FDC Construction was easy to work with. They were quick to respond for a request for window glass replacement. I was provided an estimate the same day of my request and the glass ordered and installed within 6 days of initial contact. The price was reasonable, the worker completing the job, professional and the work itself top notch. I would work with them again.

I experienced a leak in my crawlspace, which damaged the insulation and required replacement. FDC Construction quickly came out, assessed the situation, and provided a fair estimate for the new insulation installation. They were prompt with follow-up and managed to complete the installation the very next day after the estimate. I was very pleased with their efficient service and professionalism.

We are working with FDC on two projects. In the first project, they remodeled a shop building that had fallen into disrepair. It needed everything--roof, drywall, floor refinish, etc. We are extremely happy with the results and will be using them again for a remodel of a 1965 home. The photo provides a glimpse of before/after in the shop. I would recommend FDC. We've dealt with many contractors and they are the most skilled and fairly priced I've had the opportunity to work with.

For those not interested in reading this review in its entirety then my takeaway is—if it were possible for me to go back in time to before I started this project leaving me with my old and severely outdated kitchen then I would. It would have saved me so much money, time, and stress.

Below is my full review:

In stark contrast to the number of the other positive reviews that have been made, my experience with FDC had not been as pleasant. The scope of the project was to remodel my kitchen with the additional request to replace the flooring of my condo, and the projected timeline of the project was to be 2-3 weeks. The reality was that the project took 5 months to complete—not including the planning phase or how they needed to come back and correct/investigate issues that I found post completion.

This was my first remodel that I have done ever so I do not know the standard for communication, however, I will state that mine was severely lacking in both timeliness and professionalism. There were multiple instances where I had to disrupt my workday due to contractors, that FDC hires, needed access to my home which was not properly communicated with me. There was a particular situation where I only found out that a contract needed access due to a call from my neighbors giving me a call—while I was at work—that someone had been pounding on my door for some time.

As for the quality of work that they’ve done, on the surface, I would give them a positive rating, but the truth is that I would give them mediocre. As I began to use my newly finished kitchen, I noticed that there were things here and there that I found to be overlooked. The hose for my faucet was wrapped around my piping where it would constantly move the other hoses under my sink. There was an issue with my garbage disposal that needed to be addressed; the connection for my oven is exposed and comes in contact with my cabinet drawers. One of my cabinet shelves were not properly installed and was missing the proper materials to install it myself.

The entire project, as a whole, gave me the impression that it had little to no oversight with the project taking as long as it did due to setbacks that could have been avoided—such as wrong items being ordered, not being ordered, and the timeliness of how things were handled. At the beginning of the project, I would have recommended them to others, but now I would no longer do so. Though they’ve completed my kitchen remodel, I’ve lost all trust in the quality of the work.

Wonderful company to work with. No negatives. They demolished our master bath bathtub enclosure and guest bath stall shower down to the studs and remodeled it beautifully. Everyone we dealt with was professional, prompt, courteous, honest, checking with us on all the details and followed our condo HOA rules to a tee! They gave us lots of options and were accessible at every step. We needed to have an adjustment a couple of weeks after the project ended and they had one of the crew out here the next day and everything was taken care of. We couldn't be happier. FDC recently completed a major update of my kitchen, breakfast nook and laundry room. My goal was to keep the original character of the older home, which was beautifully accomplished. The original cabinets were sanded down and repainted, however some internal reconfiguration was done to better meet current storage needs. The Marmoleum flooring was painstakingly installed in the same layout as the home's original flooring, and the tile backsplash looks like it could have been original as well. It all turned out great, and the workers were very respectful of my home throughout the project.

Wonderful experience with FDC, they listened to my ideas for remodeling a large chunk of my home and helped me expand on it as well as working beautifully within my budget, they even threw in some extra bits and pieces when they ran into issues relating to the original construction of my home AND found, stopped and fixed a roof leak I didn't even know I had. Absolutely recommend them to anyone needing work done, I am SO happy with my remodel!

FDC Construction contractors did an amazing job on my vanity.

I had a very old retro vanity that needed to be replaced.

I found one that I absolutely loved and had to have but it had a crack in the stone vanity top.

FDC took on the task and repaired it. My new vanity looks amazing .

They also installed my new mirror medicine cabinet along with lights.

FDC Construction has been a great choice for the bathroom remodels (three) and a bathroom installation in our home. They also remodeled my daughter’s entire basement apartment. The owner, Viorel, takes great pride in the craftsmanship of the work. He is very responsive for any issues that arise, even commenting that it’s not about a warranty but taking care of the customer. Good quality work at affordable prices. Highly recommend.

FDC did a full remodel of 2 bathrooms for us. I can’t say enough great things. Great group of people. From Viorel to Dorin and Viorel’s hilarious father they all worked very hard to give us a 2 phenomenal bathrooms. Seriously, after each one was done we were reluctant to use them at first as they were just gorgeous!

They have a guy named Roman who is an awesome and extremely detailed who literally will make sure you are happy every step of the way and will also make the best suggestions if you run into any unforeseen issues.Definitely will use FDC again! Thanks guys!

Great work and good communication. We are very happy with our kitchen remodel. We are already planning to do a bathroom remodel with them.

This spring, Viorel helped me with remodeling my fireplace surrounding. Although it’s a very small project, he and his colleague treated it seriously. He came to my house twice and discussed all the design and construction details with me in advance. When it’s finished, my fireplace looked so beautiful and amazing! I received a lot of compliments for this ever since. Thank you Viorel! Definitely will recommend to my friends!

We had Viorel's company do the tile work for a guest bathroom about a year ago. We hadn't really used it much until recently and noticed that the shower floor tiles (which were irregular pebbles) trapped water because they weren't sloped enough and consequently the floor never dried. Texted Viorel year and mentioned the problem and he came out a few days later to look at the problem and then had one of his guys come out to tear up some of the shower floor and reset it at a greater slope. Turned out great. Very impressed by the rapid response to remedy this after such a long time had passed. No hesitation at all to make sure this was done to our satisfaction. Very impressed.
