The team at FineLine was fabulous for our full kitchen renovation. We chose them because of the good results and positive experience from friends, who had a similar project. What a great decision! Great showroom with very knowledgeable designers. I remodeling my kitchen and 2 baths with Fineline Kitchens and couldn’t be happier with design and quality of products.

This is the second time we’ve had to repair a leak from the work that fineline has done. The first leak they didn’t even put glue in the drain lines from the bathroom sink. This leak is from the shower, which they also did not use glue in the drain lines. This has cost us an extra $4k in repairs from shoddy work. Sarah is difficult to get in contact with and does not respond in a timely fashion and will blame her subcontractors instead of owning the issue.

Fineline Kitchens renovated our whole house when we purchased our forever home. Sarah has a great vision that she made sure it translated to a clean installation. We already referred them to our friends.

I’ve waited three years since my kitchen and bath remodel to review as I wanted to see the longer term quality of work before I provided a rating. I’m giving three stars due to the fact that much of the work hasn’t held up well over normal use. I just had a plumber and mold remediation/water damage specialist repair the master bath plumbing that caused a three year leak into my dining room ceiling. The FineLine contractor did not glue the pipes when installing the new plumbing for the vanity. I’ve had the same contractor back to my house at least four times to fix the molding on my kitchen island and it’s still not fixed properly. The shoe molding was never nailed in securely and pops off if caught on the corner. The tiler for the master bath left grout clumps on the marble tile, effectively ruining the look of the marble floor. Sarah has nice design ideas but was difficult to get in touch with throughout the project. Communication is poor on all fronts with FineLine. I asked to not do both projects simultaneously unless we had two teams doing the work. They assured me it would be two, in reality it was the same team and the project took longer. Sarah claimed to have forgot to add in the estimate for a piece of quartz and billed me for it later; bait and switch? I shouldn’t have had to pay for her mistake. Overall, on the surface the project will turn out looking 85% decent but will not hold up over time and only cause you more expense and headaches.

In reply to the FineLine response to my review: no, you completed the job in 2018, which is less than five years ago. I waited 3 years to review your work here and did not give you a good review prior to that. I did not have other plumbers until this year when we discovered that your plumbers did not glue the pipes. Yes, you did send numerous crews to fix your work - but that was for the poor cabinet trim installation and cabinet hinges, not leaks they caused at the original time of work. I am not posting reviews using other names, my husband posted a review out of his own frustration with your “craftmanship.” You claimed in your response to his review that you do not have a client by those initials, indeed you did. I don’t expect any efforts by FineLine to remedy the problems created by their work, but I do not recommend the company.

Additional update: Now our toilet has leaked due to poor installation and caused another area of damage to our dining room ceiling. We are very upset that FineLine’s “renovations” have proven to be destructive to our home.

Kitchen design experience:
At first I was excited to have FineLine Kitchens come take a look at my outdated kitchen. Sarah had designed my friend's kitchen, and I could tell that she has good (but expensive) taste.

Working with Sarah just to get an honest quote on my kitchen remodel was a waste of everyone's time. Her arrogance and lack of professionalism was even worse than her price tag. She insisted on blindly charging $2500-$3000 before even sitting down with her to do a design saying many times "my work speaks for itself" and that its a boutique experience. No formal quote or anything on paper. I have gotten a few other companies and designers come in and they have given me step-by-step quotes as well as a peek of what they had been planning for a design. With a big smile, too! She says that sometimes she won't even take a project that's "not worth her time", but she said she was exited to come up with a design for my kitchen after she returned from a month long vacation.

1+ months later, even more unprofessional and disorganized, she canceled my appointment without notice, despite our correspondence over email. She did not take the time to answer what few questions I had when I walked into the studio, which is when she looked at me like I was trespassing.

Bottom line: FineLine kitchen designs may "speak for itself" but it does nothing to convey Sarah's arrogance and extreme lack of self awareness. Good luck to all her future clients!

The project was finished within the timeline they had mentioned in our contract. He kept us informed every step of the way, gave us good suggestions and helped us make better decisions.
