companies I called which I had the seller cover the cost of and now we have a safe fireplace to use during those cold days . Ian was super great to work with- this is our first fireplace, and he really took the time to really explain everything to us- offering advice on grates to get, ways to build the fire to minimize smoke, and what needs to get fixed now vs what can wait. He was really communicative and flexible, as he had to come out a few times due to items he had ordered for us arriving later than expected. He works fast and efficiently but will take the time to show you his work and answer any questions. Will definitely be calling Ian to clean and check out fireplace every year! Ian did an awesome job repairing our chimney. He was extremely professional and talked me through everything he was doing. He was conscientious of my newborn as well which I really appreciated. He went out of his way to recommend a better grate for our fireplace and even offered other helpful tips for first time chimney owners. Had a lot of backup in the vent pipe, as well as sawdust jamming up the auger of our pellet stove. Ian took care of all the problems and got the heat going again. Easy to work with, fair pricing, fixed the problem.

We wee very happy with with Ian's installation of our Osburn 1700! It's no wonder he has so many great reviews on Google. He did an amazing job putting the stove together, sawing through the roof and installing all the pipe work. He pulled it all off in about four hours. I was impressed! After a few small fires to break the stove in, we had a really nice fire going this morning that heated up the the whole house. We highly recommend Ian and First Aid Chimney Care!

Called for a leaking chimney and got a quick response. They did a great job replacing the old wood stack with a nice stucco and sealed everything up. Ian was great at keeping us informed on the progress. Would recommend !

I made an appointment with First Aid Chimney Care, he called and said he would be about 10 minutes late, Ian arrived and went to work. I had him inspect our brick fireplace and he adjusted the damper and cleaned the chimney. Inspected our wood burning stove and gave us a couple of suggestions to bring it up to code or change to a pellet stove , I also had him clean out the dryer vent. Very professional, neat, respectful and even removed his shoes before walking on the carpet. I was very impressed with this company, thank you Ian for the excellent customer care and service. I was searching for a wood stove installation service to diagnose the soot problem with my current stove. I called 29 businesses or more and none of them followed up. I called Ian at First aid chimney care and he was just finished with a job. He came over in 15 minutes, crawled into the crawl space and diagnosed the problem. I gave Ian the job! I decided to purchase a wood stove online (what a mistake) and I received it damaged and refused shipment. That's when I decided to buy the Osburn 1700 stove from Ian. He answered or returned phone calls and texts every step of the way. He even assisted with the roof repair because the entire stove pipe had to be replaced and moved. Ian is Diligent and hard working. I would hire Ian again in a heartbeat!

We hired Ian (the owner) of First Aid Chimney Care to come find out why our house was smelling like smoke each time we had a fire. Ian came out right away and discovered our chimney was leaking. We decided to replace the chimney and fireplace after using it extensively for 25 years. Ian was spectacular as he made sure our furniture and our dogs were safe while he carefully removed the unit and installed the new one. He paid attention to the smallest details and persevered until all was perfect. He coordinated with a plasterer to close the wall surrounding the fireplace. I had two birds stuck in my chimney pipe. I called several chimney companies and First Aid Chimney Care was the only that would fit me in that same day. The technician was able to carefully grab them and release them...they both flew away. He then cleaned the stove and chimney and was cool about turning off his vacuum at times as I was on an online meeting while this was going on. So, in short, this company cares about their work and creating happy customers.

We originally contacted this company to have our chimney cleaned. The service was fair and timely, especially during the busy season as we begin the slow move toward winter. The sweep was quick and reasonable, though Ian highly recommended it was time we have our stove replaced. He showed us where we could order stoves and have them delivered to the house, after which he would gladly install for us. Considerations for installation also included the need for a narrower diameter in chimney piping as the original set-up contributed to the old stove over-heating. On the day of installation, he showed up alone, removed the old stove, took out the old chimney piping, and installed all new pieces in less than two hours. His work was clean and efficient and his insight to all our wood-burning needs was extremely helpful. We will be calling Ian again to service our chimney this summer. This is a truly reliable business.
