Words cannot describe how pleased we were with FGS Construction. We used FGS for our whole house gut remodel in Washington DC for our 1950s single-family home. The renovation turned out much better than we could have ever dreamed. FGS has excellent communication. Their responses were always prompt and thorough. They always took their time to answer our concerns. FGS also has good attention to detail. More often than not when we would have an issue to raise, Fredy and the rest of the team would already be aware and on their way to take care of it. The team also has great design skills. They helped us pick out many of the colors, vanities, fixtures, and overall aesthetic of the house. They made the process much less overwhelming for us. Finally, they are an honest company. They are upfront with their pricing and take great pride in the work that they do. We highly recommend them.

What a pleasure to work with! We struggled to get a quote and Fredy was responsive and followed through with sending us a reasonable price! He made a few trips out to make sure the final deck was what we wanted and they worked around our budget and design ideas. I am having them back to complete the rest of the patio and underneath and am so happy to have found a contractor that we can trust who is reliable and does amazing work!! We are definitely going to use them for our other house projects!

Highly recommend FGS Construction & Remodeling. This was our first time going through a real renovation. We had so many questions all the time. They helped us navigate all aspects of the remodel, they were kind, punctual, friendly and efficient. There is nothing I would change.
Because of them we were able to remodel two bathrooms back to back. It was seamless and the results are nothing short of amazing.
On a personal note, we dreamed of being able to update our childhood home to make it more comfortable for my mother.
Our mother’s only request was that it had to be marble. Freddy and his team were able to take us from an old blue tile to a marble walk in making it beautiful and more functional for her. It was truly a dream come true. Again, this crew went above and beyond in all aspects. Thank you!!

We remodeled our primary bathroom and turned to Fredy and his team. Walls were moved, plumbing reconfigured and lights added. I mention this to share it was a sizeable project and my first major renovation. Fredy and the team was amazing! The pricing was comparable to others, but it was the attention to communication and collaboration that won me over. You never wonder where something stands because they anticipate and communicate regularly. I cannot recommend them enough.

I had FGS do a few projects in my house and had a really good experience overall and I recommend them to others. FGS installed recessed lighting in my living room, split a bathroom light and fan from one switch into two, and repaired two electrical outlets (one loose/wobbly, one painted over). As part of installing the recessed lights, they also repaired all the drywall/ceiling holes and re-painted.

I chose them over 2 other contractors even though their estimate wasn't the lowest for a couple reasons. 1) They were recommended by a friend. 2) Other contractors said they'd get me a quote by a certain day and were many days (to weeks!) late and required multiple follow-ups from me. By contrast FGS promised a quote within a week and delivered it the next day. The timing itself isn't a huge issue but doing what you say you'll do means a lot to me. 3) A good balance of suggesting options without upselling - they noticed my bathroom fan was very loud and suggested updating it which hadn't occurred to me. On the other hand they didn't think it was really necessary to replace an incandescent bulb with a fluorescent one in my dining room. One contractor proposed both things (maybe an unnecessary upsell?) and another didn't mention either thing. Neither of those is a disaster but I thought the balance from FGS was very reasonable. 4) Clean up! FGS does the whole job, including dry wall repair and re-painting. The other contractors were going to leave me with holes in my ceiling/wall to repair myself or requiring a drywall contractor. They also did a great job putting down tarps and generally cleaning up after themselves.

FGS also came back after the work was done to fix some very minor buzzing coming from the dimmer switch, and didn't charge me extra for the additional trip out. I really appreciated that.

Overall they were fast (2 days for everything), did high quality work and did it cleanly, and were responsive throughout. While FGS wasn't the cheapest option I think I got good value for the money and will use them again for future projects.

We hired Fredy and his team to install recessed lighting and paint the interior of our house. We are absolutely delighted with how the project turned out. They were extremely careful, thorough, and detail-oriented throughout the whole thing. Our walls were a little dinged up, so some drywall repair was necessary, but they really went above and beyond what was required - they patched up huge sections of walls, re-constructed corners, and basically made the whole interior of the house look brand new. When it came to the actual painting, there were a few imperfections after day 1 that we made a note of, but we never had to say a word - they fixed every tiny thing we had noticed, and probably other things too that we hadn't noticed, by the time we looked the next day. When installing lights, they were careful to ensure that they'd appear symmetrically placed even though the layout of our house makes that tricky (windows not centered on walls, etc.). They even repaired a broken banister for us (we didn't ask, they just did it), and swapped out some light fixtures for free. They estimated about a week for the project, and even though we added work halfway through (two additional lights and an extra hallway to paint), they only needed one extra day at the end.

We had a disappointing experience with a different contractor last year when we renovated our basement, so we know from personal experience that this kind of attention to detail is NOT universal among contractors. We will recommend Fredy and his team to everyone we know and they'll be our first call when we need more work done.

We worked with FGS team for several home projects this year and have been so happy with the quality and customer service. The prices were fair, the quality of the work is truly top notch. It’s obvious Fredy really cares about the work and wants his clients to be happy. Everyone in the office is communicative and the crew cleaned everything up very thoroughly at the end of every day. That matters when you are getting new kitchen floors with kids living in the home! We will definitely be using them again.

The FGS team did an outstanding job remodeling the kitchen. The process was a rip and remodel so it didn't take as long as most kitchens. His team were professional and responsive. They cleaned up each day and were extremely detailed orientated in the completion. I am extremely happy with the quality.

We had an amazing experience working with Fredy, Sylvia, Will, Rafael and crew to have our deck replaced with composite decking at our home. The entire team was very easy to work with, responsive in communication, friendly and completed the work quickly. Pricing was lower than several other groups we received quotes from for the same work. You will see very quickly that Fredy genuinely cares about the work he and his team completes and about you as a customer.

We would absolutely use FGS again for other projects at our home!

FGS construction completed our kitchen renovation about two years ago, and I've recommended them enthusiastically ever since. Fredy and his team completed the work only one week after scheduled (amazing for a kitchen reno and that was mostly due to DC permitting delays). They were courteous, extremely detail oriented, and left the job site tidy each day (all of this greatly appreciated since we were still living in the house during the time). Plan to call them whenever we need more work done around the house!

A neighbor recommended FGS to us, and we sure are thankful! We got three quotes to replace our front door, and FGS was in the middle with a reasonable price. Communication and customer service were tops however, it felt as if a family member were taking care of our job. Scheduling was quick, and their craftsmen were the most clean, organized, and respectful. Probably the best experience we’ve ever had with having craftsmen/handymen working on our home. The quality of the work was top notch – perfect, and the new door is airtight and functions smoothly. A craftsman even visited two days later to check up on the install and show me how to adjust my bottom threshold with a screwdriver as the weather changes from season to season. You won’t be disappointed with this company!

Fredy and his team did a fantastic job installing our doors. We also asked him to give us quotes for new decks, and he took the most time to discuss options with us and look into options on his own time, versus other contractors we got quotes from. They were courteous and professional and did extra things to truly complete the job (like painting our whole basement wall since we were unsure if the exact color). The office manager was also very responsive with emails. Would highly recommend!

Fred and his team could not have done a better job, and been more accommodating! Such fair prices, and absolutely excellent work. Fred was happy to help us with anything and everything, and was such a gentleman. He will be our "guy" for any project in both of our two homes in the years to come! Can't recommend him highly enough! Took such great care of us, and went above and beyond. We just fell in love with him!!
